What the ipad has been able to do is nothing short of amazing.. Great find guys!!
@edward3781
use the mic in jack for the laptop and install ASIO drivers for low latency input! It works great!
We use the iRig all the time with the Rock Prodigy app! Works great.
Its amazing what technology can do for people this century!
if you want a good metal sound, put the metal sound on through the amp eefect then the overdrive and some delay. With a real amp I use a double disortion effect when I use an effects pedals.
I purchased the full version but somehow never got happy with the distortion presets where as with Ampkit+ I had no problems. Also Garage Band seems to sound much better. Amplitube somehow sounds so digital, almost like a digital clipping sound. It gets better with changing mikes and boxes but still leaves a shallow taste.
@EliCurrent you can, or just headphones or powered speakers, it does not use the speakers of the ipod/pad or phone.
I wish this technology was out when I started out 20 all I had was a 4 track.
@emoticons48 no problems :) Ye they sound great, he plays it on stage with a line 6 foot board. Plus they look nice! They come in a few models, and colours vary from blue, emerald and black.
Little $30 DI box for a fucking cellphone and everyone's reviewing it like it's a god damn $2,000 rig. It's for fun and being portable, not crazy sound quality. You guys need to lighten up
@SymbolicNickolaus it's got a built in recorder. but if you don't buy the full app, it's like $5 or something like that.
Only good if you plan on playing clean/mild crunch. At some point of gain its just unplayable. Be aware of noise bleed when output is connected before you purchase.
It does not support speakers when guitar is on monitor (volume goes way way down).
Clean guitar + headphones = nice budget recording.
I often use computer speakers so it's just a 1/8" to 1/8" cable. If you are going into a stereo it might be 1/8" to RCA.
i bought the irig with the sole purpose of playing my guitar through my cars audio system. sounds great with after market audio systems, or im sure stock aswell. but to answer your question you can use any speakers you can plug a auxiliary cable into.
@djil8 I never said they were the same. They're just both guitars. Different types of guitars. And I'm quite calm, thanks. :)
Where is the sound coming from? Is it from the ipad or youre using a speaker?
the sound comes from either an amp or headphones, it wont come out of the ipad speakers
Is there any lag ? Non deliberate delay ?
Kurtwell but does it works if u have only an ipad or an iphone and the irig?
i don't understand. where does the audio come from? right from the iPad?! or is there an output to the amp?
use the 1/8" headphone out to your speakers.
@Kiwikoool they're considered two different instruments, you would never give someone a bass and say its a guitar
the graphics really looks nice
Buy Garageband for use with the iRig. It is about $5.00 US Dollars.
Lol dude.. it isn't the tech that makes a sound sound good its the man behind the sound. :) But do appreciate your true comment,, cos i was actually on my way out to get it now,, but i will deffently try it out in the store while I'm there.. Cheers
@MarcioMetalleiro It's called Delay. It's a common effect
Things have come a long way ...since the days of the Zoom 505 efx pedal...
I have got the iRig Guitar Interface for my ipad from zeromartz , only 16.34, Buy one ,you will love it!
@luke10293 it's called the stealthplug.
@djil8 It's a Bass GUITAR, bro.
nice vid! nice groove! nice work!
THX!
i might get this and the only thing i kinda noticed is that there wasnt a whole lot of low end
@arrol01 it will work on all ios devices
I hope they fix the sound of it and pedals in the future
Danke für das tolle Video!
i definatly need to buy myself back an electric guitar
@fishmank27 has to be speakers or headphones
Hi Bro! Is this interface (iRig) supports mono microphone instead of guitar?
Probably. Same principle.
Yes, but you probably need a pre amp with 48V phantom power if it is a condenser mic.
@emoticons48 i reckon its a Paul Reed Smith. My dad has one, colour and fret board look the same. Great guitars these r!
Great review! What about bass?
@Kiwikoool you hand someone a bass what do you say "here is a guitar" or "here is a bass"
Will it work on PC laptop??
i have the same question.
Pc is much slower... unless you play with the buffer processing
Looks awesome
PRS FTW!
Ye it is
@alidan Neither, because they'd know which it was.
@emoticons48 no problems :)
GOD Bless You 🎸🎸🎸
2020
@EllStock im pretty sure hes playing through the speakers
I still like having the actual pedals to stomp when i wanna change sound :)
@MarcioMetalleiro I know. It was ironic. I've had the same problem before with other programs
Question. Since you are using the Ipad as an amp, does the sound come from the Ipad, cause that wouldn't be very loud. Or does the sound come from something else
is it connected to an amp?? how do you conect it??
