- The most interesting thing to me, is the fact that my barracks is large enough to afford me the ability to fodder 5* units or consider some units useful or not, being a f2p player. This revelation was the driving force behind the video and one more way in squeezing extra enjoyment out of Feh by making interesting builds and teams
I was using DU Recorder to record footage and commentary because it had the least ambient background noise and also didn't magically make me sound like a robot talking through a soda can.

My personal tips for team building:
1. Have a Rein/Blyn counter (can be a raven tome user, a bulky green unit like sheena, or even a LA Lyn, which I use).
2. Have a dragon killer (Alm, Marth, Lucina, Chrom, Masked Marth).
3. Have a DC user, one that can bait out some units safely, someone like an Ike or Hardin.
4. Have a sweeper unit, this unit can be a unit that can kill, and get out of there. These can include Ayra, FH celica, or raven.
5. If you can, use higher merged units, These overall just increase your arena score and can lead to more orbs if you are a higher tier.

So...Hector is your Rein counter, FH celica the sweeper, azira for dancing, and michaiah for armors and Blyn?
Emrakul TPE Actually, Micaiah is my BLyn and Rein counter. Hector is to counter lances like Hardin and Azura is also for Guidance 3.
Rein/BLyn counter: Julia (you heard that right)
Dragon killer: Julia
DC user: DC is for babies, real men use Berkut instead of Camus

That's just team synergy. I was initially hesitant to make the video, because I could recommend things but it's down to the person to execute. Everyone has their own preferences and playstyles. If you use a legendary hero, give everyone on the team the relevant blessing.
awesome vid, made me sub. fantastic tips! Getting rid of bench-warmers especially (with thought of course) was a huge help and really helped me refine a lot of the units I do use
My team comp is currently Zephiel (waiting for his rerun), Valter, F!Robin and Clarisse (yes, a GHB team in a sense).
Zephiel is my main tank against greens and most reds in general. Having Distant Counter along his refined Eckesachs and Close Def seal means that he almost never receives much damage. He can even tank against things like Nowi very well.
Valter is a dual tank/sweeper, he can take hits and do good damage in return. He also has Galeforce, so he can have an extra move every once in a while. His seal changes between Guidance and Heavy Blade.
F!Robin serves as my Rein/B!Lyn counter and can even take care of Nowi. I used to have her with the RavenAdept combo, but I recently found more useful having Fury+Vantage with the Keen Gronnwolf so once she gets down by an attack of them, I can snipe the other.
And finally Clarisse, which helps against Fliers, some Swords, since she has SwordBreaker and as a Rally bot with Def/Res buff. She also plays as a ranged mix, having Distant Defense for baiting and Swift Sparrow for attacking.
I tend to change one of them every arena season since I need to use the bonus unit, but when the team enters complete I do have a very effective play overall.
I really love this team idea and synergy. For whatever reason, a lot of the GHB units are my favorites. I really love investing in them and using them when I can. The fact that you found 4 that work well together just really warms my heart, for some reason.👍
Yeah, it has been a little project that has come pretty nicely if I say so myself.
And to think it all started because I wanted to build Zephiel (as of right now, he has the Summoner Support), and then decided to build the GHB units that could help with what I lacked at the moment.
My Clarisse has Firesweep bow. Was thinking about 5 starring another to give to Summer Gaius

One of my most used team:
Tanky (shielded bow) Summer Tiki with vantage bonfire combo w/ weapon , Distant Counter Camilla with weapon refine buff qr3 for mages , ny azura buff dancer , and spring kagero sweeper . debuffer with boost from camilla and flier formation
For my +Res,-Def Grima I decided to give him Atk/Def Bond to kinda patch him up a bit while drawing on his team for backup. I gotta say these strats are too good. May your summons be blessed Strategist!
Distant or close def seal pushes it further too lol
I use Alm (mixed phase) Nephenee (kinda mixed phase) Azura (support) and Takumi or Bride Cordelia (Player Phase) is that good? I'll sometimes use an armor for Enemy Phase.
I’ve been working on this team since the first summer banner. All five stars, + 10:
Eirika (+atk -hp): Sieglinde (eff) + swap + Aether + DC + Chill Res + Fortify Res + Fortify Def
Robin (+spd -hp): Blarowl (Res) + Reposition + Blue Flame + Atk/Spd Bond + Chill Spd + Infantry Flash + Atk/Spd Bond
Catria (+Res -Hp): Whitewing Lance (Def) + Reposition + Bonfire + Fury + Mystic Boost + Joint Hone speed + Close Defense
Nino (+Spd -Def): Gronnblade + draw back + Draconic Aura + Brazen Atk/Spd + Desperation + Drive Spd + Brazen Atk Res
If you equipped Robin's new tome.and swapped one of the units, you could have eirika be really powerful and open up every one's c skills and sacred seal slots
Oh, I have Brave Lucina and Fjorm support ranked S on the same team. I also have Fallen Celica and wed Lyn on the team. I have no green unit. Is that really bad?

even though i already knew this, you said a lot of valid points. Amazing video. Like you said, having units that counter the meta really helps. Bringing characters with really high res like micaiah, julia, deirdre, sonya and many more really help taking out reinhardts and most armored units if not all. Or you can be like me and bring double distant def 3 rhajat and tank a lyn lol and watch her enter vantage range and wreck almost any cavalier. Bringing falchion users if you can also helps since ive seen alot of dragon units in earlier arenas even.

