"There's no chance I'm folding here..."
The last thing I want to hear after going all in stone cold Bluffin.
Is a snap call to be honest hahaha. Negreanou may be up, but he just showed that he is playing very scared money. If doug just put a lot of pressure, he will get most of the pots.
@@camaleonsacor1618 maybe it was just rubbing it in a more... Make your opponent squirm and sweat.
But.. Definitely a snap.
@@HereinLA213_Original no need to do that when 3 hands are left haha. even any tell that you could get will not be good for you. In fact, you will get bluffed a lot because you just showed how scared money you are. And there were a lot of hands that were just a snap on river an DN tanking. I think the theory of how wide the ranges are is just far away from him. Doug is gonna destroy him if variance is not really on DN side.
@@johaenice well scared money is a term you know. I dont belive that he is scared of losing that money, but he is going on the nity side for sure. I also belive his uncertainty. Maybe if he reads these coments then he will understand how much of nuts he had there xD
greatly disguised slow roll lol
ya'll really couldn't have done these chronologically lol
(edit - thank you PokerGO for hosting this, I think this has been the best showcase of poker in the last 5-10 years and makes me feel like I'm watching Poker After Dark my all time fav )
100% this. just kinda lazy editing.
i thought it was funny
watching this live was awesome
It's wild how PokerGO is such a well known thing in the poker community and yet they blatantly don't give a fuck about anything other than "pay us to watch!"
@@mikeyt3784 Oh contraire. We care deeply about the poker community. Most of the staff of PokerGO are avid poker players and love the game. Subscription fees pay for all the content we produce and stream. We definitely couldn’t have brought High Stakes Poker back otherwise.
I'm glad they were cordial. There's enough negativity in the world. Well done guys.
@@icanspelle6050
Shows some cowardice to have two completely different personas online and live though
It’s still early give them some time haha
Yeah most of the negativity being on f****** Twitter
Haha it's because 95% of people who act tough online aren't actually tough. These two are a great example. "Keyboard warrior" is a thing for a reason.
To be fair, though, they have a lot of money on this. Last thing they should do is start brawling. Not that either of them actually would lol but still...
This is just great for poker. It really doesn’t matter who wins, this is intriguing. Way to go Daniel and Doug. I applaud you both no matter the outcome.
This is amazing for poker. We need more grudge matches.
Also I hope they come to some sort of reconciliation during/after this. Their beef went deep.
i wonder if that feud isnt just mostly made up to promote such an event
@@woswasdenni1914 Thats something I'm thinking. Anything that gives them likes and TV makes money too.
@@woswasdenni1914 I don't think so. If one of these guys allowed his blood to boil by getting upset at everything that led them to this point, it is only going to hurt their play and make the experience excruciating. Taking $100K on video does a lot more than a few sick burns and smack talk.
Given the history between them, I thought they both were professional and kept it fun.
You are both two of my all-time favourite players. It was great to see how "friendly" the conversation was. It's great for poker and 2020!
I learned so much about the game from both these guys its so satisfying to see them battle it out on the felt with both skill and class!
10:38 -Doug:Someone gets tens
10.39:Gets tens
Vanessa didn’t play her best game here
you win!!
Jajajaja
🤣😂
@Brett Sylvester at least someone who gets it
Blahahahaha give this man a “best comment award” please
To my surprise this matchup went really well!! No trash talk, no little teasers towards one another, etc... Great job on keeping the steam on the table! Great show btw!!
so grateful for this. Great stuff. Thank you!
Great production, POKERGO!
Other than the most annoying of the annoying commentators doesn’t know how to pronounce the name of the players.
Great to view this, great guys
cant hear a thing they say, but i can hear every chip
10:35 to 11:02
Doug: "Its like someone gets tens" - 2 seconds later gets tens.
Doug: "Its like the 56 minute mark" - Negranus hand 56s.
This man is a genius.
HalfLife3 confirmed!
56 minute mark, Negreanu has 56s
5+6 = 11
This was said at 11:00
There are no such things as coincidences
can we have more live sessions between these two during their challenge pleeeaasseeee. it was annoying how during the coverage, i was trying to hear what they were saying, but they arent really primarily hooked to mics.
