A real answer rather than anger fueled retorts. Our prison system is a for profit organization, not one for rehabilitation. By allowing bonds they are able to make money of the person without putting them into a cell while waiting on trial. Our "innocent until proven guilty" process means, legally, he isn't guilty of the crime until trial and therefore has the legal right to freedom while awaiting trial.

If i had their mentality every time i said a pitbull, I'd never work in the animal field. It's called professionalism, and unfortunately police across the nation have little to none at all and allow their emotions to dictate actions and thoughts.
He was super in shock too, these cops were horrible. They didn't have any patience with him at all, just told him stuff like "breathe" and "calm down" which I don't think is the thing to do as a trained cop
Yes lets automatically blame the police for being reasonable, its a form of suspecting people, and usually people who report crimes including murderers can sometimes be the culprit, do you know how suspicious it sounds for 1. Being the only person on site 2. Being the only witness on site 3. Having wounds that the "Suspect" can't explain Cops have to come to quick assumptions and make sure evidence isn't destroyed, so they take the prime suspect which is usually a person who is closely related to the victim or the only person present during the crime, the United States as you might know is based off of a Innocent until proven guilty, this situation may seem like its contradicting it but he's still innocent, and their following regular procedure to make sure that he IS innocent whilst the evidence is still present and "Fresh"
I agree that they sound incredibly aggravating, but they're trained to get people to repeat things to make them clear, and also to keep people on the phone talking while stuff is going on. They don't want incomplete, unclear phone calls that end too soon.
Dude, I don’t think you understand what they’re trying to do. The dispatcher is both gathering information and keeping the caller calm without them hanging up. They literally just need you to be talking the whole time. You could say some important information, you could go into a panic which makes it worse for first responders, they’re job is get your info, send people, then do investigation
Nah, they would need proof of his guilt and they wouldn't be able to find any. Just being suspected by cops doesn't automatically mean you'll lose your Freedom/life. They would have to have evidence that places him at the scene at the time of the murder and they never would have found it. He cowered, so he never had any chance of his footprints being in blood, or having blood on his clothes, or having her blood on him at all, etc... etc... We still have Rights in this country, like the Right to be presumed innocent, the Right to an attorney, the Right to a fair trial and an jury, etc... etc...

I had a stalker for over 10 years. Never saw his face. It was the days before cameras. Even getting married and having kids only escalated his behavior. A police man suggested that I gain weight. At about 175, I lost him.
This is so funny and sad at the same time. I’m so sorry about this!! Must’ve been really scary! Was it someone you knew? I was never stalked to this extent but I was followed once going to the store to get groceries despite me being on the heavier side. After this experience I’ve opted to carry a sharp pen with me in my pocket ever since but the paranoia nor anxiety never really goes away
Damn, that's terrible. I had protected a friend of mine for a couple weeks one time when a guy was stalking her and she was a mess. The mental and emotional stress was overwhelming for her. She was well under 21, but I ended up getting a gun for her and it possibly ended up saving her life. Her stalker finally found a time when she was in a dark "transitional space" and came up behind her, but she expected him and had her gun in her hand already. It was the first and last time she ever saw his face. She believes that he never covered his face, because he had planned to kill her and seeing his face didn't matter. In the end though, he was never identified and we still have no idea who he was (over 20 years later). Your comment reminded me of the whole situation and now I'm wondering if I should suggest for her to go through mug shots and the sex offender website to see if he was ever arrested before or after that. I think the sex offender registry existed before that... or at least I think that sex offenders from those days will be on there also if they're still alive. I don't think he could ever be charged for stalking her though after so long. They never indicted him at that time, so the statute of limitations would make it impossible to have him charged. (My x brother in law stabbed my sister years ago and although he fled and was never caught, he was indicted, so the statute of limitations will never protect him from being charged if he's ever caught, even if 50 years goes by).
She was seizing too at the time and I can tell you it is horrific to watch that happen, even without the blood and other injuries of having been attacked.

Anyone else find it ridiculous how nonchalant everyone is and how no one’s in a rush? You would think they would send an ambulance BEFORE going to the house where someone was attacked. If she had any chance the officers and responders on the phone took it from her. What a shame.
That's why you should DRIVE someone to the hospital if possible, instead of waiting for an ambulance. They ALWAYS move slow as Hell, it took them 15 minutes (!) from arriving at our house, to get my mom in the ambulance! Just casual af, I learned my lesson that night!!
From my understanding EMTS/first responders don’t go straight to the injured unless the crime scene is locked down & secured by law enforcement. In this case they don’t know if the attacker was still in the house or if there was multiple attackers. @mike yes that also depends on the situation. If it was a physical accident that you could control that was caused by yourself or friends/family member… sure… but in this case it’s a crime scene & you don’t wanna tamper with anything until authorities get there and start their investigation .
When I broke my arm, my bone went through the skin, and I was bleeding. It took them an hr and 12 mins before anyone came, the fire fighters got to me first. My friends immediately called 911 within the minute I fell down because they saw my bone. Yet it still took them long.

