The kitchen is looking fab , well done both and it was lovely to see Dylan more confident and enjoying his walks again ( well done Donna 🤗x ) It’s really looking so fresh and changing all the electrical etc is I’m sure peace of mind too , anyway you are both obviously happy and loving the life 💗💙🤗🤗xx Keep the videos coming xx
Hi Clare, Aww, thanks for your lovely message and comments. The kitchen is really coming along and feels really spacious. I have even started using the oven and hob, which at first I didn't want to do because it was all sparkling and new :). The electrics have been challenging but it has been so worth it and we have still got something tucked up our sleeve which you will see in a future vlog. It's so lovely to have Dylan running around sniffing out all those lovely smells of fox, badger, rabbit and goodness knows what - it won't be long before he rolls in something i'm sure!! Looking forward to chatting again soon, until then take care. Donna xx
Congratulations your persistence with the kitchen has produced a very nice upgrade, good to see all of Donna's hard work and patience with rehabilitating Dylon has payed off. the boat is coming along in leaps and bounds, Thank you for sharing see you both soon.
Hi Steve, Thanks for your message, both Martin and I enjoy reading them. It sometimes feels as though things are taking a long time, but some of the small jobs seem to take so long and nothing is ever straightforward aye!! However, it is worth all the effort and I think Martin has done a great job on the lighting, it has made such a difference when cooking and the dinette area has now become a space which we will enjoy using. Thanks for watching our vlogs and we really appreciate your comments - keep them coming. Take care and best wishes Donna x
Hey Jon, You've been binge watching eh! 👌 I'm really glad you're enjoying our antics, I've just had a quick look and have subscribed to your channel and will catch up on back catalogue but for now I've got to crack on. Martin

Hello. Great to hear that Dylan is doing so well. My husband said I know why you really like these two. I am an animal lover just like you, I speak to my dogs like they are my kids. Keep up the good work, your boat is looking great. Take care.x
Hi Jayne, Thanks for your message. I'm glad we are not the only ones who talk to Dylan like he is a child - I guess in some way he is! Unlike a child though, he never answers back, doesn't ask for money or lifts and is happy with whatever food you put in front of him :). I'm glad you are enjoying the transformation of the boat so far. I think it will make a huge difference again when the tiles go on the wall which won't be far off now. Until next time, take care, Best wishes Donna x
Howdy Guys and great to hear Dylan is moving forward and feeling a lot better. Small steps creaste the full picture. Looking great so far. Cheers Keith
Hi Keith, Sorry for the slow response, I see notifications pop up on my phone but don't always remember which video they are for... whoops on my part. Dylan is definitely improving but still has his off days and he's terrified of bells. We're glad you like what we've done so far and have lots more plans. Catch up soon I hope. Martin
Hey, thanks for your lovely comment. We most certainly are living our dreams. We have been so lucky to have such wonderful weather which has definitely helped us to settle into this way of life. Also, we feel blessed to be living amongst such a wonderful community of people who immediately made us feel welcome but also have gone above and beyond by being so kind and helpful. Hope you are keeping well and look forward to chatting again soon. Best wishes Donna x
@@narrowboatnomads You were made for this way of life donna. Maybe it's the fact that we moved so much in our childhoods that we need to travel.Have a great time and come in for a cuppa next time you are in weston.Much love tabatha.xx
Hi Anthony, A local farmer brings trays of fresh eggs (30 for a fiver) to the Marina on Fridays so we had an omelette last night as it happens. Wanging the units and worktops in made a big difference, now we've got to do fiddly little jobs that take ages and aren't very noticeable but it's coming along. Mind you if this rain carries on much longer, we'll be marching the animals on two by two! Catch up soon mate.
Hi Martin Donna Dylan, yes Martin any cutting sanding wood makes such a bloody mess as I know to well as I have just decorated my hallway 7 doors had to be sanded what a mess I have done everything in the hall I used bathroom paint easily to keep clean, but got to say doing the covering was so had for me and cutting in this is wear I missed my other leg lol ,so nice to see Dylan looking happy and in the water, sorry what was the mess on the ceiling board you took down ,when you speeded the film up it’s so funny listening to your voices it made me laugh so much ,The best thing in life is laughter and Martin is good at that 😆😊😀🤣,,got to say not my favourite thing electrics so I’m watching you like a hawk Martin but you done a good job on the lights are they LED lights ,Donna I noticed you like getting your hands on things that vibrate lol like the sander lol 😂 Donna when you came in the boat and switched the first set of lights the boat looked beautiful it’s so light and homely love your patchwork top ,till next time take care keep safe, John 😅😂🤣🥰😘👏🙌🤷♀️🤷♂️
Hi John, It's good to catch up mate and I see a couple of messages from you came in, so that's great. Yes we seem to be making a mess most of the time then we clean up for an hour and start messing again eh! You make light of your situation but doing DIY on one leg must be tricky too. When I left school I spent 3 years in college as part of my electricians apprenticeship, that was more than 40 years ago but I recall bits of it. Whilst I was an engineer in BT I went back to night school to update my City & Guilds qualification to 16ty edition and yes there are LED lights throughout the boat now. All 12volt nice and bright and low energy so very low consumption. I agree with your philosophy about laughter and I've said for years that I can laugh in the face of adversity and the one in the mirror too. As for Donna and power tools, yes she loves her sanders and she was dying to get her hands on my SDS drill when we lived in the cottage 🤣😳😉. Speak soon, Martin