Joshua is incredibly useful in my barracks. I gave him distant counter from an extra hector and he sweeps mages with his high res iceberg + def ploy from Arvis.
What's his B ability and Sacred seal?
He can be useful but I don't have that sort of thing to invest

Thanks for the video. Now I’m going to build a tactic skill team. Thanks to the free Ike I have def and attack from Lilina, I need to 5 star L’arachel and I got res too. I’m gonna use these skill to buff my wall Hardin and maybe give Lilina a blade tome. I’m not sure I want to keep L’arachel and I need a fourth but I feel like that’s a good start

Funny you mentioning foddering a bad IV Ayra. I foddered a -Atk one a couple days to my Soleil merge project. After watching her ORKO a +7 Steady Breath Nowi, I have no regrets.

from my experience, i focus more on getting as many 5*s as possible for AA and all of the PvE content and not merges for T20 Arena. you still get 4 orbs for floating in T18~20, but you don't get 3000 feathers and get 2k instead (T19). so if anyone wants to enter and stay in T20, you gotta get at the minimum 2 +10 units (4* or 5*) and always have a bonus hero ready to stay in there. and fighting against the whales is not worth my time lmao.
there's lots of armor and dragon emblems tearing up the arena since they have high BST, but B!Lyn and Reinhardt are threats too. your arena team should primarily be focused on countering B!Lyn and Reinhardt, while having counters against dragons at the same time. a Fae with bowbreaker + TA3 can be a budget choice to counter them and Nowi all at once! i don't think many players have Julias/Deirdres since they can counter these units too; not as easily against B!Lyn but its possible.
i personally gave my Julia (summon support) distant defense 6, QR3, and Normal Naga for +14 in def/res. its not 100% B!Lyn proof with no bowbreaker, and moonbows can be troublesome because of the cooldown. other than that, She can duel against many mages and won't die lmao (48 res is no laughing matter ).
Micaiah can do the same thing, but will have an edge against Armors instead of Dragons. tho armors is easy to deal with already...
armor emblem is very easy to deal with even with armor boots. a simple L!Ike with QR is enough to counter greens and BK/Zelgius. everyone should have him since he's a freebie.
also, unless you know what you're doing:
1) do NOT sack off your 5*s if you don't have another copy of that unit of the same rarity.
2) DO NOT SACK OFF ALL OF YOUR YOUR GHB UNITS!! reruns is an occurance and you preferably want them 4*/5* lvl 40 to do the GHB quests and not waste time retraining.
3) plz gather up useful fodder units (Hinata, Abel, Tailtiu, etc.), do not send them home. if space is tight, fodder "wisely", as much as you can. and i mean don't give an Effie threaten res lmao. go to Google play store and get a FEH builder app to plan builds ahead of time.
4) invest in 1 healer (4* is fine, with rehab or recover+ ) & Olivia (all of your dancers must have WoM). farming SP on the special training maps is very viable and i just auto battle with the unit(s) im training with healers (since they have WoM equipped).
another tip, to maximize the number of orbs earned per month via monthly quests: try to scrape up 4 armors, fliers, & calvaries. Calvary is the easiest since you get: Xander, Ursula and Cecelia for free; you only just need 1 more!
for armors, i personally used: Sheena, Gwen, Effie, and BK for my armor quests since they're all accessible (since launch, they're a big help to me, used Draug at the time) and you can power them up over time. if you don't own a BK, don't have no other armor (ima hope you got Eliwood at least), and don't want the BK pack, invest in Zephiel (his rerun is soon as well). for easy questing, give them all warding armor and swap lul.
fliers is honestly the hardest team to build, but we do have Narcian and Michalis as fliers... least we also have subaki too lul (i never used him, didn't need to). Palla, Caeda, Est, Cherche & Catria are all the easiest units to obtain, and Caeda is viable now. if i never pulled Minerva (i had to wait for a VG banner to pull her), i would have 5* Michalis so fast!
after horse emblem, i invested in fliers 2nd. it wasn't perfect for months but it got the job quests done. i invested further in armors last when i obtained BK. before the map reset button, i had to do "Starting Stratum" to reset the 10th Stratum to units my armors can deal with.

I actually pair mrobin and masked marth lol. Throw in and enemy phase blue unit and someone else and you're golden

Effie, nowi, corrin, Lukas. That's 4 off the top of my head.
Yeah so far my team that I use is legendary ike, female Corrin, axura and a mage like tharja or robin.
Also my problem is I dont have the orbs and I almost never get good fodder. I get raighs and Nino. Also get wrys and other bad healers so I cant build the units I want with the skills they need. Also feathers.....I just dont have enough feathers.
Trust me, even whales who spend a thousand dollars don't have enough feathers, unless they are only using 5* exclusive character all the time. We all have to patiently hoard them.

