As Allah says : Quran chapter 6 verse 108 :
˹O believers!˺ Do not insult what they invoke besides Allah or they will insult Allah spitefully out of ignorance. This is how We have made each people’s deeds appealing to them. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them of what they used to do.
Allah says Quran chapter 28 verse 56 :
You surely cannot guide whoever you like ˹O Prophet˺, but it is Allah Who guides whoever He wills, and He knows best who are ˹fit to be˺ guided.

If we follow your logic, people who act with violence upon their turbulent emotions should just continue doing it because "they are who they are" which is nonsense and ARROGANCE in fact for not wanting to change themselves to the better while knowing they are wrong. In other words, u r projecting an attitude similar to those who u criticise : great job for self-refuting yourself. And once again : making jokes on people and insulting them because of their ignorance will not make their ignorance disappear it will just make things worse and people more closed to accepting the truth.
And on the top of that, the person asked u a very clear and important question : "what is wrong ? Why should she change religion ?" which is a valid question. Quran chapter 25 verse 63 :
The ˹true˺ servants of the Most Compassionate are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the foolish address them ˹improperly˺, they only respond with peace.
So since we should reply peacefully to those who addresses us improperly, what about those who ask proper question ?

This woman is such an amazing person. Rather than holding on to the western narrative of what a Muslim is and what our religion is, she stood there and listened and asked questions. Super proud of her! I started to wear the hijab 3 years ago, and I can tell you I was someone who did not see the need for the hijab since we have laws that protect us. BUT with that said, I noticed such a change in how men, even white males who aren't Muslim treat me. They make actual effort to move out of my way and are careful not to touch me- which I felt was a natural instinct for them to see my hijab and automatically adjust themselves to be aware of how close they got to me. I also noticed sadly, that many of my friends did not take too kindly to me wearing the hijab, when literally nothing else changed about me, but this piece of cloth on my head and that was enough to make them back away from me and not maintain our friendship. Which is fine, but I would have rather they asked questions about it than just end the friendship.

Doing a BA in counselling it’s interesting how we are taught to honour the persons space and shaking hands or hugging is considered crossing personal space and boundaries. Islam came to us more than 1400 years ago.

as much as I don't follow the faith, the idea of feminism is true. Female are too career oriented and are being treated to be like men. It's not a good thing in terms of making strong society. Good convo on this honestly
