Parasyte is one of my all time fave manga, so I’m definitely looking forward to Parasyte: The Grey…I’ll be watching it as soon as it drops. I’m also really looking forward to Anthracite. I LOVED Black Spot, so I have developed a bit of a love of French thriller/horror. And all around my birthday 🥳

I really feel that "Them" season 2 needs a shout out! So far it's had some really bone chilling scenes. I don't know what it is .. but the series seems to be pretty under the radar for how well executed season 1 was.
i do believe late night with the devil will be coming to shudder this month as well.

Parasyte looks great. I'll probably check out the Berlin doc and the new werewolf adaptation too. The making of The Tunnel has its own separate full documentary? I liked the movie just fine, but this treatment doesn't feel totally necessary.
I'm most excited for Delicate part 2. This has been a great season of AHS we've had in a while
I cant handle spiders (thank you Arachnophobia the movie), but intrigued by Anthracite.

I saw Eight for Silver on Netflix here yesterday which has nice folk horror undertones and some great atmospheric shots. The monster is meh though

Infested is just everyday in Australia
Japan made two Parasyte movies back in 2014/2015. I enjoyed those, but they weren't quite as good as the anime. I have doubts about this Korean version, if only because Yeon Sang-ho lacks consistency. Sure, he directed "Train to Busan" but he also directed "Psychokinesis", and his film "Peninsula" was generally disliked.

I know that Parasite The Grey looks really wild there, Emma. I know some people will be getting Stranger Things vibes from it though.
You have to watch mute witness, it's not a new movie it's from 1990 but it's finally available streaming on shudder. It it one of my favorite understand slasher thrillers. It's really intense. Highly recomend.

I have a suggestion... it's not a horror/thriller per se - and it's one of those films that you kind of have to stick with and take as a whole, but for me, personally... it was one of the most dreadful things I've ever watched.
The film is "Aniara" - it's a Swedish film. I watched it with subtitles - - did not take away from the experience at all.
I do tend to gravitate more toward 'existential horror', but this one stands out for two reasons: One being that it is (semi) grounded in reality, the second being the fact that I had to turn it off and give myself a pep talk at a certain point... and I've seen "A Serbian Film"!
Anyway - I love your videos, they inform my film collection at-large, and hopefully you enjoy my suggestion if you decide to check it out (you must get a thousand of these a day, right?).
