I really thought about it, but I had been dragging the project long enough to just want to put a quick end to it, and, besides, a neutral base allows for playing 2nd ed WH40K if I ever grow the termies into a full-fledged army!
Those old terminators looks way better than the last two generations of the same models, the new ones are nice but they don't have that soul of the older 90s terminators .

I am taking much inspration from you on this Space Hulk project of yours as I am working on the samething! So I had to subscribe! However I found the first edition rules in PDF form on the web, bought figures from EBAY and I am building the boards with plaster molds I have. So I have not actually purchased a used copy of the game. Just for information there were two supplements to the first edition, Deathwing and Genestealer which introduced the assault cannon, chain fist, and all of the other weapon types.
I am aware of those! There is also a WD that allows those to be played with in 2nd edition. And in WD, you could use power gloves with grenade launchers as well for 1st edition. I just meant how these weapons are used in the vanilla games, and only 3rd and 4th include them as such. I hope you keep motivated and get the game finished soon!

@@rushthewash tuve uno de ambernic hace años (me lo compré básicamente para sobrevivir los viajes España-Australia) pero se rompió sin motivos aparentes… ahora tengo una que cuesta unos 20 Eur en aliexpres pero SNES no la emula muy bien. Las ambernic más modernas parece que están bastante bien.
My first marine was a blood angel and I hated it, it was painted OK but I only had blood angels orange, was an orange angel unfortunately, so I moved to ultramarine for my xaptain with power fist and bolter and just loved him
I have to be fair and allow for the impact of the camera lens which does not translate colours the same way our eyes do. And then there is also the fact that you are shining a bright light on the figures which has its own impact on the colours. But I got to say, those features do not look black on the screen, I imagine what you are doing is another version of the grey some people use instead of black and it has the same issues. By the way, just an observation, my first marine army was the Ultramarines and back in the day the Ultra' blue was much lighter than the version you are using there.
This is Ultramarines blue contrast paint, which is much, much darker than the old Ultramarine paint. Ultramarine back then would be used to darken Enchanted Blue, but this is more akin to something like that with a hint of black to saturate it. Regarding how the mini looks vs. how it is when held in the hand, it all depends on the screen you are watching it from as well. There is light involved and camera gear, that's for sure, but I honestly read the dark blue areas as black. Case in point, my brain has me trained to see them that colour! There is a cool pic around a Coca-Cola can in blue colours that you see as red, and I think something similar is happening here to me!
