The 370Z finally gets an oil cooler, this one is a G-Plus 30 row like the one that is in my G. This is one of those 100% MUST have for our VQVHR engines. This one is affordable but it's very good quality, definitely recommend 100%.

I’m in AZ as well and in this eat my 2015 q50 needs this cooler. The bracket you are talking about would this fit q50 as well? Or should look for oil cooler that’s made for Q50 only?
I'm willing to bet it will, I'm sure the radiator core support between the two models ain't that much different.
Why do you suggest the Greddy sandwich plate?? Did the one from ebay fail or start leaking ??
Because the Greddy one is thermostatic and the ebay one is not. You want the thermostatic especially on a street car because it controls the engine oil temps, let's the engine warm up quicker and keep the oil temps just at the optimal temp to keep the engine running healthier.
Would I need a oil cooler for just isr lth catback and 3 inch intakes ? I’m not even looking for too much power either way
I would say you need an oil cooler even if you're stock and if you like driving spiritedly. You're prolonging the life of the oil with one, which in terms you're prolonging the overall health of the engine as well over time. Hope that helps and good luck with your project.

Hello there, so to my understanding is, with the way the oil flows through the sandwich plate, the sensor is actually reading the temps after it's cooled through the cooler and not what the actual engine temp coming out of the engine. One of these days I'm going to try and test this theory out myself, but for now I'm running as is.
what do u do when u have to do an oil change? does all the oil drain out from the oil cooler?! How does that work
To my understanding if the oil cooler sits above the sandwich plate most of the oil will drain out if you leave it draining for a while. I believe this because the last time I replaced the oil cooler after sitting overnight the oil cooler was pretty much empty. Just an FYI to anyone that reads this comment: I will be making a follow-up video because I realized that this kit is good for racing applications but not so much for daily driving because the sandwich plate is not a thermostatic style one, which is best for daily drivers. Stay tuned for that, I already bought a replacement part for both the G and the Z.
So thermostatic one is better for daily driving

You know what, I just realized that I just assumed that this oil cooler kit came with a thermostatic sandwich plate but I checked the description and it does not. So no I wouldn't recommend this kit anymore, get yourself a kit that has a thermostatic sandwich plate, it's better for your engine. Thanks for helping me realize this.

One for the G and one for the Z. If you end up ordering the G-plus kit and the Greddy thermostatic sandwich plate you're looking at about $250 with tax and shipping, which is actually still cheaper than most big name brand ones on the market.
Did you have to use different oil filter type czp says use z32 filter?
