That Baby Blue Caddy convertible is absolutely gorgeous and in a stunning color to boot! As soon as I watched you and Papa Bear bring that out of it's storage cell, I started drooling!!! It is just beautiful!!!!
I have only seen one of these in person and it was almost if not 30 years ago it was a pale green one owned by a Canadian tourist visiting my long since deceased neighbors. I’ve never forgot it. This is an absolute crown jewel. I don’t know how you rate it in your collection, but I would definitely call it (based on what little I have seen) the pièce de résistance! Congratulations Sir!
Love the fact that you cared enough for us other “Cadillac guys” to show it to us! Who cares if you are selling it or not! You made me smile. Happy you found it my friend. Keep up the great videos.❤
I remember rainy days in Los Angeles. "It's raining!!" 😀 And in Astoria, OR "It's still raining" 😒 And in Casa Grande, AZ. "What the hell's THAT?? Water's droppin outta the SKY!" 😯😲
Absolutely Beautiful! I love these old Cadillacs and Lincolns. Thank you for saving these fantastic automobiles! Would love to have one but unfortunately medical bills come first..
Beautiful styling when the roof is up. Very nice styling belt line rear of the door. unusually perfect execution for a conversion. I am curious to see what it looks like with the roof down. I love that they chose this elegant pale blue and removed some of the chrome mouldings. Pure and elegant! Congrats!
Wow! I love the color combination and can only dream of owning a “one of a kind Cadillac Coupe De Ville convertible. Awesome find! For sure I would keep it in your collection if I were you.
My first car! 1982 Coupe DeVille. I was 16 and felt like a king behind the wheel. Only one in the school parking lot for sure… My love for boats has lasted ever since. Just got a 92 Roadmaster.
Love these Hess & Eisenhardt Le Cabriolets convertibles! Hess & Eisenhardt made a high quality aftermarket conversion for Cadillac from 1978 to 1982. It was estimated that there were somewhere between 200 to 300 made. The Cadillac Le Cabriolet is highly desirable! Highly collectible and a high quality conversion! If you find one buy it, restore it and drive it! If not let me know and I’ll buy it! $$$!
I don't blame you for not selling that one Anthony and Papa, that is definitely a keeper for you there, but please keep us updated with it, I would love to see it in later videos!!
Great find Anthony. I believe that most of your viewers would like to see progress videos of this car. I know I would. Hope your able to do this over time. Thank you.
@@specialtymotorcars Only one that went bad, I ran it in a Minnesota winter while my daily was in the shop. A radiator leak and it was 100% my fault. 4.1 isn't the Cimarron folks make it out to be.
Hi Anthony Hi Papa Bear when I was a kid back in the 60’s my friends Dad was a Funeral Director but also a Dealer for Hess and Eisehardt and Miller Meteor. So when were kids we played in all the Limousines and Hearses and the Ambulances. It was really cool and I know that the build quality on those cars from those companies are really good. The 4100 if they fixed the problems associated with them really is a good cruiser engine. Really neat cool find. Great Videos and Thank You 🙏
Happy to see this went to a good home. And I love that you share these with us, no matter if they are to be sold or not. The stories about the cars, what they meant to their owners, and documenting the repairs are why everyone digs what you do. And that should be one of Papa Bear's company cars! Enjoy it in good health sir
That's a beauty , I'm surprised they did this with a base coupe and not the d`elegance or a Fleetwood coupe. Don't blame you for keeping a rare bird like that. Keep up the solid work guys !
