The legendary tiger from the Powalgarh region in the Himalayan foothills, nicknamed the 'Bachelor of Powalgarh', was "the most sought-after big game trophy" in northern India in the 1920s. The majestic specimen measured over 10 feet in length and must have possibly weighed north of 600 lbs.
This is arguably Corbett's last personal trophy hunt and the only instance of trophy hunting from his stories.
