ASM is on the ball!! This is the most no-brainer patch management app I've ever used. My Explorer just connected to the app on my Mac and the patches just showed up. I was clicking and dragging my favorites from the populated factory banks to empty bank H lickity split!!
Awesome update, thanks for the efforts. I think it would be very helpful to have a visual identification for the the left & right panels, like different color shade for the computer browser. This helps to distinguish which is which.
Just got a keyboard version a couple of weeks ago. Mind blowing piece of kit. It’s my first hardware synth and it really feels like using serum in a hardware form. So good!
Many thanks for this very interesting video. I feel Hydrasynth manager is a very good software but would miss a function very convenient and easy to add. When we are on a page of the manager connected to hydrasynth, for example single BANK A, if I select a sound (number 17 for example) I would like to have a button to send a program change to the hydrasynth for it shows the sound number 17 of the single bank A. (the same for multi of course).
IT's such a cool synth. Ive been playing it nonstop since I got it last week, to the detriment of all my other synths :) If I could make one request it would be for better reverbs, as this is still a bit of a weak point, but everything else is awesome!
A search function would be handy for the next update! I'd also love a bit more access to edit each patch's metadata - so I can put my pads etc in the same bank & easily colour code similar sounds and have that reflected on the hardware's nice BIG KNOB.
Hydrasynth analog tip: If you RTFM on your screen as pdf, the pixels still keep you in the digital realm. However, if you manage to print out on paper and then RTFM, you're fully analog. And you can still RTFM, even take notes. Both versions are identical when you RTFM. You can combine them or extend the pdf to your phone for mobile use but remember to RTFM! R.T.F.M. 👍
I didn't hear whether or not you can audition voices by clicking or double clicking on them. Will they automatically load into a slot or buffer on the Hydrasynth? By the way, the Sigabort MIDIsynth editor is a super addition for the Hydrasynth as well as including a full featured librarian.
Hi, just plugged in my brand new Hydrasynth desktop tonight. i keep getting a Runtime Error (at 7:841): SWbemObjectSet: Access denied when I try and run the Hydrasynth Manager 2.1. I am on windows 10. What is the solution?
2 questions about favourites. 1 when you do a full back up and restore does that do the favorites on my explorer? 2 the actual 32 favourites on the hydrasynth are not a bank. I got excited when I saw create your own favourite bank but it's not the internal special favourite bank in the explorer so im assuming you still can in the software access and modify the actual favourite bank of 32 patches in the explorer? Using the term create your own favourite bank I think was not exactly a good use of terms as it created confusion. Thanks appreciate your time n hard work.. 👍🏼😊
Thanks but I simply do not understand. I downloaded a pack. imported it and nothing happens. Go to selector (arrow) chose that specific patch. Nothing happens. Do I, seriously, have to move all the 250 patches one by one by one by one by hand to the other window just to be able to play them?
there is no such thing as a truly empty slot. the equivalent would be simply double pressing INIT and then saving that patch. (the name would remain so you would rename it). OR simply copy a INIT patch (with its INIT name and all) and save it to where you would like a "deleted" patch. as it would be the same thing.
Is the 2.1 update I take it necessary for transferring patches that use the new 2.0 features? I watched the patch manager 2.1 video and while a great standalone video to show how to use and some great tips and tricks didn’t really notice any new features? Just guessing the new version may have some reason. Is it to support the new firmware and that’s pretty much it?
@@AshunSoundMachines ah okay. thought the 2.0 patches inside the hydrasynth manager (no in memory of my HS) already has the new features because of that naming
Please allow us to import our own wavetable and waveshape. At least, give us the possibilities to scan between 2 shapes fully. But seriously, I like your synth, but your wavetable/waveshapes sucks.
Hello! I jsut restored my Hydrasynth. At the end in the bottom line I saw a message "Retry 1/3", but it seems thatt everything was flashed correctly. What it was?
I am SO Glad that I bought the Deluxe - it's not just a tool, it's a joyful adventure.

"Warning triangle means warning". Lol, thanks Glen, I was so confused!
Everything is really well laid-out and clear. Thanks for another helpful update and guides.

Thank you for this! I just got mine and am excited to dive in!
This is my dreamed synth. I have a lot of synth, but Hidrasyth in my favorite (With my Yamaha VL1) .
Is addictive !!
All video tutorials are very helpful thank you. the image is a little blurry but thank you for making it.
Informative and I like the transition visuals
Really useful tool - should be a standard issue with all synths.

Excellent video, thanks! BTW, Is there a patch parameter print (or list in text) option in the works?
@16:20 when can I see that show? Also, I'd love to have that Big Chungus patch! Thanks for another super informative vid Glen!

no, as shown in the video you can select multiple patches to drag and drop (or an entire bank) . for further support please email our support team.
One issue he did not mention. You cannot delete or cut patches from the Hydrasynth directly. This has to be done on the computer then imported.

Where are the 2.0 single factory banks? on the websites there are only 1.5 legacy banks
2.0 banks are already included in the manager when you download it
I cant seem to find the manual for the manager v2.1 and im not even sure how I got the download. Tried to find it again and no dice weird
patch manager guide is included in the Firmware download (the guide is inside the manager folder)
Will there be a user waveform editor with additive synthesis?
no
@@glendarceyaudio Thanks. I just feel that there is a higher harsh to smooth waveform ratio. More sine, triangle or bell variations would be nice
When are custom wave tables coming?
Every wavetable you create in Hydrasynth is custom with over 10 billion custom combinations possible.
I am trying to update my Hydrasynth to 2.0.... I have Ubuntu Linux. Where can I find software that is compatible?
how How can I delete patches, it tells me a message that it cannot be done because the syth does not support it
so the 2.0 patches are completely adjusted with 2.0 features?
Your patches are not modified at all. You can modify the patches with the 2.0 features but nothing done to your patches to adjust them.
@@AshunSoundMachines ah okay. thought the 2.0 patches inside the hydrasynth manager (no in memory of my HS) already has the new features because of that naming
Anyone out there in cyber land that could help me load some 3rd party patches.

you can absolutely scan between two shapes fully. with the wavemorphing you can create over 10 billion wavetables with Hydrasynth...