Hi Anthony and papa bear Awesome car I love all the Cadillacs and town cars You guys keep on the road these days Keep up the great work Maybe I'll be I'll Maybe I'll come to Maybe I'll be I'll come to New Maybe I'll come to New Hampshire from long island and meet you guys 1 day
Well Anthony you are 100% correct! It is an HT4100 engine. I purchased one of these cars brand new from Schuman Carriage Cadillac in Honolulu in 1982. Beautiful car to say the least. The early 80's models are my absolute favorite body style with Cadillac. All that said I would change the engine and transmission in the car. From my personal experience with the one I owned it was a nightmare and that's putting it politely. I'd drop a 350 engine mated to a turbo 400 transmission. Then you would have a car that is worthy of the name CADILLAC! After finishing up the interior problems you pointed out I'd park that car and only drive it on special occasions. You have an absolute masterpiece of a car in my opinion. I would also leave the back bumper guards attached. I think they look great on the car. If I'm ever in your neighborhood, I'd love to drop in just to view that car and just sit in it. I'd be like a four year old in a candy store .... lol
Anthony, I hope you make another video on this car once you have made the improvements it needs. Such a pretty car. If you make another video on this one, I will send you a Canadian tire flyer.😅
I’ve only seen one in my own lifetime in person and it was white on white don’t remember the year but beautiful car and thank you for sharing it !😎🇺🇸👍🏻🦅🦄
Enjoyed seeing this Cadillac so very much! When I purchase an automobile, my first choice is a convertible and the second is a station wagon. I always enjoyed seeing the Hess and Eisenhardt convertible conversions in the early 1980s that were in my hometown. One was an Oldsmobile Toronado and the other a Cadillac. My hope was that they would keep them long enough that I would be able to afford one or the other when they traded, but they both traded their cars before I finished college so I was not able to make that dream come true. After teaching school for seven years, I acquired a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible in 1992 from its original owners and own that car to this day -- it will turn 89,000 miles this summer. It is the dark metallic blue with white leather and top. Its original top is due for replacement this summer as it has shrunk to the point that it is nearly impossible to latch the header locks so I haven't lowered for over a year. The original HT4100 wasn't very good for me as it had a defective crankshaft that disintegrated while traveling 55 MPH on the highway just six months after I acquired the car (it only had 49,000 miles). I had the original HT4100 replaced with an improved Good Wrench version according to my local Cadillac dealer -- I know there were some differences as the valve covers from my original engine wouldn't fit the new one. I am hoping that you will post a short video when you have completed your refurbishment on this beautiful Cadillac -- I am sure that it must be handsome with the top down and the boot cover installed.
It's a beautiful car, there not a thing wrong with showing a car that's not being sold, you're sharing your love and passion for cars, you're a car guy. That's good.
Tell you what, Anthony - you have found a beautiful and special car for yourself. To be blunt, if some people want to complain about the 4100 engine, or that you are going to keep it for yourself, or that you shouldn't have put it on your site because you aren't going to sell it...... that is probably them showing their jealousy because you have the car and they don't. Enjoy the car - you deserve it - you work hard and your videos of cars you do have for sale are scrupulously honest in all respects. I, for one, really enjoy your videos and look forward to each one you post. All the best, and enjoy your new car in the upcoming warm weather! Best to Papa Bear as well!
Very cool car. Even with the where it is still an attention grabbing vehicle. Will definitely be of interest to people at car shows. Congratulations on the purchase. Looks like you had a great time with Papa Bear too!
Can’t wait to see how it looks when you guys get done. I had an 83Deville a long time ago and had a 4100 in it back then I don’t think we knew that they were bad if they really are I don’t know but I never had any trouble with the one I had.
This might be one of your best finds every!. "TOTAL CLASSIC"!.. Like it when you come across these beauties and bring them back to showroom condition! Hope you enjoy this convertible with your family for many years!.. Thanks for sharing this with us!
what a beauty. Thank you for sharing, guys. I have a similar storage unit with the same company as in this video. my monthly payment for the storage went up 65 dollars per month! just last month. i see why folks are selling.
