Abosolute professional quality video. Love your neat, clean shop area. No chance of that happening by me. Dang! But the job will get done with your helpful contribution. Thanks so much guy.

Thanks for the video! What pistons are those and what piston to cylinder clearance did you have?

I think they’re just this Engine Tech brand piston. Part of the whole kit provided by my machine shop.
I only measured the piston ring gap. The pistons seem perfect. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Just subscribed to your channel.
About to do a rebuild due to a head gasket leak. Will be using your channel as a guide.
Question: why did you pick .50 for the bore and such? what's the benefit of standard?

Hey! Good luck on your rebuild. Hoping to finish mine in the not too distant future. 😉
I honestly didn’t give it much thought for the 0.50 over, it’s just what the machine shop suggested at the time of their inspection. But I do believe that the more you can get out of it the more power you can eek out of this tiny little engine!

Did you have to bore the engine block for the 0.50 pistons?

I had a V6 4runner that was rebuilt and the mechanic forgot the C clips on the wrist pins...the block was toast after a few miles.
