I do appreciate that he learned from his mistakes with the golden form and made absolutely sure that he wasn't just strong enough to beat them but strong enough to curb stomp them easily, and that his power had no downsides like the power drain his golden form originally had.

During the goku black arc, vegeta was almost killed by goku black and trunks gave him a senzu bean to see if he'll get stronger from being on the verge of death and then he charged ssj goku black while in ssj blue again but the result still remained the same and goku black beat vegeta in the manga

Frieza showing up at the end of the last saga was so unexpected and it got me so hyped for what Dragon Ball Super has in store for us.
So crazy that this series has been going on since ‘89 and it’s still giving us incredible moments.

Dafuq you talking about, Frieza was a character who never needed to train a day in his life. In just 6 months he got to the level of gods with gold. He’s set up to be one of the only characters with potential like Broly. Him training 10 years straight is equivalent to Goku and Gohan abusing the time chamber to squeeze a years training into a day. You can pick and choose when you’re upset but it’s not like all these power ups and forms are new. DBZ criminally did it, except they just stuck to blonde every time. I’ll agree it’s lame asf that they color code instead of making cool ideas like SSJ4 was. I understand what you mean with the Krillin analogy but it makes no sense, unless you were referring to Granolah and Gas; even though you replied to a comment talking about Frieza…
@@xshadowzone Not sure if you understood the point of the analogy. The point is this is a fictional world. You can invent any internally consistent explanation to make any set of events happen. But the reason why super saiyan and super saiyan 2 are so memorable is because there is dramatic weight to those transformations. They are narratively significant. If you look online you will see lots of people complaining about super saiyan blue and golden Freeza or black Freeza, but you won't see people complain about super saiyan god and you will see TONS of people complain about Goten and Trunks achieving super saiyan as 8 year olds with no good reason, Guru's hidden potential boost, and Goku's power up through the mystic water in the original Dragon Ball.
The key is NARRATIVE SIGNIFICANCE, not logical consistency.
The OP is not complaining how people can gain powerups without in story explanations, he is complaining that powerups, narratively are no longer a big deal like they used to be.

But it shows that deep down he actually loves everyone from earth and has found his new home. Hes top 3 best rivals in all of shonen. Up there with Sasuke. Frieza was 120x stronger than Ginyu a warrior feared across the universe.
And that was his base without training.
Yup, you see that level of power difference.
And to further empathize the power level difference.
Raditz a fodder with his power level of around 1,500 was considered an elite warrior by the standards of Dragon ball universe.
Ginyu is around 100x stronger than a elite warrior, and Frieza is 120x stronger than one of the best warriors in the universe.

Frieza has always been one of my favorites even more over the years. Hes a beast!

Whis even theorised that Frieza could betray Universe 7 to be granted a wish that he is more powerful than Zeno, which causes Beerus to shit bricks, but sure “stupid theory”. I never said he would succeed only that he would probably attempt a coup and in process all of the mortals progress tremendously and get squashed by the top destroyers, angels and maybe the grand priest.

When Freiza was talking to Universe 9 G.O.D. Sidra Beerus interupted the conversation and there U could see the difference in power and Frieza's anger. But now the power gap between him and Beerus doesnt seem so huge. But Freiza wont because he is smart. I like this because now Goku and Vegeta will hear about Freiza space crimes and have to go and correspond bringing adventure and excitement to future DBS.

I feel Vegeta would be the perfect candidate but he can't be anymore because now he has a family and even though he tries to deny it, he has now developed strong attachments. I think Goku rubbed off on him in a way. He knows they have limitless potential and they have certain tricks (Gogeta). As long as they get stronger, he gets stronger to keep up or surpass them.
Hell, he hinted at this as much in the Res. F movie where he was glad Goku was strong enough to beat Majin Buu. It meant he had to train and get stronger.

Seems like Frieza is less preoccupied with destroying them these days, and more concerned with dominating them. He's changed in the sense that he thinks of himself now as a warrior god rather than a delegating ruler.
I think Frieza might be too weak currently to hold his black form for a long period of time, that's why he quit so quickly. Maybe it's similar to Gokus SSJ3 form 🤔🤔

that's what I originally thought when the chapter dropped. He pops into Black to kill Gas, then drops to base. He pops Black to show off, then goes back to base. Goku and Vegeta power up, then he turns Black, knocks the wind out of both of them, smiles, drops to base, and leaves without his usual mockery and arrogance. Initially I thought that meant he could only stay in Black for a few minutes or seconds at a time, and left quickly so it wouldn't turn into a full-on brawl, he just wanted to mind-fuck them a bit.
But as others have said, he spent a DECADE in there. Even if he didn't unlock Black for 5 years, that's still 5 more to master the form or at least eliminate stamina drain.

@@supamilkchanbitches3730 I don't like everything that the Super anime or manga does either but claiming that all of Super is "fan made Dragon Ball" is a bit of a stretch. Toriyama still writes the story outline, the Super writers just fill in the gaps a little differently for each version.
As for retconning stuff, Toriyama has always done that throughout Dragon Ball, so that's really nothing new. Hell Goku being from space was a massive retcon that wasn't planned for from the beginning. Toriyama plans for almost nothing ahead of time since he's a "discovery writer" so it's in his nature to retcon things as he moves forward. He's also famously forgetful too, and it's not like he's getting any younger so it's probably for the best that he doesn't write Super by himself honestly.
Super is messy for sure but it's not even close to the old non-canon DBZ movies, GT and Heroes. If anything qualifies as "fan made" Dragon Ball it's those.
Frieza is using the boys as metrics/lab-rats for his training at this point, lol.

You are right ever since the tournament frieza have seen what other universes are capable of and how much stronger they are. He even meet someone who was basically his clone. On top of that seeing a seat of power far beyond his own and that woulde be the zeno, but people tend to forget Frieza is in no favor to Beerus either so I believe he will target the purple cat first.
I used to think "Frieza would never go after Beerus. He'd be wiped out by the Zenos if he beat him" but then I remembered Zamasu basically killed every god of destruction and supreme kai and Zeno didn't even notice so...

@@mikebar42 very unlikely. Because Vegitto / Gogitta is a whole different person / entity to Goku and Vegeta. Meaning that he's not as empty-headed asking Goku to use MUI (maybe TUI) and neither is he as proudly temperamental as Vegeta to use UE (who knows if Vegeta comes up with a form similar to TUI).
Point being that as forms, it's not likely, also there's the fact that said forms are opposite to each other, so he'd be switching it on and off. If those are used as techniques however, were the fusion dodges the more dangerous hits and takes the average ones for fuel, the battle would become one of attrition.
TL;DR - I don't think so outside of fan-fics.
