I literally found your channel last week because I bought a blown up YZ250F (LOL) and am in the process of rebuilding her. The crankshaft is the first order of business, and I plan to do something almost identical to your design. Keep it up!
To be honest, I don’t love it. It does what it is supposed to do but it takes extended periods of time. In hindsight, I would have gotten a much beefier unit
Hey I’ve got a question for you regarding a build of mine, I’ve got a NIBBI carburator with a short intake. It runs fine aside from when you give it a quick throttle opening it bogs, I’ve heard it’s the accelerator pump but I don’t see one on this carb. Any help would be appreciated
There is no accelerator pump in that model. They are not race bikes and don’t respond well to quick throttle movements anyways. If it is excessively bad, you have jetting issues. The carburetor that you have on there could potentially either be too big or too small for the engine. How does the bike pull wide-open throttle in third gear?
@@restoroosterohv That is where I am confused because if you slowly pull the throttle it revs up normally, with wide open throttle along with mid throttle it pulls great, all signs that my jetting and needle should be fine.
Kawasaki designed the carburetor to respond well to normal throttle inputs. You don’t have the same guarantee with an aftermarket. If the bore is too large and you crank the throttle wide open quickly, with no accelerator pump the mixture goes lean quickly until it can “catch up”. 2 choices if it runs fine mostly is live with it or find and oem replacement carb.
Let me get one built. If you decide you don’t want it I’m sure I can sell it. Once it’s done, I can get a shipping estimate to see how much it would cost me
FINALLY A NEW VIDEO! I learn so much from your videos. You deserve many more subscribers.
Thank you for your kind words and continued support.
Super nice tool to have in the Bike Shop. Now I know what I will be making tomorrow! Keep up the nice work! 👍
Thanks for watching. I’m using it right now for an upcoming video.
Awesome video! That is definately a useful and profitable tool in the shop! Can’t wait to see some cranks pressed apart!
Thank you. Works great!

Thank you. YZs are super easy to build. I have a lot of videos on them. Good luck.
@@restoroosterohv such a great resource! I’ve watched all the recent ones. SUPER helpful.
@JW23551 I appreciate it
Love these videos!! Thank you!
I love that you love them. Thank you for your support.
Another great video!!! Valuable information!!!
As always, I appreciate your support
Great work with limited tools. Looks like it’s going to work as intended.
Thank you, it did!
Nice work!
Thank you for your feedback and support
ok its official. You have mad skillz
How does this channel not have 100k subscribers?
Thank you for your kind words.
🤞🏻
Awesome info here man. If I already had a hydraulic press I'd prob make one. Unfortunately, I do not.....yet.
Keep an eye on Harbor Freight for sales or your local Marketplace. Get a 20 ton minimum.
May I suggest Facebook reels to generate traffic to this channel?
Some of the best internal engine content!
I do have a few shorts. I suppose I could put them on the reels as well. Appreciate the advice and thank you for your feedback.
Do you think this is going to be accurate enough? Or is it that kinda of redundant because your just lining up the outside half’s of the crank?
The crank needs to be adjusted after being pressed together. This will help minimize that by getting the webs close.
I found your channel because someone at work told me you bought there rm125 is this for that bike or any update on it just curious?
I am in the process of that repair. Stay tuned for that episode.
How do you like the lathe?
To be honest, I don’t love it. It does what it is supposed to do but it takes extended periods of time. In hindsight, I would have gotten a much beefier unit

Hi
Can you make one for me and ship it?
I will pay for it
I would 100% do it if I had better equipment. It takes forever to do anything on my mini jewelers lathe.
@restoroosterohv its ok I'm not in a rush I can wait a month? How much will it cost?
Probably around $350 usd.
@restoroosterohv if I pay you 400.
Can you ship it to Australia 🇦🇺 Melbourne with fed ex?

Why buy when you can build 👍🏻
Saves money too
