Canibus VS Dizaster, went down on June 9th and will be known as the biggest rap battle of the modern era. This was a clash between two very respected and feared artists on a stage where a star's presence and ability to rap with conviction will prove that these are the best of the best in an arena fit for only the most resilient and unique rappers. Canibus, known best for his gutsy shots at L.L. Cool J and other famous artists will attempt to dethrone the current battle rap juggernaut, Dizaster. These battle rappers are cut from a different cloth. They are extremely good at memorising their bars and executing them on the day. Dizaster is an absolute pro at this and has bodied many other battle rappers. Canibus isn’t used to this style of rhyming and it showed. I honestly think Canibus did the best he could considering he had no dirt on dizaster probably didn’t even know who he was, meanwhile dizaster had a full understanding of canibus’s past and could pick on that. This was a disaster waiting to happen but I admire Canibus for his efforts nonetheless, I don’t think this ended his career and I still think that Canibus is one of the 5 greatest rappers ever 👍
Agreed on this. Canibus’ life is more publicly documented, therefore giving Diz more ammo. I think any one of these battle rappers would’ve beat Canibus. But I believe ‘Bus would be able to outperform some of these guys on a beat, because these battle rappers would not be able to spit most of these bars with the proper flow.
If you think about it, Dizaster still doesn't have a legit career that was as prominent as Canibus...He still got inducted into the Rap Hall of Fame

Most rappers can memorize a rap they wrote in a week or so when they practice fr, battle rappers have months to prepare so that's plenty of time as long as they don't slouch

Hopefully Hip-hop heads took note of what Diz said at the end. Some of us are old enough to remember when Canibus couldn't be touched. This can be compared to an All-Star athlete who came out of retirement. You can see that they may still have some of their magic, but they aren't the same as they were in their "prime". For a legendary MC to put themselves out there, says a lot. Cassidy is one of the few who at least attempted. Sure, Diz bodied Canibus here... but without competition, there is no battle. We all have to pass the tourch one day. Propz 2 both emcees.
I’m surprised the judges didn’t prevent Canibus from going into his third round because of his notebook and just let him spit those awkward rhymes. It shouldn’t ended at the moment when he brought it out. I was also surprised that his friends or some of the battle watchers that were there gave Canibus the notebook, despite knowing that he’s going against the grain.

Ha, internet people love a "viral meltdown moment", more than they actually enjoy having to listen to something. Hate him or love him, Canibus is the only established artist in the history of hip-hop to actually have the balls to do this. He did a live battle against the absolute best in the biz, and anyone who's ever listened to Tech & Sway or KOTD knows 90% of it is pre-written, it's called being a lyricist.

As I came back after all this time to check out this train wreck, I realized that canibus had the chance to end his misery when disaster started rapping. He actually stopped him and insisted on busting out more of those awful rhymes. It’s like prolonging your own torture by choice