Pretty sure they are playing each other online right now. Search them
@@sepa6388 you are absolutely right!!! smh 🙄
@@sepa6388 this comment aged terribly 😂
"He didn't like that sneaky old man face" LOL
Doug needs to start selling “I got nothing” shirts to make up for his losses.
More Rekt Is Better
Negreanu got caught speeding, but Polk got Rekt.
@@daithi1966 its 250bb, settle down lol
@@Simon-nv5zj I'm just laughing. You're the one who is butt hurt. lol
I said this on another post but it's worth saying again: anyone who is convinced Negreanu did so well last night has NO idea how this match is set-up lol.
4:23 a perfect example of how a poker hand is like telling a story. You have to finish the story all the way to the end for it to work. Amazing play by Daniel
Its how we play. Pros are constantly thinking about what your opponent might have. Considering huge re-raise preflop, for Daniel the range seemed quite small and he was right.
That second hand....unfreaking believable. Wow!
Daniel killed it! Love to see it. He did get hit by the deck really well, but awesome!
Killed it? Overall he didnt play that well, just ran good
He ran super good, played solid and then Doug kinda tilted. Tough scene but it was fun to watch!
Of course Mike the Mouth would be happy how DN ran so far...
Daniel ran good? He was behind on most of the hands.
@@koffrekka1605 Bollocks, complete bollocks, yes he ran well, he also bluffed Doug off numerous pots whilst giving Doug odds to call (like a double bluff) he also made a couple of good lay downs during the match, and even though he ran well, he got max value out of a lot of hands, he got Doug to bet every street with nothing and ending with an all in whilst holding trips when he checked the river... Yes he ran well, saying "he didnt play that well" is complete and utter bollocks.
Damn, that last trap was brutal. Negranu knows how to play with a wide range and can really fuck with people’s minds, that’s why he is one of the best poker players
I can hear Doug screaming “FOLDDDDDDDDDDD” in his mind
0:28 I just love this laughter to dead silence moment
Old man speeding!
Young man rekt.
the second hand mike postle would consider calling in this spot :)
Satisfying outcome.
It’s cool to see them actually kinda getting along
Vanes
Great performance DNEGs. Must commend Polk on leaving the trash talk off the felt, respect is everything. Respectful by Doug, no doubt he'll have a trick or two up his sleeve online. Round 1 to the Old Pro. Well played both xx
He did. Wound up winning $1.7 million from him in the end. Polk is a monster online, but you can tell Daniel has the upper hand in person. His ability to read cards and glean information through words and body language is nearly unparalleled.
@@TheRiverweasel09 Not really. They only played 200 hands and Daniel ran very well. Also, winning pros don't have tells, if they did they wouldn't be winning.
more live hands would be much better for the show, and for daniel
I feel like there were subtle digs at each other tht went unnoticed
3:28 polk doing his best durrr impression
good ol' man kid poker still kickin' ass
Sad to see surgeons moonlighting as dealers in this economy.
Actually its hannibal lecter
Its great how can we watch full match?
Gg 200 hands is a tiny sample exited to see the end results
Interested in seeing how the online format changes the balance between these two
Dealer’s mask makes him look like Hannibal Lecter
So stupid looking too!
Honestly I would be honored to catch the Coof from either of them.
Almost makes video unwatchable. Poor guy. The players don't wear one he shouldn't have to either. It's not like they work
So cool how this was the start of them having a strong respect for each other and Daniel proving he’s anything but an old fashioned player.
done negreanu so damn dirty with that pic lmao
IN how much time itsthe next stream gonna start?
that all in on the second hand from daniel was so sick, he read dougs hand like a book.
Im a fan of both
Negreanu is the best in here. Experience makes different and not more subscriber. But both of them good.
It's actually tilting me how many times they mispronounce Negreanus name. How hard is it to look up how you pronounce one of the names of the 2 people you are commentating about ?
Ne gre anus?
@@brendontompa-clinch2306 my man, Ne gre anus
nice..ty
Young man speedin' 😛
10:33 the look on Doug's face lol
Negreanu's continual turn checks made it tough on Polk. I think he lost value in some spots, but probably saved himself from more tough river decisions.
Everytime Negs three bet he would then bet 1600, then check the turn, played it the same every time, so yeah, some hands it got him less value, but as we seen with the 6s, it got him completely paid.
DNegs “acting” like he is doing some math in his head with trips.... Blahahahaha.... normally I lm 100% against slow rolling but this was payback for all the “back the truck up” comments!
