@@nathancruz9172Yes especially him! That scene at the end of the 1st movie when Old Man Marley reunites with his family (and Kevin’s reunion with his mom) has me in tears EVERY YEAR 🥹 Watching the end of this movie this month made me tear up a little bit too. Love these movies so much.
Glad you enjoyed this classic! It’s easily my favorite Christmas film & possibly my #1 comfort movie. I love how it does pretty much the exact same things as the first movie but with a twist. Especially love the NYC setting! ❤️💚
Director Christopher Columbus told Insider that since Trump owned the Plaza Hotel at the time, he said he'd only let them film there if he could be in the movie too. --- Yeah, that sounds like him. lol
There was originally going to be a 3rd film with Macaulay Culkin. 2 & 3 were meant to be filmed simultaneously but plans fell through. Plans were later revived for the 3rd film with Kevin meant to return as a teenager but Macaulay had taken a hiatus from acting in 1994 so the idea was reworked with an all new cast of characters which became the less popular Home Alone 3.
There too many movies now, and they are just bad. The only way I'll see a remake now is if Johnny Knoxville and Steve O play the bad guys and they do the stunts for real.
8:20 He owned the Plaza Hotel at the time when they were filming. According to the director, Chris Columbus, he bullied his way into the movie by telling them the only way they could use the Plaza was if they let him be in the movie.
12:25 Glad you acknowledged that 🔥 transition. I feel like no one ever comments on it. Fun fact btw: Idk if you watched The Wild Thornberrys on Nickelodeon growing up but that guy, Tim Curry, was the voice of Nigel Thornberry, the dad on the show. He also played Pennywise in the original It miniseries.
😂😂 *Kevin:* "Am I bothering you?" *The Pigeon Lady shakes her head no.* *Matty:* "What if she was just like, "Yeah.." 😂😂 She'd be like, "Get the hell away from me you little blonde weirdo.." Kevin then angrily storms off, kicking pigeons at his feet left & right in just a cloud of flying tail feathers, coos & squawks..😂😂
Just like the first movie, Home Alone 2 was a big hit at the box office, making $359 million worldwide & becoming the 3rd-highest-grossing film of 1992 behind Aladdin & The Bodyguard.
Donald Trump’s cameo wasn’t random. He owned the plaza hotel at the time. There’s no way he’d let them film in his hotel without giving him an appearance
We need more of those videos of you walking to your kitchen grabbin drinks brother lol it was dope. And this is the best home alone movie. 2 is so underrated! Honestly 3 is pretty good even tho it's a different boy but it grew on me as a kid but I thought 4 was a waste of space.
When I was a kid this movie was my ideal dream vacation minus the scary parts of course lol. Luckily I did get to go on two school trips to NYC during 8th & 11th grade. Unfortunately we didn’t stay at the Plaza Hotel on either one. During the 8th grade trip we didn’t even stay in NY. Our hotel was in Newark, NJ.
These gotta be the worst parents, how tf do you lose your kid AGAIN? Funny what perspective does. As a kid this was like my ultimate dream, being older and thinking what it'd be like if I was a parent, it's my worst nightmare. Marv was making as much sense as Antonio Brown there near the end, just throwing and blabbing to police. By the way, $967 back then is $2,100 now, inflation is no joke. I think part of why I like this one more than the 1st is because I saw this before the OG, Kevin also seems more resourceful than the first, but both of them are great movies. Great work as always Matty
Thank you so much for this reaction! This is by far my absolute favorite Home Alone film out of the entire franchise! Again if you would’ve chosen to continued I would’ve just recommended the third film just for the entertainment and the sixth film for the callbacks to the first 2 films. If you wish, Daniel Stern has another film called Bushwhacked which is hilarious as well as the Home Alone films. Also Brenda Fricker (Pigeon Lady) has another film that I highly recommend called Angels in the Outfield with Christopher Lloyd and Danny Glover. Another amazing family comedy about kids kicking adults butts is the 3 Ninjas franchise which I highly recommend! 🧑🏼👨🏻🦲👨🏻🦱👩🏻🦰👵🏻 🏠✌️✈️🗽🕊️ 💙💛❤️🤍🩶
The gaslighting this family does is beyond INSANE. Kevin gets picked on during his solo & an entire audience of people, ADULTS included, think it’s the funniest thing in the world. Yet somehow Kevin is considered the bad guy in all of this 🤦🏾♂️ And Buzz’s “apology” was so obviously disingenuous.
Something is seriously wrong with RUclips’s algorithm for this video not to be performing just as well as the first movie’s reaction especially since it has a decent amount of likes & comments already. Hopefully views pick up soon 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Hi just wanted to mention, something, the only IMO otherwise loved your reaction alot ! is i been to Florida once when we had winter like in IL and it was 60 there and their grass was shiny as the easter grass fake stuff all shiny and beautiful palm trees and just really green beautiful. To me of any ranking it is oddly always New York that is last in everything i can think of when i sat and thought from what is een or spotted in pictures and stuff i came across just over priced stuff poor homeless lookin downtowns though now what i seen by others showing it dead stores, dead downtowns just food places that about it. FLorida just had like this beautiful green look beautiful different trees and beautiful landscapes New York just looks dead like a zombie town look and vibe. Not get the hype in beauty its last just everything. Florida what iseen of it i saw a good bit was in top 13th or 14th ish places of beauty. But to each own. Just sadly far as i know since been there once it did rain some so rainy but beautiful. New YOrk all anyone can say is just the food ... but yea other than that it does have a zombie and poor dead like look to it i dont get the hype of New York city i bet the other portions better, it has to be New York in general is a eyesore but just only point of view otherwise love your reactions and glad you didnt freak out with Trump but that is a + to me but IMO :) glad he was in it. He also let them use his hotel if be in it, and he let them remove carpet so Kevin can slide in the scene.
I love Kevin’s friendship with Pigeon Lady & Mr. Duncan 🥹🕊️ The McCallisters really need to cherish this kid with a heart of gold 😇
Me too. Especially, old man Marley.

