He was a musician who is much better than Peter but he'll never outshine the outstanding solos of Eric Carr. I did think the harmonica bit was hilarious 😅 I was blessed to see this tour after seeing Hot in the Shade both at this arena. The HOT set list was better but Bruce Kulicks playing is a hell of a lot tighter on these songs. He played them much better on Alive 3. The microphone, especially for Gene, sounds really weird and distorted. The Statue of Liberty 🗽 was fierce but the Sphinx was so much damn awesome 👍😎😱. I was there. Other than the prime era (1974-1977) this was by far the strongest musical lineup they ever had. Paul was outstanding, Gene finally looked comfortable, Bruce is very strong...but it was Eric Singer on drums that made everything so solid and strong. Super strong set list and tons of great explosion and visuals as well. I was disappointed at how "overly glossy" "Alive III" came out. This is much rawer and more enjoyable.
One of the best shows I have been to. Period.

Thanks for posting this, touring in support of their best non-makeup record, Revenge. Given the low ticket sales of their End of the World Tour, if still wanting to make more money, get Ace and Peter back in fold and tour without makeup. Who cares if they can't play or sing as well as they could in the past, when the original four were together, it was magic

This was the ability/talent elite Kiss lineup, and that includes the time with Eric Carr, God rest his soul. I regard Carr and Singer interchangeably because they were both wonderful drummers and a great fit.
With no disrespect to original Kiss, because I love the era that started it all, but Kulick and Carr/Singer were superior musicians to Ace and Peter.
Kulick was the same generation of player that Ace was, but he evolved from 70s guitarist to a very well-rounded 80s guitarist, learning and incorporating an appropriate amount of "shreddy" techniques to hold his own with the new generation of players, but without scrapping his authenticity and becoming a mindless walker.
And when the Revenge era hit, he went back to his roots more. He was the total package, and a consummate professional who stays faithful to the fans to this day.
Carr was a similar story -- of the right age to be a 70s rock drummer but open to new styles that included double bass drum use and more "metal" grooves.
I do not believe Kiss would have survived the 80s with such a convincing transition into 80s hair metal if the originals had stayed. Not that I don't love the Catman's swingy grooves or Ace's "Keith Richards on steroids and cocaine" approach. It's all wonderful in it's own way.
But this era was a kind of "real" that longtime fans like me miss.