Not rly slowroll though. Nitroll at the most. He insta says "how much?" and says he prob aint folding, it was a massive overbet, it was a 3bet pot and yea ofc he doesn't lose a lot here but there's still some hands like pocket 8 or A6s although unlikely. Also, this T6 has the same relative hand strength as KQ here since polk isn't value jamming anything lighter than AK, which would've prob 4bet pre anyways, so he's repping nuts or young man speeding basically
@@Adiodevil T6 is significantly stronger than KQ. Absolutely massively. If KQ is a break-even call (good 38 % of the time), T6 will be good about 60 % of the time against a reasonable value range.
@@libertyisjustice i don't think those numbers you are throwing out are even close to accurate, don't know where you are pulling those from. When you factor in that Doug bet all in for almost 2x pot at the end, I think KQ will be good here almost exactly the same 10 6, almost negligible difference. Polk either has air here, or like A6 or full house. You think he is shoving worse kings than KQ, in a 3bet pot at that? No way...
No way Daniel is folding It was a slow roll plain and simple.
@@Haanski T6 is a significantly better hand to call with than KQ because he blocks a 6 and his kicker beats some of the 6s in Doug's range.
So much for his training videos and analysis. Young guns think they know everything when in fact they are bleeding tuna.
Doug won over 200k from DNegs online today
That K9 off all in makes things very interesting in this match. It shows Negreanu is going to keep Polk on his toes at all times and won't be pushed around.
Polked !
So who ended up winning? I watched it live for about an hour or so but didn't get to finish. Can anyone let me know who ended up winning the match? It looked like Daniel at the end of this highlight reel but still not sure. Any answers please?
@ 10:40 Polk predicts his hand… & then @ 11:00 he mentions the “56 minute mark” whilst Daniel’s holding 5-6!! 🤯
Are they getting along? Nice
Old man poker still got it!!!!!
Where can we watch the online portion?
I like daniel and his play is spectacular
Vanessa was playing good until he wasn't at the end.
first hand is also kinda bad (A3o ch/r on river I belive)
Manessa
@@camaleonsacor1618Yeah, he tried too hard to begin with, but he did pick it back up.
@@coolpoolshark yeah. I mean is logic anyway haha, he knows he will win any way, is fine to make a test. But maybe DN can be a smart guy, honestly the last big pot acting is reaaaaly good. that guy is bad but balanced, and have really nice instintcs. Anyway is doug´s game ofc and he is big favourite
@@camaleonsacor1618 Yeah, but that's poker. You can't really tell from first 200 hands. Kid poker isn't this HU duel favorite but he isn't a rookie either.

Hand 170. DNEGGS: "Ima bout to end this mans whole career."
Don't they still have another 24800 hands to play?
Poker is long term outcome tho and they are chirping after 200 hands, LMFAOO
@@supremeleaderarmy9164 I hear what you're saying but anytime Dnegs beats Doug for 116k in 200 hands it will be a big deal. Daniel spanked him with table talk and better play. It felt like massaging a weak table and hoping your opponents wanna play still. I'm sure it will be a better contest when it switches to two tabling online
@@mydogsbestfren7490
Spanked him? It was practically tied 85% in and 1 hand was massive
@@supremeleaderarmy9164 In the 200 live hands they played yeah Doug got spanked. In the biggest spots, Dnegs made the right calls and bluffs in the biggest pots
Online trolling vs reality is quite shocking here, not even a more rake t shirt or anything Doug? Common that's negative karma ev from the get go.
I like them both and through their Twitter nonsense and watching this video I still haven't figured out who I'm rooting for.
Don't root man just enjoy the show and find pleasure in whoever gets stacked
Daniel Mate.
My money is on Daniel.
i really wonder if dnegs is a better live player. i believe polk has the advantage online but this was disastrous for him
I know its unrealistic, but I kind of wish that they played their session all live in the challenge.
Announcer made a mistake at 7:54 ... he said Hellmuthian but he meant to say Heckmuthian. Just clearing that up.
I thought doug would've done a lot more over betting... are they capping stack sizes?
Nice slowroll on the last hand
“top 5 hands” aka daniels best hands 😂 he definitely got the best of doug live tho thats for sure
vanessa with the stone cold nuts AND the stone cold face. such a great heads up player
whens online one ?
how many hands are they playing for this challenge?
