Thank you for talking about everything that could be wrong. Alot of other videos just immediately say the problem is the brake booster without discussing other possibilities.
This guy is awesome my brakes were hard as he'll to push and when he said the elbow is a one way I already knew I put it back on backwards if it wasn't for him it would've took me years to figure out lol
Thank you very much! It's about time a video for THIS ISSUE was made. This is a serious problem which if Not addressed can lead to a tragic incident. It has boggled me for a few years now. Thank God I have not had an accident, and I have been braking well. However, there is no power in the braking. I knew it had something to do with either booster or vacuum. Now I discover there's a vacuum pump to deal with..
thank you borat's brother
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Very nice!
thank you pablo escobar 😂
😂🤣
🙈🤣🤣🤣🙈
Very helpful, hard to understand because of noise in background, and slight echo. Older cars more likely to have bad diaphragm, thanks.
Wow. That was very informative. Thank you. Been around cars forever. Never knew about the pump or relay. Changed the master cylinder a few times
Thanks for your video mate .
Thanks!!... you solved my problem... one hose came off... love your vids
Thank you . Found it and fixed it on granddaughter car
Thank yoU! So straightfoward!
Your advice was extremely helpfull
Unfortunately for me, my 2005 Town&Country doesn't have a brake vacuum pump, and I saddened by this discovery bcuz it would mean I will still have that hard pedal. On another note, changing the pcv value although proved to be difficult, And came out in pieces, it pushed me to replacing the value cover gaskets too. The brake pedal is still the same (no resolve there yet), but engine power did increase a good 30%. I was surprised at the acceleration. Still, the most important part is resolving the hard brake pedal. I doubt I will be replacing the booster or master cylinder. However, I do wonder if the ABS valve has something to do with it.
thanks for the quality advice!!
Thanks it helped me a lot you saved my money from going to a mechanic
can you do a spongy brake pedal? thanks
nice thanks. Yesterday, while driving after resolving tyre puncture, after a few kilometer drive, on the highway, i heard a Popping sound, and thats all, the brake pedal became hard and I could not press it. I stopped it and slowly with hazard lamp condition, brought it to my garage and working with the mechanic. But, still, i am clueless what be reason. My car is FIAT Linea. any inputs for me pl. Thanks.
It happened to me during heavy traffic constantly moving and breaking so when I stopped I turned off the car and then turned it on again and it worked properly again. Does this means that the system is going to fail soon or is it kind of "normal"??
the commenter increase idle rpm to 800-850
@@nobody6440 how does that help?
high rpm will increase the vaccum in brakes vaccum pipe
@@nobody6440 thx. Will give that a go
Same thing is happening to me. I pulled over and turned off my car. The brake pedal felt stuck so I kinda forced it to go up and I hear something release from my tire I think. Anyways the brake pedal goes down now that I did that
Thanks guys!
What if the brake system is only stiff during cold start, but it’s ok once the engine warms up already
I have a 2016 dodge caravan 3.6l v6 and I just changed the oil cooler out and am getting 2 problems. 1. the brakes don't seem to be engaging at idle speed but work fine once I get past the 10 mph range. 2. I am getting a tick on the mil and the esc and also the etc and brake warning light. Any ideas whats going wrong here? Only ticks after getting to running temperature except the brake warning light is on all the time now
Update: after looking over the connections again I realized the precise hose that connects to the brake system and seemed to be causing all the problems. I am 10 minutes into it and no more problems
Check throttle body gasket. I think that's my issue asi removed it then re installed it to engine without putting on new gasket. Next day hard brakes.... cause of vaccum loss? Maybe. Cheers.
hi. i have a toyota coaster bb10 1977 motorhome and my brakes hard to stop. will be the brake booster or a hose. i will have a good look, thank you i'm from australia little town of lithgow
Can it still be fuse related with the vacuum pump because the only time my car won't start is when temperatures go below freezing I'll try gas line antifreeze I've tried everything I have a brand new battery brand new manifold new alternator and new starter mine is a 2012 Dodge journey??
Hello, love your vids, I have a dodge journey 2.4 liter sxt. My problem is starting my car because my brake pedal becomes so hard it wont let me start my car, this problem is only at start up, brakes work great when car is running. Also I get a red lightning bolt with this problem.
I replaced my throttle body and remember my brake feeling normal for start up. but since replacing my throttle body, I have had this issue return twice with the hard brake not allowing my car to start, resulting in tow on both occasions. Any thought on this anomoly.
Did you find the issue yet I have the exact same issue and car
@tazzy2778 Yes, I did. Believe it or not, my battery cable on the positive side was not tight enough, causing
A voltage drop.
Can’t understand why people give negative reviews if you don’t like the video just skip it how much you wanna make a bet all those thumbs down watch the video to the end thanks for your help great video. 👌🏻