Is it possible to record? and looping?
Thanks for review!
Hey anything out there for acoustic? For someone that plays chords!!! And rhythm
And I'm so exhausted now I don't know what's what. My neck hurts fr starring down at the phones little screen stiff , why do you all have to make it look good, interesting but mo one can explain it in less than a month!!!I wish apps and software makers would spend more money on translations!!! That make sense! I hate buyers remorse and buying a product that doesn't come with all the info to make it work! I want. A
I'm gonna get one
@Ilmreviews
Great review. But I have a question. I recently got a yamaha slg130nw(silent guitar) and would like to know if I need the Irig or can I just run an auxiliary cable from my guitar to my iPod? Ps: I can use standard headphones straight from my guitar. An awesome built in feature.
Nice
Do u need to put on ear or headphones so u could hear the sound, or does it come out of the ipad speakers? And can you use irig on guitarband for the ipad?
Too bad the metal preset sucked but u guys r awesome tnks
You can get detailed instruction in the vid titled "AmpliTube iRig Hardware Guided Tour Video - Plug your guitar into your iPhone and rock" for various connection configurations.
@nejimaso.... thanks buddy I got it worked now :)
i would run that through my amp and actually record from it from my real amp lol :D thats really cool doe!!
Will it also work for keyboard/piano as well?
Much appreciate your help...
Guitar and Bass
Will this play just through the speakers of the iPad or iPhone? Or do you have to connect it to headphones or a speaker?
Hey man, is that the speaker sound or are they headphones?
Can you please tell me what external speakers you are using and how to connect ?
@Jabirupilot1 ok, thanks because my friend had asked me about this kind of guitar
Which is better ,the iRig or the apogee jam...?
1:06 reminds me of the sims?
Just so's I got this straight; the iRig is plugged into the headphone OUT? How does that work?
Which is better to have for this set-up iPad or iPhone?
i kinda want one. time to save up.
Can you connect the iRig with an amp other than the iPod amp itself? More specificaly, can you use the phones slot to connect with an external amp?
Does this plug into the amp? No one ever seems to answer this question
Thanks for demo,i have pc version,to connect the guitar to pc does it need stealth cable made by ik multimedia or can i send it direct through mic input.of the pc?
can i use a normal 1/4 to 1/8 adapter instead? can i just use the built-in speakers on the ipad?
i have a question.. do you need a real amplifire for the final output that you connect to the earphone jack, or do the iPad speakers provide the sound?
Can I use a splitter out from the headphone output so that I can run to two monitors?
@dayslypper yes i completely agree it is uncomfortable to listen to!
where's output going to?
can you connect it to guitar amp instead to active speaker?
@haxter3 - Hi. I had the same problem. I found that it works, when you turn off/on your iPhone. I didn´t believe but it works for me.. ;). Try it.. ;). Sorry for my lame English.. :D
are you self taught?
To my ears, it sounds awesome!
Do u have to buy the $20 app as well as the $40 object.
if that is you playing guitar then you are exellent
Does all iPads and iPhones come with these amps and effects?
yep
i just purchased the irig for my iphone, and every time i plug it in (im doing everything correctly) no sound comes from the headphones. i can hear all the demo's and stuff, but i cannot hear my own guitar.
can someone please help me with this, i was all excited on this thing and now im kinda bummed, spent like an hr and a half unpluging it and replugging it.
That's exactly the same question I have: how do you set it up? Does it connect via the headphone jack? If so, how do I monitor the sound of the amp?
dude... does it still have a difference in different guitars? cause its still a digital effect so... its a fixed program
im just wondering...
@Ilmreviewers
Dude awesome app. But I have a question. I recently got a yamaha slg130nw( silent guitar) and would like to know if I need the Irig or can I run an auxiliary cable from the headphone jack on my guitar to my iPod? Ps: I can use standard headphones strait from my guitar if you didn't already know that.
First thing you played sounded like big country
you play the guitar good
do the iRigs work on the macbook pro? sorry i'm kinda new to all this.
you can use GarageBand...
If I am running the iRig into an ipad, how would I hook up monitors in that setup instead of a headphone.
Do you have to upload things through wi-fi???
YES
can u connect this to the amplifier? so that everyone can hear or only in headset? ty
My view on ipad looks a lot different than this. Stomp boxes do not show more than one at a time, and I cannot figure out how to get it on landscape view either?
@ThePinkCamal have you turned the monitor to "ON"?
