My favourite Marve scene is the tool chest and the brick scene. As a kid I could watch then 100 times and still laugh. With an honorable mention to *wow what a hole*
@@xXSinForLifeXx Man that brick scene!! Just when you think Harry is finally gonna get hit with a brick...NOPE, Marv catches a 4th brick to the head!! lmao! XD
Not to mention Adventures in Babysitting (hence his directorial debut, prior to Home Alone 1&2), and was the writer for Joe Dante & Steven Spielberg's Gremlins.
I think what makes this one so funny is that first they got the original cast back and then said “Well, the traps in the first movie would have caused serious injuries. What if this time, we just made Kevin’s traps straight-up attempted murder?” And I’d say it worked out pretty well, so…🤣
I think the reason there was no Home Alone 3, at least with the McAllisters, is after two years of this they were like "You know what? Let's just stay home next year." The first time I saw this, I was convinced Kevin was going to give the other turtledove to the burglars, binding their fates together and dooming them to battle until the end of time.
Not to mention Macaulay Culkin was getting older so It would look kinda silly. If the franchise had started around 1988 then yeah because part 3 would've been out by 92-93
I got lost at a fair one time when I was 6 but i had the free ride bracelet and just rode rides all day until my grandpa found me 😂 also wondered off on my own down a river when I was like 8 and it took me forever to find the road again
24:25 Bruh I can honestly say I haven't laughed at anything as hard as the Marv brick scene. When he yells unintelligible English at Harry I cry laughing everytime.
Merry Christmas to you both. I've only seen the first two and this one was always my favourite. In part because of Tim Curry, he's just too good. The movies have to have that tie in but you're right, they're different enough so they're enjoyable as separate stories and keep you interested.
If you haven't seen them you should react to The Grinch That Stole Christmas by Jim Carrey, Ave Ventura 1&2 The Mask, and Rush Hour 1&2, Merry Christmas Eve🎄.
My older brother and I grew up loving this movie. Daniel Stern is so fucking funny and that brick scene and the electrocution scene were the funniest shit I'd ever seen growing up. Also Kevin's bed set was the same as my brother's and that was a big deal for us back then.
I love this movie, it was my dream to be on my own in New York as a kid. Probably wouldn't have ended this well though. I have to acknowledge the outfits, you both looking good but that jacket of yours is top notch
Thank you!!! Glad somebody realizes this movie while having some of the same formula is NOT a copy and paste of the first one This one is my absolute favorite. We are reminded of the first one many times which is great but we also get some new stuff too. This is my favorite Christmas movie
Home Alone 2: Fatality, Flawless Victory Great commentary you guys! Love the energy. I would just say though, I know for people who grew up with snow and everything associated with cold weather as the norm/cultural ideal at Christmas, anything other conditions feel just wrong but...speaking for those of us raised in tropical climates (I'm from the Caribbean), not to mention most of the Southern Hemisphere where the seasons are opposite, Christmas is completely lovely in the sunshine. It's not better or worse, just different.
Yeah that's the thing about home alone it's pretty realistic as far as everything except for the traps that requires cartoon logic to see them go through all of these things and not be dead
33:00 Home Alone 2 is way better than the first one I agree. I laughed way more at this one, as a kid I would play this on repeat. Like you said it's strange for the sequel to be better but it truly is. You would think for a show with this premise the sequel wouldn't be good.
I used to work at O'Hare. Lots of remodeling in terminal 3 but the decorations are still exactly the same. Still looks very similar to when this movie was filmed.
When Trump, who owns the hotel in the film, was asked where the lobby is, he says "Down the hall and to the left". Keven then goes down the hall and to the right but still ends up in the lobby. This suggests that Trump doesn't know the way around his own hotel.
Or it's just a blooper. Almost every film has at least one. The script supervisor messed up on that one. haha. I really liked that scene. And their reaction was funny, too. haha
MERRY CHRISTMAS ☃️🎄 This is such a fun comedy slapstick adventure film, where the Wet Bandits escape prison, but Kevin Macallister is ready for a New York City Showdown.
The old New York pigeon lady always reminded me of my grandmother. She looks so much like her, and my mom has pictures of my grandmother covered in pigeons in a big square with old buildings. As a child, the 2 memories were inseparable. Lol

You’re right! Christmas should be cold and cozy and wintery. However, this yr in Arkansas we are pushing 80 degrees and a humidity that feels like a green house. Booooooooo the weather sucks this year. But Jesus is the reason for the season so that’s all that matters.