It irritates me that any time the roommate showed heightened emotions and behaviour he was constantly told to "calm down" by first responders and police, as if they were irritated and not wanting to deal with him. I know what its like to call the police frantically because you're scared and worried. People who take on these jobs should be people who want to help others, not downplay their fear.

Am I completely missing something? I mean, the video clearly shows him discovering her the same time that the police did???
That confused me too. He made it seem like he didn’t know if she was in danger but apparently had already discovered her body. Maybe it was edited weird. So I’m guessing he heard screaming, called 911 but didn’t want to check on her because he feared there was a weapon involved, eventually went down and found her, went for help but locked himself out, tried scaling the fence but injured himself, cops arrive and they successfully go over the fence, and maybe the shock we’re hearing is witnessing her having a seizure?
Right? Im still confused about where he was when he heard that.. he said he was alseep and some other stuff, but confusing.. If it werent for those cameras😮😮😮😮😮😮

The that fact people in court can defend monsters like this is a fundamental firewall between a free society and a totalitarian dystopia. It's yoeman's work and should be as respected as the first line of the military during a beach invasion. The fact that monsters are guaranteed a vigorous defense is what keeps us from having roaming death squads (and even then, it's not entirely successful). I'm sure many defense attorneys are haunted by certain of their clients, but their work is absolutely critical, ESPECIALLY when John Q is absolutely sure of the accused's guilt and has the pitchforks close at hand. Let's be real, the odds in the courtroom are stacked against the accused, regardless of guilt or innocence. In terms of judicial error it's a fair hypothesis that the rate of false conviction is significantly higher than the rate of false acquittal (though both obviously occur). The entire system is a delicate balance, and upsetting it out of a carnal desire for instant vengeance is a guaranteed way to experience the worst of unintended consequences.
What behavior? All they did was question him and cleared him? What if they do besides think logically? They see a blood man and a dead woman. Should they not question that person? When 99% of the time it’s the person you live with that kills you.. I don’t get what they did that’s so awful.

I think he lied about him doing CPR bc when you see him walk up with the police you can tell it was his first time seeing her in that state..
When Michael said he yelled upstairs it kind of reminded me of saving private Ryan , he should of ran up those stairs
And imagine before ring cameras, how many innocent people are still in prison or died?
okay im only 3 minutes in but why tf are the cops just standing there and walking slowly ??
I know this is a true crime channel so there's a ton of bootlicking, but it's mostly because the police are pretty bad at their jobs
Sadly, as a woman, who really hasn't had troubling relationships? More common that people think.
I’ve never been in this situation before but damn, Im pretty confident I’d be going inside that house to help my friend if I heard them screaming.
Right? Im still confused about where he was when he heard that.. he said he was alseep and some other stuff, but confusing..
If it werent for those cameras😮😮😮😮😮😮
He smokes weed. That can make some people paranoid. Also does he look like the type of guy that can fight? Probably feels guilty about it now. Also who knows if he would've been killed too. Don't forget what happened to Nicole Brown Simpson & Ron Goldman.
Sound good but that's not how it works
She’s not his mom for him to risk his life for her
The fact people in court can defend monsters like this is insane to me knowing damn well that they're guilty!
It's their Bill of Right (it sucks, but it would be unconstitutional not to)
Without a fair trial and legal representation we dont have a justice system.
Exactly knowingly fighting for someone guilty is wicked. Yahuah is not pleased.
We don't have that@@jaceacekalgoorlie
Her laying on the ground with weak pulse and cops not dispatching ems even after not starting Cpr is crazy
That poor roommate 😢
that police behavior makes you think twice to do the right thing
What behavior? All they did was question him and cleared him? What if they do besides think logically? They see a blood man and a dead woman. Should they not question that person? When 99% of the time it’s the person you live with that kills you.. I don’t get what they did that’s so awful.
Her roommate is so lucky those cameras exonerated him.
Oh man, Gareth was on Kill Tony years ago! I knew he murdered someone but i never knew exactly what he had done. Rest in peace Amie.
That's hilarious. Do you know what episode?
