  • New Brunswick is a city in New Jersey and the seat of government of Middlesex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. A regional commercial hub for central New Jersey, the city is both a college town (the home of Rutgers University, the state's largest university) and a commuter town for residents commuting to New York City within the New York metropolitan area. New Brunswick is on the Northeast Corridor rail line, 27 miles (43 km) southwest of Manhattan. The city is located on the southern banks of the Raritan River in the heart of the Raritan Valley region.

    😂 @ that person going of on the phone about cleaning the kitchen. So Jersey.
    Anyway, I was raised in NJ (AC area) and have lived in NJ for a little more than half of my life, but this video is my first time ever seeing New Brunswick. There are so many places I've never been in my home state!

    You know what I like about the train station? It's the only edifice remaining from when I went to high school in '68. Entire blocks after blocks after blocks of New Brunswick's architecture and culture have been demolished and replaced with deadening nondescript boxes. It looks and feels so cold and absent of community now - perhaps the most devastating downtown decision in history. Or perhaps I missed a nuclear detonation?

    I would only come for a visit. New Jersey in general is too expensive for most people. The taxes and overall cost of living are enough to deter anyone from wanting to live there. 😐

      NJ is a very expensive place to live. 😢

    • @LaLaGrunge
      @LaLaGrunge 9 месяцев назад

      It’s too expensive because the state legislature and most counties are controlled by one political party monopoly. They’re obsessed with raising taxes and bulldozing green space for cheaply-made high-density housing, The pity is that so many people rubber stamp them with votes every election cycle.
