I have the Milwaukee Fuel sectional version of the K60. They are good machines.

Great ViD! Thanks for calling it a TMP everyone should call it that!! Just rolls of the tongue easier ! I dragged a water heater up a flight of stairs a used 50 gal so it was heavy ...still feeling it ! But I'm old and out of shape good to know about the squats! I'm not real comfortable sweating ball valves I always think i'm going to cook the seal - but that gate valve had to go I hate those things ! For the record its my experience those plastic drain valves on the rheems are the source of the leak , I can't tell you how many times I have replaced with a brass drain valve sucked out the water relit and was on my way! But I get it , most plumbers prefer replacement because they don't want to warranty repairs ! A guy did a video on professional grade vrs box store water heaters , I don't think there is a difference personally , I think its a industry Bias! I think it would have flushed out in a lawsuit by now, some class action or something , there is no benefit from making a water heater less likely to survive (besides selling more of them) , because its under warranty , even though most people don't use it and then your brand takes a HIT! Just my Opinion! Thanks for reading!

I understand why you did it, and it is allowed, but technically, the expansion tank is upside down. It doesn’t operate optimally, and therefore won’t last as long. I had a conversation with Amtrol’s representatives one day about it at the supply house. Just my personal preference. I typically support it the same way, except couple it, add another nipple that extends the run long enough in front of the heater to flip it threads up. Nice video! Great work as always.

It says in the installation instructions it can be installed upside down, right side up or on its side

Nice parking! yes - street parking is bad since you constantly gotta lock the docks and STILL keep an eye on it.... Great video; thanks. Nice job squatting the tank!

It was the drain valve, not the whole tank. If you undo the lines and pull the access door off you can confirm it. Every one of those gray plastic valves leaks after a few years at most.

Nice job and I enjoy your videos it's good seeing plumbing from a different country as I'm a plumber from the UK your water cylinder the plumbing is more simple compared to UK ones as we have gas boilers that heats the water in the cylinder which has way more pipework

I normally do if the water heater is inside a garage or house but since there's a crawl space right beneath I didn't feel it's necessary and then id have to drill holes through the stucco cuz I'd have to route the drain to the exterior of the building per code, similar to how the t and p is

Great job thinking ahead as a service plumber doing those little things will keep from call backs. When I was an apprentice plumber ( 40 + years ago) I was told to wipe my joints removing any access dope off the fittings. You might not have shown the final in part of your video but is this something that is done and taught ?

How do you like the grey pro dope? Everyone seems to use the blue monster stuff now but it always seems inconsistent/watery after mixing it.

    • @pershingplumbing9007

I agree with you, blue monster dope is too watery. Pro dope is my favorite, nice, thick and gooey and it cleans up even easier than the blue monster dope