Azure_Paladin wrys can be useful for some healers with his live to serve
For Arena Assault i build a lot of hard counters. For example any crapy sword pitty breaker or Alfonse can instantly become mvps with Triangle adept 2 and Axe breaker 1. Rip all Hectors, xmas Chrom, Amelia etc who are all very common and otherwise difficult to one round ko. Same goes for lance and swords, dont try to make units do much beside kill advantage targets. Breaker skills cancel out weary fighter combined with triangle adept 2 from Cordelia or Selina ( also gives you reposition at 4*) is a very cheap and highly effective for taking out lots of popular +10s. You can use moonbow for even more one round dmg. Also red mages with G tome breaker are very handy, nino etc is every where. Basically slow units with breaker skills go from zero to hero, i even find them outclassing my top tier generalists!!

I've found myself in the same boat, and only after starting my account back in June. Not a cent spent, over 50 5 stars summoned, probably 60, but I've been heavily investing in my main units lately:
+4 Nephenee with Berkut's Lance, DC, and Atk Smoke. That's 20K feathers, Hector, and Brave Lyn (albeit I did have extras of them)
And now my Dorcas has one merge, Warding Breath, and Aether.
However, my F2P virginity goes down the toilet if I can't pull Summer Corrin tomorrow. I've ached for her far too long, and I darn well am getting her.

My arena team I've been using is Mia, Nino, Nowi, and whatever bonus unit is( usually one of the askr trio)

I'm having the hardest time deciding what to do with my +Def/-Atk Grima. Not only can I not decide on a A slot skill (was thinking about giving him distant defense but that's a skill you don't come across often) for him but he doesn't fit in with my other teams aside from this weeks arena team. Both my dragon and armor emblem teams already have good units on them who work well with each other and trying to add him to either feels like I would have to remove/add completely new skills just so he can work with them. The other problem is him being an armor unit which means if he's not running with another armored unit with armor march then it will be hard to position him. Yeah armored boots seal is a thing now but I also hate how that will limit him to that seal when there are other really good seals to give him.
Sorry I'm rambling at this point but I REALLY want to use him somewhere and its killing me that can't find a place for him in my army. Great informative video btw, definitely gonna use some of these tips when setting up new teams.
Yakool if he's plus defense, then his base kit's already good with his vengeful fighter. If i were you, for his A slot i would suggest steady stance or something, something to make his defense bigger so his ignis is better. Or, if having two weaknesses is troubling, give him Svalin shield from Sheena.
I did give him Svalin shield so he'd have something to fill the slot until I find a better skill. Steady Stance is not a bad idea, though, I'd be reluctant to give up a BK for it (also I don't have Shiro and I'm not about to waste my orbs on any legendary banners).
Why would you give a unit Distant Counter that already has DC built into their weapon. That's a complete waste. A cheap option in his A slot could be Earth Boost. He can proc it reliably against most other units and Boey isn't that rare of a unit. Might not be the best option for Tempest Trials, but Def+ 3 works fine too.

I use grima with armored boots and when he does his job I use ike to reposition him or micaiah to heal him

My arena core is 5*+5 Cherche(i only need feathers to give more merges), 5*+4 Reinhardt and 5*+1 Brave roy. And I try to have the bonus unit be a defensive wall (This season its grima) to complement the hyper offense weapon triangle. I'm sitting comfortably at rank 19.5 for a few months now as a F2P.

I think the team I'm most proud of is my armor emblem Henry and Effie work well together cause henry's res can take care of effie's magic weakness and effie is a great red wall and BK and LA! Hector can be the sheild for both of them work well cause BK will take out Hector's red weakness and Hector will take care of BK's blue magic weakness and I'm very proud of all of them still haven't got brave lance fodder for her but I love them

What I don;t understand is the S symbol on your characters, I thought you can only have one character at a time with it? So i never made others to S class. how does it work?
They have ally supports. Supports with other units. You can set them in the tab named ally support where you would find the summoner support.
Go to ally support and click the "?"

Grima is love, Grima is life.(My Lucina lost her life to him) With +atk and -speed he can bait almost every green and blue unit and devoure them. And using Arvis is so satisfiyng for me. He heals, debuffs, and can do finishing blows. I only have Olivia as a dancer... but she is better then no dancer (also giving me the opportunity to heal 20 health with Arvis, if needed).
And then.... Fjorm. She ist good, but I don't like her that much. At the moment she is the bonus Unit in my team. (I'd rather like to use Hardin for more Bst.)

What’s the fastest way to level up units?
Literally? Crystals. Youd be surprised how much you can build up.
Practically? The special training maps in the special maps section. A lot of enemies with low stats.
Is it necessary to have a healer on ur team or is it okay not to have one.
Tbh, it's usually a bad idea to have one lol
If it's a very high quality healer like Loki or brave veronica, then they can easily find a spot on a team
I have been having trouble defeating book three on lunatic and I dont know how to set up a team and I have looked at ur video on how to make a team and I still have no idea how to make a good team with the units I have.

Rising Ursaring well when you play for a long time you will appear to look like a whale. My account looks alike his and it has many merged units
