The fact is that Giyuu managed to fight in a 1v1 battle against one of the three most powerful demons on his full power for the longest time in infinity castle and even that, he was able to fight against Muzan with a broken sword for a long time as well, and even with that, he fought against Demon King Tanjiro.
His defence, stamina and determination are amazing!!!

Akaza, gyutaro and daki have the best back story compared to other upper moons, they were treated wrong and just wanted to take revenge, akaza never thought of becoming a demon he was forced by muzan.
I have a question why was he so slow of regenerating his head!? He regenerated his arm under 2 seconds
@@rayswggy Once the head is cut off it's supposed to kill a demon so since it's the only fatal wound a demon can suffer(other then poison) it takes much longer to regenerate

Some of his moves are fireworks themed since she wanted him to see the fireworks when they were together and before she died.

Akaza is the ONLY demon to just throw you hands and I love it.
The fact that Hakuji 1v67’d against people that had swords, won, and walked out with minimal injuries (could still walk easily after) is crazy, goes to show how good of a fighter he was especially as a demon

Fact: After their fight , Akaza managed to survive even after his head was chopped off. He discovered a way ( just like Muzan ) to not get defeated by cutting off head but he accepted his defeat becoz of his ethics
He basically had the potential to become another Muzan eventually but choose not to plus the fact that he also limited his diet so he arguably wasnt at his true best. He was just maxed out at the limit HE PUT ON HIMSELF which is crazy

I loved demon slayer. It doesn’t show the characters as purely bad or demons as purely bad. Sometimes humans are forced to become demons because the world won’t allow them to be normal. Akaza’s story was so sad.
Then there are those like Doma and Muzon who are just straight up evil.
@@mesiagamer5217 then there are those who are mentally unstable like Gyokko (had an obsession for toying with corpses starting from fish to a dead child) and Hantengu (had a victim complex and always saw himself as a good person despite the numerous heinous crimes he committed)
It seems like Muzan knows how to the collect the best demons for his forces. From ones with the most traumatic experiences to the ones that are straight up evil and twisted

Keep in mind akaza severely limited himself as a demon. He never ate women or children and managed to climb to upper three and had he not been struck down by the talk no jutsu he would of mopped the floor with giyu and tanjiro.

Man, the tragic backstory of Akaza was really painful enough to hit you hard from your heart to soul. Even it's only just a glimpse of the future arc of the anime, it literally explained my wondering why Akaza met the highest praising from the Demon Slayer anime fans.

Akazas backstory is probably one of the best in my opinion unlike douma who was just a phsyopath till he became a demon it's more of like daki and guitars backstory mixed with ruis backstory

What are you talking about, Akaza is boring. And you try comparing it to the significance of Douma's backstory. Douma's backstory fit's in with multiple characters of the story and the fact that he's different from the rest makes him the most interesting, plus his blood demon art. He better than Akaza in every way

From the first demon flashback up to this point, all depicted the horror of some humans creating the demons they fear. Who is to blame? No one. At the same time everyone. This is not something that can be blamed on one person only, everyone has their own parts. But it's not too late to reconcile, as shown by the demons defeated by Tanjiro, they had willfully accepted their wrongs, sorry for what they have done under the influence of malice.
To the author of Demon Slayer, you have our deepest gratitude for this masterpiece, for reminding us of these things that make humanity beautiful, despite being undeserved, still striving to reach our ideals.

The ideals of getting stronger by both Kyojuro and Hakuji are just some of twisted and contrasting settings that I love so much seeing within these two characters. The flame; the snow - Hakuji and Kyojuro gave their lives protecting, but the same situation as Gyuutaro to Tanjiro in failing.. Kyojuro was successfully able to protect the people he protects, while Hakuji simply fades to becoming the demon of whom he would protect [weakness]. He hated the weak, because the quality of th(at/ose) "weakling", led them to poisoning the water instead. Killing his salvation to a new beggining what his father wished his life to be.
Might be too long for a comment, but I consider this as a tribute and farewell to the valiant, strong people. They are not just fighters, they are simply human.

And he went to the rival's dojo and begn a killing spree. too bad his martial art prowess (including ability to turn a man into a doughnut) attracted Muzan's attention because ability to kill so many swordsmen with bare fists is so illogical, folks wouldn't believe that a mere human can do that and would believe that any supernatural beings (including Muzan's demons, and even Muzan himself) did.
This situation should have attracted DSC as well.
Keep in mind that Akaza Chose to die. Had he not, both Tanjuro and Gyiu would of died and the demon slayers would of lost. Shows how much of a power difference there is in-between them. Same with Sanemi/Gyomei vs Upper rank 1.

People sleep on Akaza and think Sanemi or Gyomei can solo him lol. They must've forgotten that he murdered 67 trained swordsmen as a HUMAN (and the fact that the author said no Hashira can solo UM 3-1).

Gyomei was fighting kokushibo on equal terms. Gyomei claps akaza. Sanemi on the other hand would lose to akaza

I honestly think that out of all the fights in the entire manga this is my absolute favorite. It was just so well written and drawn and I got back from time to time to read it again and again. Just so good!

Yeah this is the best written fight and Doma’s one is the most emotional one and Kokushibo’s fight was the best one.
This was a fight of true skill, ferocity and tenacity! This assault on Akaza was legendary!
Even though akaza was a demon he still kept some special memories from his human life display when he used his demon art his compass became a snowflake just like the name and hairpin his fiancée was wearing.