@@EvanRC91 me too.
Accounting for inflation, 967 dollars from 1992 today would be around 2,116 dollars. So he still spent a pretty penny on his trip to the hotel.
Home alone 2 has to be my favorite Christmas movie when I was little, I’ve watched it with my family and it was amazing. Loved your reaction.💜

I didn't bother after 2 due to change in cast etc
There too many movies now, and they are just bad. The only way I'll see a remake now is if Johnny Knoxville and Steve O play the bad guys and they do the stunts for real.
Fun fact: Macaulay Culkin was paid $4.5 million plus 5% of the film’s gross to do the sequel, a huge raise from the $250K he made for the original.
Yeah he was a big deal in the 90's and the boy was getting paid. Had so much money he ain't know what to do with it
@@ezelldaniels6064No wonder he was cast as Richie Rich 😏

Not like President T to have bullying tendencies

i mean considering the fact the movie came out in 1992 , 967 dollars for room service was probably a LOT then 😅
True gotta be like 3000 now lol
Catherine O’Hara is still an icon in this movie. Such brilliant comic timing!
😂😂 *Kevin:* "Am I bothering you?" *The Pigeon Lady shakes her head no.*

I was so disappointed when I learned Duncan’s Toy Chest wasn’t even a real store. I always wanted to go 😩
It was based on a real store though: FAO Schartz! I always wanted to go since seeing it in the movie Big.
Just like the first movie, Home Alone 2 was a big hit at the box office, making $359 million worldwide & becoming the 3rd-highest-grossing film of 1992 behind Aladdin & The Bodyguard.
Aladdin (original and remake) and The Bodyguard are good films to see
12:00 “This kitchen’s not the same without you! It’s just a greasy spoon. Just a greasy spoon without you.” 🧽🦀😭🤣
8:38 Since I was a kid I always thought she looked very similar to Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall).
Tim Curry , hotel manager , played a very different role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show as Dr Frank-n-furter. A good movie to see
Donald Trump’s cameo wasn’t random. He owned the plaza hotel at the time. There’s no way he’d let them film in his hotel without giving him an appearance

Adjusted for inflation, $967 in 1992 would be $2,116.31 in 2023.
"You spent $967 on room service!?"
Yeah, when your kid is trying to survive while alone, you can't get mad at them about shit like this lol.
SPOILERS:
I love the Marv to Skeleton Pipeline.
Home Alone 2 is so fantastic.

23:47 Yeah Harry can't have survived that blast and still have his face looking like that 😂😂
HARRY AND MARV ARE THE HUMANS OF TOM AND JERRY 😂😂😂
This movie made me realise New York is both the best and worst place to celebrate Christmas.
Marv said⚡️☠️😵😭
23:02 And his first move was to a handstand and let the fire spread to his clothes as well? 😂😂😂
Good reaction. In the first two Home Alones, it's worth the price of admission just hearing Marv scream.
My all time favorite movie for Christmas 🎄
Lmaoo getting slurped under the covers is hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂

The cameo wasn't that random since Trump owned the hotel at the time.
