    Great lesson, Vladimir, thank you. But in the Atmosphere Editor in the Light tab, the light colour and ambient colour is greyed out? I cant change it.

    Hi Vladimir, have you some info about configuration of Vue, like general setup, render setup, or some link for these information. I have still a lot of problem with the speed, but having new pc, don't should be anymore. Thanks very much!!!

    Wow ok, Vladimir you turned me onto this software which I have yet to sub to. However, this looks like the old Bryce software, I see much of the UI and layout looks almost identical to it.

    For creating clouds and skyboxes, would you recommend Vue or Terragen (for performance/quality)?

    • @Geekatplay
      @Geekatplay  5 лет назад +1

      Terragen will render faster and very good quality for skyboxes, however Vue will give you more flexibility, options and quality. Vue also providing VDB export on clouds.

      I have used terragen and the steep learning curve has turned me off, I am running vue on a older machine and it has preformed better out of the box. in options you get even with the basic level is better than terragen. if your fine with node based creation check out worldmechine its kinda expensive but you get some good results, again tho a steep learning curve for that one as well.

    Amazing as usual...
    Question.. Do your older tutorials on vue 7 and 8 and the other versions.. Still work on and apply to the latest vue version.
    Also.. Could you please do a tutorial on exporting to maya or houdini or clarrise.
    I would really appreciate your reply.
    Thanks

      Most of older tutorials will work fine with new version of the Vue. Something will get easier to do in new version.

      you need to increase atmosphere render quality, that will come with nifty prize as time. Better quality double the time

    I'm an older user, comin back to Vue...with one important question? Did you try GPU render on Nvidia cards? Does it support such render?

    • @Geekatplay
      @Geekatplay  2 месяца назад +1

    Hi everyone!!! How i can setup my vue render engine to render faster. My config is 2xxeon 3,07ghz, 2 x nvidia quadro k5000 in sli, 48gb ddr3 ram. For now, my rendering time is very exagerate, this is my principal problem. If anyone can help me, i'm very glad. Have a nice day!!!🥰

      speed of rendering may related to multiple factors, example, intersected volumetric materials ... etc. I will try find my videos about optimization.

    I bought VUe CREATOR license....Not happy...Crashes when I try to open old Vue10 Files. Interface not exciting. I think I ma going to request a refund. Is there a difference between Vue Creator and Vue Professional? TIA

    • @Geekatplay
      @Geekatplay  5 лет назад

      Different will be mostly in options that extend functionality, but not stability. I am sorry that you have problem, i would recommend contact support before you ask for refund.

    New version of VUE is now USELESS to me. Paid $99 for noting . Use to work in Windows 7...Upgraded PC to 10 but files saved in Vue Infinte 9 wont open. Help desk can't help. They wanted me to send an attachment ...not happening with 35gb files...you'd think they would have a temporary upload server to accommodate this possibility.

    hello vladimir :)
    following you a long time (Vue user) and thanx for your effort and good will... maybe not the right place for this question, but i think i mess some settings in general preferences... when i open program (new project) i have 54% free resources (20GB RAM), but not so long ago i have just under 80% (12GB RAM). i couldn't find anything about this issue, but maybe you know something, thanx a lot and respect. dejan

      Sadly my ancient copy of Vue 8 no longer works on my iMac (MacOS Big Sur 11.4) but I've just downloaded the free trial of the latest version of Vue and it's working fine, and feels reassuringly familiar to me.