My favorite fight in the series it’s due to Tanjiro and rengoku being my two fav characters in the series and akazas backstory

Man, i love giyu.... My favourite hashira. Even tho he was about to fall , he still protected tanjro and i dont think so he did bad! Giyu is one of the strongest slayer 💗💪. In muzan fight also he concentrated on fight plus saving kambaboko squad and other slayer. He even lost his arm in this process.
Giyu is strong man. Ofc he is in top2 or 3 💗💗
He’s not top 2 or 3 but i’d day the 4th strongest Hashira For sure (maybe on par with Muichiro) he was able to deal great damage to Akaza.
Akaza himself told him that he was amazed by how long the fight went on, meaning that Giyuu was the most difficult Hashira to kill since he became Upper Moon.
Giyuu was Able to deal damadge with a Broken Sword, the same he used for the first quarter of the fight against Muzan. Tanjiro and Giyuu were the first ones to face Muzan.
Giyuu was the longest standing Hashira in the fight against Muzan.
Even after Muzan died, Giyuu was the Only Hashira that was able to continue fighting Demon King Tanjirou.
Man he has that stamina, an elegant swordsmanship and a very flexible breathing style.
No wonder he’s this resilient and the Water Hashira.

Long time has passed since i had a similar debate.
1) Gyuu vs Akaza is totally different than Rengoku vs Akaza.
=>We know that bc there are many instances where Akaza gets serious with Gyuu while with Rengoku he is overall laughing in enthusiasm.
Akaza himself in the manga applauds Gyuu for being the one who lasted the longest against him. And praises him again when with a broken sword manages to survive a point blank death compass blow.
The Akaza that fought Gyuu is a Deamon that was reaching perfection, being able to survive with his head cut off, Feat that only 3 demons have shown (Akaza included).
The fact that Akaza was fighting two Hashira level threats is another testament on how, after a few blows he continuously gets Serious.
As you can see in the manga, while Tanjirou is Thinking, and he thinks a lot in that fight, Gyuu is seen sometimes in the back exchanging blows with Akaza with none of the two being able to finish off the other. Akaza has the advantage that his stamina is nearly infinite, compared to Gyuu’s.
After the fight, Gyuu didn’t pass out.
Tanjirou did.
Without passing out he was able to cure himself a bit and then be the first one along with tanjirou to start the fight with Muzan.
He was able to save tanjirou when he got injured by Muzan and deflect all its blows with a Broken Sword.
Before Sanemi gave him a new sword, Gyuu was the one coordinating the defense functioning as support to other Hashiras blows.
He lost an Arm, and Yet like the others he was the one helping tanjirou to pin Muzan to the wall.
With a Lost Arm he was the only Hashira that fought DKT.
He is stronger than what we give credit for.

Food for thought. If akaza hadn't turned his attack and killed himself, he would've killed giyuu and tanjiro. If they had died, the demon slayers never would've killed muzan. So if you think about it, the demon slayers won because of Akaza. Also, Akaza deserved so much better I just want to give him a hug. He's truly an amazing character who I can relate to. By far the best villan. Although, he wasn't truly evil, just utterly broken 💔.
Honestly the demon slayers won against the Top 3 Upper Moons because
1. Akaza decided to kill himself which means Akaza saved the slayers
2. Shinobu dying was literally the only way kanao and inosuke had rve a small chance at winning otherwise douma would've killed them making the remaining slayers having to fight him.
3. Kokushibo killing himself otherwise Gyomei and sanemi would've died and if they died the slayers would have no chance at defeating muzan

The fight against the upper moon six siblings broke the internet already i Can't imagine what would happen when the fights from akaza to muzan gets animated
Seeing how Akaza easily dealt with them both give me way more respect for Rengouku. He was able to combat Akaza and overpower him physically all on his own

I knew i liked Akaza from the moment i first saw him. You could actually see the desperation in his face when he impaled rengoku. He wanted him to become a demon so bad so he could have a sparring buddy forever 😢 he didnt want him to die at all

I feel like when I watch Akaza, I realized that though he claims he hates the weak, the weak he speaks of is actually he himself who couldn't protect his loved ones. He doesn't realize this, because he doesn't remember his past. He only remembers how he hated the weak _____. The name Hakuji/himself that should've sat in that blank spot is lost when he lost his humanity. His current demon self mistook the entity in that blank spot as those weaker than him, because he has always won his fights as a demon. I love Akaza, because he had always been such a good kid. He may be brash, prideful, but his actions has always been his way of protecting the weak and he does them with gusto and no regret, even at a risk of his own life literally and figuratively. When he lost his way once, the right people came across his life renewing his purpose in life, but when the same thing happened again, he was not as fortunate enough anymore. He believed he lost his right to face the people he loves the most and that he could not see them anymore even in the afterlife since he knows he's tainted. He doesn't know how to be saved, and neither does he wish to be saved either.
Akaza/Hakuji is a pitiful person. He most definitely deserves punishment, but he most assuredly does not deserve to go to hell. ***cry***

Yeah akaza is one of my favorite demons which such a background story as well that with grief and the fact muzan deleted his memories turned him into a demon to the fact he got his memories back thanks to tanjiro just shows how much pure tanjiro is
Also not to mention the fact that all of the other upper moons were asked whether or not they wanted to become demons. Muzan just shoved his hand through Akazas face and he was so broken he couldn't even care anymore

I am glad the video came back. I miss Rengoku but this was such an amazing fight though and seeing Tanjirou leveling up as the fight goes on is just so good and I loved this arc I really cannot wait to see everything animated it is gonna be super hyped!!

I really love evertything about akaza - to think that he didn't really die because of the demon slayers, and he even surpassed himself. he defeated himself
I admire akaza
He was seen as a demon as a human(can relate I grew up in foster care and I fought so much until nobody wanted to adopt me)
And as a demon even after everything he’s done he regained his humanity and found true peace but understood his actions have consequences and accepted that (I’m better and I’m much more at peace and I’m even engaged to a wonderful partner who accepts me and my past)
