Bellringing at Hereford Cathedral

- What a ring this cathedral has! They are a complete mixed bag, with some very historic pieces, being the sixth, ninth and tenor. The ringing room is just beneath the bells, and with supporting beams crisscrossing all over, it makes for some very loud clonking noises. However, I was a massive fan of them the minute I heard them, and In my personal opinion, the tenor is one of the finest bells I have ever heard.
Please do not make comments on the striking, a new band is being formed and practices have only just restarted. - Кино
I totally agree with you here. I love Hereford Cathedral - They are such a quirky ring with the strange popping noise of the clappers. Even on the bell you where ringing for example, there is a notch cut in the beam where the rope passes through. The tenor is a very nice bell indeed.
Lovely bells not to bad to ring outside they sound lovely very old ring of 10 bells but still ring we’ll
