  • At KSP Awards 2019, we spoke to Sameera Reddy about her campaign #ImperfectlyPerfect. She speaks to us about how she was body-shamed as a child, how she was the 'it girl' when she was an actress and about how hard pregnancy was. Tune in to this video to know how she dealt with gaining 105 kilos, about post-partum blues and why it is so important for her to address this issue of painting a realistic picture of what pregnancy and post-pregnancy feels like to all the women out there.

@@Aurora_Norway2000 It is quite difficult for anyone to settle in a whole new place and start things from scratch as we'll have everything necessary + luxury life back in our country for instance house, car and many other things.
Here we have to build from scratch which will be quite difficult for the first few years and there won't be anyone for support and hardly anyone to talk to.
Health: Here it's free of cost for basic treatments and also delivery. But health card will be issued after 3 months of arrival to the country. Until then we should be blessed to not fall sick.

Transportation: Quite comfortable, affordable and accessible.

I knew about postpartum depression but didn’t think I could succumb to it too. I had terrible anxiety after my first child. I didn’t love being pregnant, nor was labour, breastfeeding or never getting any sleep a fun experience. I was a slim girl before having a kid. Suddenly I was chubby. I loved my child, but I didn’t love any of the above. With my 2nd it was so much better as I didn’t have any “unrealistic” expectations of myself. I felt judged sometimes for being honest. Even by women who were close to me. But with my second, just like Sameera I owned it. I called it what it was. I had a much better experience. Women out there...let’s not pretend to each other. Not loving everything about becoming a Mother doesn’t make us bad Mothers! I’m a great Mother and I know it! Thanks Sameera for using your platform to create awareness!

And then another bunch of relatives who were around us were defending me by saying " ARE YOU MENTAL??...SHE GAVE BIRTH AND HAS CHILD.SHE DOESN'T HAVE DIPPRESSION. She is happy ". I was 🤐 😞😐😔