When was this?
Props to Daniel, he played that K9 hand perfectly. Here I am thinking “D Negs is way too nitty to ever shove this river after a 4bet flat pre + x/c x/c” then 💥🤯
That said, I think this match takes a very different turn when it moves online.
Thought the same probably his best played hand other than maybe checking the trip 6s
Online Doug P , is playng different game, the bch is using his computer cheats
@@sepa6388 the “bch”?
@@modestomouso1234 yea man, Doug P is a b i t c h , he only play good online poker, with the help of his computer, everybody knows it
ruthless
This was a great match, Daniel is bluffing a lot more than his normal game.
His opponent was bluffing quite often, while dnegs playing like scared money, playing tight creates a nit image and instead of just being a nit he takes advantage of that image and bluffs against his opponents weak holdings. Doug almost never strong bet with great holdings, and bet strong with weak hands. Easy tell for dnegs and Doug wasnt able to adapt cause as soon as he did dnegs went right back to being nitty
Daniel Negreanu the king of poker.
anyone got link to watch online
The truck had a flat tire in the first 200 hands. Maybe get a tire service before you start any more backing up!
you will see
To be fair this was like the hellmuth / esfandiari matches where Phil just ran much better than his opponent. Maybe better than Daniel ran but still; plus it was less than 1% of the hands.
@@alwaysstraddling what I saw was Polk playing scared and getting frustrated.
Yes he definitely played terrible and seemed like every spot he chose to bluff and bluff catch was wrong.
Only 24,800 hands to go lol this was 0.8% of hands to be played.
I’d actually just wanna be his apprentice for year and learn what he’s thinking
Mr negs is only thinking about one thing, Mr negs
in the end doug won all the money right? *after the online part (majority)*
anyone knows what the schedule is when they are starting playing online?
They played today, Dnegs lost over 200k
When I beat slumbot for the world record I limped K9off and such hands so I could just call a BB raise instead of three betting and getting in a three bet pot with reversed implied odds on my kings. Offsuit hands also give too many combos to the four bet range, which can make it uncontrollable.
Owned.
Variance can go either way in one session but over 20k hands it evens out and the person with the edge will come out on top.
It seems silly not to show the hands in chronological order as momentum is highly relevant,
They show the whole 3+ hours if you want to see the momentum.
@@ricobarth I saw that but after watching the highlights I don't have the motivation to sit through 3 hours of smaller pots.
Better then a 6; worse than a 10??

DANIEL 👍💪👏
I wonder how different the overall feud would be if it was in all in-person. I suspect the online poker takes away some of his edge as a player.
Did he said "kid polker"? on 7:04
Lets go Daniel
Polks best Durr impression haha
Question: at hand 193 where Negreanu is up 50k can't he just fold the rest of the hands till 200 and automatically win?
They played the first 200 of 25k hands live and the rest online. I think Dnegs won around $200k live and lost over a milly online and then there was a load of sidebets.
Dnegs should have did 2,500 live hands and 15,000 hands online
@@rooksman64 no it shouldn't. nobody is going to play 12.5k hands live, ever. they are playing online so they can actually get the bigger volume of hands, which is not possible if they did this challenge live completely.
@@DD-vc7fq
I cant believe they even said that. Wow
Negreanu is an old school hustler, forgot more about gambling than doug will ever know, doug might mechanically and mathematically beat him online with thousands of hands but in a one off live match starting off level id back negreanu all day every day
@@SumoCumLoudly I'd still back Doug as the favourite live since he'd bring the same strategy. The math doesn't change because you're live there's just more variance because you can't play as many hands. Daniel's probably better at crushing live recreational players though. I'd back Daniel if they were playing a 6 max sng with 4 recreational players.
"Daniel Negreanu Poker Highlights" never mind the 80k negative swing lmao these poker highlight vids crakc me up., always daniel, every single hand, despite polk being ahead lmao
Great poker ... Doug got a little to splashy at the end , Daniel made him pay 👍🏻
Doug has problem of not adjusting to Daniel's play. I was not a big fan of his play especially on the river. He played this match as if he was playing online and not properly adjusting how Daniel is playing. Maybe the he doesn't have much of mixing up in his game during the live match of NL heads up.
They both seem like very nice likeable people
