      Dont be a hater cuz he found a better price. I ordered the complete wiring kit with grommets connectors nice speaker wire and a kicker LOC all for the lovely Amazon price of 16.90 + 32.98 and it was on my porch in 3 hours.Shoulve seen my husbands face when he woke up from baseball nap i mean watching the game and I had his sub system installed for 50 bux when he was pouting cuz we dont have an extra 500 like he was quoted for install. For orginal response good shopping my friend. For new to online shopper: finding awesome prices on Prime does not equate to cheap shit 100% of time. It's an art practice it and your wallet will thank you. I save tons and only have hassle of returning cheap shit about 10% of the time. After 2 years i have failed to be denied a refund

    To clear up the remote wire wonders.. this works just like the amp. It gets CONSTANT power from the same constant power the AMP gets. When the radio plays music, the LOC detects that sound input and makes a SIGNAL output for your amp to know when to turn on. The amp only turns on when the rear speakers have power.
    The only parasitic draw there will be, is from the LOC itself which is comparable to a few LED diodes, not an issue unless the vehicle is parked for weeks and weeks. Great video!!

      I don’t think so because if you have a power cord to your amp going to the bsttery than it shuts off when you turn your car off. You don’t even need to use the remote ground or yellow power wire from the converter. It’s not really needed. I’ve seen many people not use em

      No, the amp only turns on when a signal is sent through the rear speakers (only when radio is on and playing music) the LOC itself may have a small draw tho. It should only be using energy, when there's music coming from the speakers.. so it's shouldn't be anything crazy. I'm installing mine in a few hours, time to see if I get dead battery's now like many think will happen 💪

    My wife has a 2020 Kia forte Lxs and she wants to run a sub in the back I have all of the stuff to do it I even ordered a wire harness that plugs directly into the factory radio and from then on it plugs directly into the factory wire harness so you do not have to splice any wires and with it has a line out converter and a remote control blue wire. On eBay it was like $31 and it's basically plug and play for that part of it. The power wire and blue remote wire and RCA has to be ran through your panels and then panels snap back in place The only hard part was trying to find a location to run the power wire through on the firewall but once I figured that out it was all simple. The power wire was the hardest to be honest. Even if it did not include a blue remote wire you can always hook up your blue remote wire to a fuse in the fuse box for accessory or radio itself. I hooked my blue remote wire in my truck to the stereo fuse in the fuse box so when I turn on my truck the amp turns on. Very simple just a little bit time consuming.

Is it too much power for that little device or will it be OK? It’s the stock amp and subwoofer plug in the back of the mega cab behind the seats . Just because it’s easy to access is why I’m asking.

      Already, it’s driving me crazy because I feel like I can not get the amp to function properly. My highs are way to high, and the adjustments on the amp are:
      Punch EQ
      Freq Hz
      Infra-Sonic
      Gain

      Power and ground are 80% never needed for a loc unless you hear engine noises coming from your speakers then you will need to ground the loc to the vehicles chasis not directly to your amp !!! The shorter the ground wire is the better results you will get ,
      Premium or non premium systems should not make a difference on a loc check your wires make sure your amos ground is firmly bolted to the chasis check your loc speaker connection you might have tapped into the tweeters instead of the actual speakers

      The blue wire that you're wiring up from the Amp to the line out convertor is your remote power connection. It can be connected to anything that automatically powers on when you start the car, and off vice versa.

    • @elliotlaw1590
      @elliotlaw1590 3 года назад

      the main loads are on the amps positive and negative wires, which are thicker anyway, the line into the LOC is the same loads as the standard speakers run off, hence why just standard speaker wire is plenty enough, then after your amp or sub depending on what your wiring, is where the higher loads will be, so if you have an amp to a passive subwoofer for example, but then you dont need to worry about the loads so much because the RCA output on the amplifier feeds a signal to the passive sub, and RCA cables which come with your amp or sub will be more than capable of handling the higher loads anyway
