I would disagree. This video is not a realistic thread at all. Go to my channel if you care to see how an accurate thread is done.

Is there a good way to clean up the end? I was going to hid a chamfer but that doesn't regenerate -- that or add a chamfer/round to the end of the extrude.

I am having a consistent problem with this. Once I get my thread profile sketched, I close the sketch, then try to hit the remove material button, but the only thing that happens is the arrows show up, and it won't let me continue... any idea why?

Did you close the triangle? I mean while using LINE tool.......

      A. I. Yes, if I remember correctly I did end up figuring it out... not sure it was a while ago.

how do you get rid of the triangle it left at the top?

it might be late, but for the future - start the helical sweep from the other side and make the line longer than the actual part, then it will continue to make the sweep outside of the model and the triangle will not be there
