Both nice guys. When Doug first came to Vegas he was playing 2/5 at the Venetian just to mess around. We played multiple sessions at the same table. Had no idea who he was. We talked and he told me about his success online etc without letting on who he was. Was down to earth and just friendly to talk to. Only years later did I find out how successful he was at the time. This was a great interview. Enjoyed it.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you for finally saying it. Re-buys are DESTROYING poker. The whole purpose of a tournament is that it is supposed to be a level playing field. Everyone has the same chance. That's not the case when you can re-buy again and again. I think most tournaments should be freeze-outs unless specifically a re-buy tournament. That's not the case though; and if you've ever played online tournaments, you've most likely seen 8-9 players all-in on the first hand. Then the second hand. And the third. It puts a player that can't afford to keep re-buying at a significant disadvantage.

These guys are both legends. Dnegs has done so much for poker since espn started televising the sport and he was immediately one of the favorites to watch. Polk has become the next generation of legends with the GTO and heads up domination. Both have the perfect balance of knowledge, talent and personality to engage any new person to the sport. As different as they are, they are both great for the growth of the sport.
