    I literally found your channel last week because I bought a blown up YZ250F (LOL) and am in the process of rebuilding her. The crankshaft is the first order of business, and I plan to do something almost identical to your design. Keep it up!

    Do you think this is going to be accurate enough? Or is it that kinda of redundant because your just lining up the outside half’s of the crank?

    • @restoroosterohv
      @restoroosterohv  10 месяцев назад

      The crank needs to be adjusted after being pressed together. This will help minimize that by getting the webs close.

    • @restoroosterohv
      @restoroosterohv  10 месяцев назад +1

      To be honest, I don’t love it. It does what it is supposed to do but it takes extended periods of time. In hindsight, I would have gotten a much beefier unit

    Hey I’ve got a question for you regarding a build of mine, I’ve got a NIBBI carburator with a short intake. It runs fine aside from when you give it a quick throttle opening it bogs, I’ve heard it’s the accelerator pump but I don’t see one on this carb. Any help would be appreciated

    • @restoroosterohv
      @restoroosterohv  10 месяцев назад

      There is no accelerator pump in that model. They are not race bikes and don’t respond well to quick throttle movements anyways. If it is excessively bad, you have jetting issues. The carburetor that you have on there could potentially either be too big or too small for the engine. How does the bike pull wide-open throttle in third gear?

    • @magic_man3899
      @magic_man3899 10 месяцев назад

      @@restoroosterohv That is where I am confused because if you slowly pull the throttle it revs up normally, with wide open throttle along with mid throttle it pulls great, all signs that my jetting and needle should be fine.

    • @restoroosterohv
      @restoroosterohv  10 месяцев назад

      Kawasaki designed the carburetor to respond well to normal throttle inputs. You don’t have the same guarantee with an aftermarket. If the bore is too large and you crank the throttle wide open quickly, with no accelerator pump the mixture goes lean quickly until it can “catch up”. 2 choices if it runs fine mostly is live with it or find and oem replacement carb.
