The same here. I was in baptist/evangelical church and I didn't know there is something like the baptism of the Holy Ghost and gifts, but one morning the HG fel on me and I started to pray in tongues🔥🙌
I grew up in Durban South Africa, later settled with my husband in Pietermaritzburg. So I had to fly out from an airport in Durban to Johannesburg, my husband drove me to the airport. 😂😂😂😂Did we not get lost trying to find our way to the airport 🤣🤣😂😂😂 it didn't mae sense?! (Hubby lived in Durban at least 5yrs of his life) I missed the flight, so i got space in the next flight out. I sat next to a lady who i knew in my heat i had to sit next to because she needed counseling, The Lord poured into her life through me it was also life changing for me. I believe in Devine appointments!!!

Indeed this is a very relevant discussion because it is so rare to see the activity of the holy spirit manifesting regularly. In Pastor Johns stories for example, they are things that happened decades ago. We should be able to have current demonstrations of the gifts of the Spirit like yesterday, last month, this morning, last week. People go to healing services and are surprised when someone actually gets healed.
Praise God for He works in miraculous ways! Thank you so much for this episode, John & Lisa. I was on Messenger X listening in on the course- Gifted by John, and have been praying for God to reveal his gifts and my purpose to me. God spoke but still I felt incomplete. I went into the field of psychiatry about 30 years ago in order to minister to hurting people and I make use of what I have learned from the Bible, sermons, and ministries such as yours with many of my hurting patients, trying to draw them towards The God of the Bible.
AMEN! When we received this truth and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with speaking in Tongues at a Bible study outside of our church, the pastor's wife wrote me and used this verse. I Cor 13:10 I had already studied and studied for 9 months and literally wore out a bible. I knew what she said wasn't truth...I and wrote back that the "perfect" has not happened yet and won't until we see Jesus face to face in eternity. Jesus is the only perfect one!

i’m fully charismatic wouldn’t say pentecostal but man lol. the pendulum swings, sometimes just sometimes we do too much but most times we do so so little. the core is his presence and reallllly leaning into His presence not so much His power. ITS ABOUT HIM! not how he moves through us
Hey you guys, let people know, y’all are seemingly the Perfect Couple but not everybody has that..: shout out to the Wives who stick to the guys who became Non believers after marriage , make made fun them after marriage ..I’ve seen Jesus’ ability and my husband stopped believing and is agnostic BUT the Holy Spirit can still Come.. it doesn’t take your husband or anybody, you can believe all by Yourself and he will show you as a believer your strength, guidance … the Bible says don’t be unequally yoked … I get that, and he wasn’t .. but it also says, stay with an unbeliever , for your Seed .. ❤do a podcast on that please because it’s so hard with kids and a family

I feel so misguided by that term and see a lot of people use it for egoistical matters, like being a millionaire or having that kind of house or handbag ect. . When I did that it seemed like it was often attached to some kind of darkness and the enemy swooped in and took over and I'd like to know how and why and really would love how to manifest out of gods will?
As the Beveres said, God gives us manifestations, He is the One who brings the seen out of the unseen and the known from the unknown. We must submit our lives totally to Him and ask Him to manifest Himself in our lives first and foremost. As we prayerfully study His Word, we know Him better, and our motives start to align with His. As the Beveres said, God is love and the motive behind all He does is love. Asking from selfish motives is totally out of line with His Word, so if you are submitted to Him, you will feel conviction whenever you start to be selfish in your prayers and declarations. The key is total submission to God and His Word.
I have a question. If you have a word of knowledge for somebody of the opposite sex, how is the best way to approach that person to deliver that word of knowledge?
