Sam-scribers! lol, I like this idea. I probably should read outside of fantasy too at some point. One of my goals last year was to read more middle-grade books as well as adult, as I mostly read young adult. And i did read quite a few in those categories. Maybe i should try different genres now. I was just gifted a mystery book for chistmas. :)

I think non-numerical goals are a great idea. Sometimes less is more; you make the book you read worthwhile. Not to mix fantasy and sci-fi into one genre but what do you think about Star Wars short stories/fanfiction?

I’ve never read any Star Wars material! Would you recommend?

I’m not too into reading fiction, but I absolutely love “Parable of The Sower” by Octavia E. Butler. It’s really good and I actually want to reread it. I think you’d like it if you like sci-fi or dystopian.

Hey Marco!! Sounds exciting! We’ll see where this year takes you! N.K. Jemisin is also on the list if I have time for her- I have the broken earth trilogy on my shelf!

I like this approach a lot. I think changing up the genre might help with retention. I'm also an avid reader, and sometimes I look through the list of books I've read, and for the older ones, I can hardly remember most of it.
I have decided to reread some books this year. I was always against this because like you, I had the feeling that my "to read" list is never ending. But I actually thinking rereading is underrated. What's your opinion on rereading?

I love rereading! I didn’t do it as much last year as I usually do, but I’d love to make time for it again this year. Thanks for watching!!

I read the Monk & Robot duology per your recommendation and they are now among my all time favorites! I am also hoping to read the Wayfarers series this year so i’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on them (:

I honestly feel I'd prefer reading 5 super-influential books rather than 50 so-so books. Do you agree? Great video!

I think being a content creator who focuses on books requires me to read a bit more than 5, but in general yea! Quality vs quantity is a balance I have to find- and they’re not always mutually exclusive!
