What about the webbing on the door and clearly would make the door stick but she can just rip right through that and ya don't ya think Peter would see a person in his room clearly that Spidey since needs a update or the multi million dollar suit can't be like oh yeah yeah some ones in your room
I mean disabled it probably just looks like a pile of red and blue clothes so even if she did see it she would probably just think it’s a new sweater or something.
Lol in the comics he's like "I gotta protect my identity to protect my family!" In this version hes like "Aunt May won't let me go out and do super hero stuff if she knows people are trying to kill me all the time"
It is pretty reasonable thing for Aunt May to think about tho. Normally people don't risk their lives in a daily basis. Spiderman's life deliberately draws in danger. So it is pretty rational to be worried for what's basically Aunt May's son almost
Well I mean, all the other aunt Mays would have stopped him from being Spider-man again since being spider man puts his life on the line, and Peter is supposed to be a high school kid which is super young to be doing things Spider-Man does. Also this aunt May ends up finding out anyways and look she still allows him to be Spider-Man so
Basically, all heroes know who Spider-Man is, so here is list of people who has an on-screen encounter with Peter & know that Peter is Spider-Man (in chronological order): - Tony Stark/Iron Man - Steve Rogers/Captain America - Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier - Sam Wilson/Falcon - James Rhodes/War Machine - Happy Hogan - Ned Leeds - Adrian Toomes/Vulture - Pepper Potts - May Parker - Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange - Peter Quill/Star-Lord - Drax the Destroyer - Mantis - Nebula - Thanos - Nick Fury - Maria Hill - Quentin Beck/Mysterio - Michelle Jones

I know people want to see or have more of a mention of Uncle Ben, but I appreciate the more subtle nods to him in the MCU. When Peter cites Aunt May as to why Ned can't say anything about the secret: "... after everything that's happened with her, please!".... You can tell by both Peter and Ned's expressions what that means, and THAT is what convinces Ned to keep the secret. I dig it!
I’m completely fine with nods to his origin without romanticizing it, since it’s been done before, but I’m glad we’re getting the Freshman Year animated series for those who feel like it’s necessary.
Fun fact Tom Holland took inspiration from Marty of the back to the future series for his way of saying dialogues They both use fast and squeaky voice in some dialogues in pressure situations
I love that, I always thought if they ever did another one (in like memory of it or something) Tom Holland should play Marty Bloody love that trilogy though
u know i really wish uncle ben wasnt in this movie and is he really referring to uncle ben if uncle ben is in the movie then this would just make the movie more trash
You can see his eyes watering at "with everything that's happened to her." I honestly enjoy how they dance around Uncle Ben. In real life, discussing a dead love one is a difficult subject, and sometimes it feels easier to not say their name. I feel it will add weight to it whenever Ben is brought up.
@@NEWahn hm that would be amazing, but idk it kinda seems weird imo... don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to hate or anything, but making him his uncle Ben seems a bit weird since he has spider powers in his own little universe, but please elaborate, cause I'm a bit confused with the whole multiverse stuff going around

You know what I just realized, meatloaf has always been in the Spider-Man movies. In homecoming Aunt May was making turkey meatloaf. In the Amazing Spider-Man, Aunt May made meatloaf for peter. And finally in 2002 Spider-Man, when he gets home late at night, Uncle Ben and Aunt May leave meatloaf in the oven for him to eat…
You’d think Peter’s Spider-Sense would have warned him about Ned’s presence. While it is true that Peter doesn’t consider Ned a threat, his Spider-Sense still warns him of things like someone about to blow his secret identity and the like. Maybe the Spider-Sense did warn him, but Peter interpreted it as a warning about May so he was oblivious to Ned being there.
Spider sense warnings are very particular. in comics, Peter can distinguish between different warnings and even uses it dodge several lasers and bullets at once. Ned is just not a threat. Spider sense warns of danger & there was no danger there
@@PabloRodriguez-ok8lg he always had spider sense, he just didn't understand it. Also spider sense only warns even the real Spider-Man of threats. If the spider sense doesn't think it's a threat, it won't warn him. That's how venom, Aunt May and others aren't detected by spider sense
You're cool in your friend's room waiting for you, and he comes in through the window while he's walking on the ceiling in the spiderman costume lol. I never get tired of seeing this scene
“I mean with everything that has happened to her...” Wow Homecoming only needed one line to touch on Uncle Ben’s death without having to do the whole origin scene
And the way Peter’s Voice breaks and tears start gathering in his eyes, you can see just how much it’s affected Peter, even if they didn’t do the whole death scene again (which I’m honestly glad about. After Sam Rami making us rewatch the fucking death scene in all three of his movies AND having to sit through Andrew Garfield’s Uncle Ben death I was honestly Ben fatigued at that point)
@@Edward_Nebiolo How the fuck would that foreshadow Tony’s death? Peter said, “I mean with everything that has happened to her.” That’s past tense. It already happened. Tony won’t die for years after this. Those lines had nothing to do with each other, especially since May barely knows him, and won’t be affected that much when he dies.

Hasn’t anyone noticed the way Ned’s attitude changed so fast when Peter mentioned “everything that’s happened” IE uncle Ben. Just from these small interactions we can gather how impactful it was on their lives even without seeing it. Great writing.
What I especially love is they avoided the whole trope of: "Omfg, why didn't you tell me? You LIED to me. You're not my friend," and instead turned it into: "... HOLY FFFF---!!! MY BEST FRIEND IS SPIDERMAN!! 🤩🤩🤩"
And you freaking serious?! All Spider-Man movies keep making the spider sense go on vacation! If the Spider-Man sense was really working, it would’ve tingled as soon as he thought about taking off his mask just now because since his identity is the most important his spider sense as gone adjusted to tingle when his identity is in crisis of being discovered!

I was wondering the same thing! I am terrified of spiders so if I saw webbing that detailed I would loose my freaking mind. I'd be big bombing the place immediately, and maybe a second time for good measure. Imagine if aunt may was scared of spiders and ever noticed his webbing.
@DMX WARRIOR A little late, but valuable input. However, my point still stands that if Aunt May didn’t notice the webbing in that hour and a half, then it would have dissolved before she could notice.

These movies get the dialogue between friends so well. Ned's so excited and practically teasing Peter about not being able to keep it a secret, but as soon as Peter gets serious about not wanting to worry Aunt May with all that's happened, he immediately gets serious too and agrees.
YES! It's the SUBTLE reference to Uncle Ben i appreciate. At this point, after how many reboots, we don't need the origin story. We get it. When Peter mentions "everything that's happened" to Aunt May, we know what that means, and Ned too understands. It's great.

The subtle references work well plus you know that he did lose an uncle Ben at one point
Also note that Peter puts on a sweatshirt too big for him, which was probably Uncle Ben's.

Maybe the Spider-Sense did warn him, but Peter interpreted it as a warning about May so he was oblivious to Ned being there.
