That example of Voice Mod to simulate the wonkiness of older synth calibration is going to make my vintage synth patch making so much easier. I’ve been basically doing the same thing using mod matrix slots. The other stuff is cool too. Thanks for continuing to update this great synth.
The second I saw this new feature was the second my imagination started running wild(er) in terms of possible routings; as much as I love all the other great additions too, for me, this is the one that takes synthesis ever closer to the subtleties and organic elements of acoustic intruments. I don't mean actually emulating them-even if the Hydras can do a good job in that way too- I just mean how we're getting closer and closer to individualisitic expressions of our musical ideas, and being able to translate that into the end result. Once again, thanks for making the Hydras even better than their already vaunted status.
The brilliance of Glen Darcey has been all over this synth since day 1 and continues with this update. Hydrasynth comes straight from his deep knowledge and love of synthesis theory and history.
Did a deep dive into the VoiceMod after toying around with the MiniFreak earlier on. This really makes such an impact to the sound, it's crazy. Good job on extending the usability of this wonderful beast :)
I love yr “jokingly” suggesting that to RTFM is to nullify a tutorial’s necessity…but the breakdowns you lay down are amongst my favorite viewing material by far…and I am grateful for your work. Thank you.
Oh wow, this is clutch! This will make OB-type sounds easier, with envelope speed per voice (Tom Sawyer sweep) and panning L/R per voice customizations.
In college , i often set up an ARP patch and asked the piano folk to see what they could do. With a bit of annoyance they gave up. They could play the heck out of a dx 7 . A turn of a knob and the ARP spoke a tale of open space.... lol
I am going to buy a Deluxe if I am able to sell a workstation. In my opinion hydrasynth is the most rational and scientific device. You plan what to do and get it. As sound design should be. Without many limits
so clearly explained, thanks. I don't own a Hydra and wondering if you can modulate each individual voice with envelopes/lfo? I'm imagining ramping up or down the pitch of each voice :)
I used my original Hydasynth on a couple albums and ended up selling it. Then this firmware came out and I bought the Deluxe model. This time it's not going anywhere.
"Desktop synths can't be as flexible as a modular." Hydrasynth: "Hold my beer."
The Prophet 12 desktop was already doing it for 10 years.
@@hostnik777 Love me some Dave Smith. The Pro 2 , as well, which I love.
This is insane and awesome
oh hi Jeremy!
I love the resources here, ASM has created a classic synth that satisfies my requirements for audio sourcing. Great job ASM and all employees.

Thanks for the new features! The Hydra just keeps getting better and better!

I've dreamed of more ctrl over what the voices can ctrl. Analog feel is nice but this is GREAT 👏👏👏 Thank you!

Damn. This update is full of really, really good stuff. Thank you!

This update was a beautiful gift. Thank you ASM ❤
I like that with the "analog settings" it sounds like some old hits made with analog synths in end of 70's or early 80's.
Amazing update, I'm going to have a lot of fun with this.
Wow! Nice work ASM and Thanks!
Stoked! Thanks for the OS update.
Modulating the pitch of every voice randomly could be a really good way to prank someone and make everything they play wrong 🤣

This is just overpowered
Holy grail ! 👍🏻👍🏻
Informative, but I have to sit with the chord per patch-like feature to see if it meets that feature request easily.
Will there be lag generators, function generators, or mathematical operators in the future?
Nice!
Lovely!
does this product come with a can of Sudden InterDimensional Portal Repellent™️ or is that an upgrade?
True multitimbrality would still be awesome.
I'm sitting here laughing watching this because the Voice Mod + feature effectively turns the hydrasynth into a Super 6
Add a reverse effect
I don't want to read the manual or watch the videos. Somebody else will be delivered to update it for me.
So that's some kind of round robin on steroids?
uuuu uuuuuu
Please don't hate me for this... Ahum. Dust cloth. 🤓 (my Deluxe is the only synth I hardly get to record, because jamming is too much fun!)
