Great placement of the battery as now you just need to stick out your tongue to check the voltage.

Oh my god THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. I love how those laser-cut covers defuse the light so well!

I like the way you make the eye's and also to help your vision without making your eyes being anoyed by the light.

Still my favourite tutorial! I just ordered some LED strip lights for a homemade mocap helmet and I am going to hazard a guess that I would need all three PCBs connected to make white... I am excited to tackle something functional with my 3D printer

Very cool, I have made SL lenses for people but this is great for people who want to light them up! Might have to add 3D print housing to my list.

really nice to see this come together. You might want to try a few concentric circles on the opposite side of the grid, just to obscure the LEDs a smidge more. Also, mask the acrylic off before you do the circles so you can hit it with some model glue if you want, just to add some gunmetal into the cut lines. ALSO ALSO .. you can always add a resistor in the circuit to dim the LEDs a smidge.

Hey Bill, if you hate waiting on hot glue (aka hot snot :D) to cool; try using a smooth metal tool, like the back end of a pair of tweezers.

Great series Bill. Love the final result! I think you should consider releasing Punished Prop tools that make a "poop" sound when you use them ;)

I think you should have made the Velcro into a pouch rather than attaching it directly to the battery so you can switch out the battery easily
