I'm curious why you used an LOC and tapped it into a factory subwoofer . You already have a Low/sub signal without using an LOC just by tapping into the factory sub signal . You only need a LOC if your trying to get a low/sub signal from a high level speaker signal .

Are you required to tap into the sub speaker wires as opposed to splicing all to LOC input?

    Which LOC did you use?
Wouldn't you connect both L&R LOC inputs to the different voice coils on the dual voice coil subwoofer or will that cause issues?

Curious why didnt you just tap into the post factory amp side for the speakers located on passenger side trunk behind the carpet? Wouldn't that be a clean set up?

I would of tapped it from there too 😂

I have a similar set up but I'm not picking up bass below 35hz. I'm wondering if the crossover from the factory amp is set to a higher frequency or there is a problem with my line out converter. Have you noticed this?

I haven't done any specific testing for that. It sounds normal.

Hello, good afternoon, hey, I was interested in your video looking at how you changed the horn, but what interests me is how you changed the light on the doors, you cut out the light on the panels, put the LED welcome light where it says sonata

I think you mixed up your message on the wrong video. Not sure what you are talking about here.

I'm looking at using the Rockville 11 inch spare tire sub... It includes high pass 14 gage standard Left/Right wire and low pass RCA options for signal input. I'm lucky in that my battery is in the trunk already and I also have an 8 inch free air sub in the rear deck (2013 R-Spec Sedan). It looks like you tapped into the single coil sub... Did you just create your own "Y" splitter off the single + and -?

I cut the pos. & neg. wires in half and tapped into them with the red and black wires you see going to the LOC.

    I just bought a 2009 Limited
Does it have a Sub and Amp (factory) in it?
I want to replace the radio I’m assuming all the wires needed should be behind the old stereo?
    Thanks

You would have to look in the trunk and see if there is a subwoofer mounted on the underside of the deck. (Like in my video). I'm not familiar with your model. You might look at Crutchfield's website for more details (car audio).

What was the cause for a new amp and speaker? I lost all sound on mine. Tried a new head unit out of a junk yard care, no success. Now all i can think is the amp is fried.

Where were you able to tap in for the speaker wires the spot where your sub is on the ceiling of the trunk is just a piece of plastic for me

Can you directly connect factory speaker wires. Do I need line out converter

    • @voodoovinny7125
      @voodoovinny7125 Год назад

@@joeyevans4352if you are tapping into the factory sytem with an amp, yes, you will need a LOC connected to one/two lines between your amp and one of your speakers. In the video, he tapped in the line going between his amp and his subwoofer to supply feed to his amp.

You do NOT need an LOC If you tap into the factory sub for your LOW/RCA signal . You only need an LOC if you're tapping into a door speaker because that is a High level signal and the point of a LOC Is to Convert the signal level to LOW/Sub signal.

Where did you ground the amp?

    • @elvrolet

I believe I drilled a new hole in the trunk under the carpet, cleaned off the paint and screwd it down with a self tapping screw. It's been a while and I've done so many other projects I can't fully remember. I may have found a good ground on something else and attached it to that bolt. Sorry I can't recall fully.

Same car, I removed the back seat which is easy, then took the paint off under an M8 bolt to the chassis and used that. Not even a foot long, and I power 2 amps and a W7