What an awesome automobile masterpiece! I would keep it too! I love love love these 77-92 Cadillacs!! I'm looking forward to driving my '90 Brougham d' Elegance, more this year! What a fitting day to watch this video......I'm wearing my Specialty Motorcars Cadillac Brougham shirt right now!! What a score Anthony! Congratulations!! I hope to get at least one of my holy grail Cadillacs one day (1981 Coupe or Sedan Deville in Neptune Aqua, with white top and leather interior, '81 Seville wearing Neptune Aqua, a '56 Cadillac ambulance, '59 Cadillac ambulance and a '77/'78 Eldorado Biarritz oh and so many more! Lol)
Hey Anthony and Papa Bear good to see you guys added it again I like the color on that Cadillac you don’t see too many of those with a color👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏾
Great find, Anthony! I am a loyal owner of Town Cars- However- your robin egg blue Caddy convertible is classy and unique for that period. Nothing like a big wheelbase rude and luxury interior. Good that you have the chrome pieces for interior rehab- but overall, I think the aftermarket conversion is excellent and “factory” look is kept. Papa bear did great on driving it and he does look like he belongs in it!😃
So, it was put in storage to keep it out of the elements only to drop the top and let in the elements! Love what you guys do with these American luxury cars of the past.
What a find, and so good of you to promise the seller you'd keep and care for it. I'm a little surprised the 4100 was that early too, neat car. Replace the faded trim pieces or not, but that's quite the car for your collection, thanks for sharing it with us and looks like you have plans to keep driving it.
Beautiful car, I noticed how the doors closed before you mentioned it. I agree that the bumper guards should go and I hope you repair the right door armrest as the cracks are a thing with me. :) Thanks for sharing.
great find for you and papa bear! if you maintain that engine and dont mind taking a full day to get to 65mph on the highway, the HT4100 was probably one of the smoothest engines Cadillac made. i wish it was still the original blue color. the '85 Eldorado convertibles in Hataras blue were beautiful. That blue with your white top and white interior would be awesome!
Wow, an '82 Vert! With only 20Kish miles? I can only say it landed in the right hands. I really like the baby/robin egg blue, but because I like original it would have been a knockout in the medium blue with that white interior/white vert top. Congrats on that find, for sure! I was wondering where you were at today, a 1990 Brougham D'Elegance was a No Reserve on BAT this afternoon, close by me in Richmond VA and it went for less than $9K! (76K miles and accident in rear though). You could have handled that too. And I finally got my Travel Star Un106's installed on my '05 TC Signature yesterday. A local tire place was able to get them and match Walmarts price! Next day service to boot. Surprisingly they ride better and handle better than the Michelins that were on it! Looking sharp like a "Specialty" Lincoln now buddy!
Absolutely beautiful Cadillac. I love the color of blue, looks with the sunlight shining on it. I don't blame you Anthony for not wanting to sell it, I definitely wouldn't if obtained a car like this. I'm glad you are keeping since let of nice cars go, though I know that's your business, but you deserve to keep some every now and again! Great video Anthony!
Makes for a great day when a car like this finds you instead of searching. You always seem very fair and honest. Can picture this car sliding on a dirt road in a Dukes of Hazzard episode.
U hit the jackpot my guy....This car has been very well taken care of its definitely sold to the right person cause I see how u take care of your other cars....U right I definitely won't sell it but somebody will give u a pretty penny definitely...jsn...U did that my guy...I enjoy your channel keep up the good work ...
One of my favorites. I purchased a baby Eldorado Biarritz last year here in Arizona that is so beautiful that folks stop, turn around and chase me down to ask about it. It is an 88 Cotillion White with Cinnabar leather interior. I just dumped a bunch of money into it as I took it to my mechanic and had him fix anything that looked like it may need maintained or repaired. What a joy to drive. Entire engine and trans has been resealed to include head gaskets. I am 78 and will drive her till I die.
I love, love, love, the baby blue. My Mom would have loved it. That was her favorite color and she loved Cadillacs and had several new ones. I wish she was alive to show her this one. I agree about the bumper guards. Also, I would use it. It would be a shame not to enjoy something so unique and beautiful. You can tell it was loved.
I saw one if these when I was attending Norwich University Volunteer in Vermont back in 83 - 87. It was on Amuni weekend, and driven by one of the Alums and his wife. I had always, and still do love Cadillacs. We had a beautiful 74 Sedan DeVille, that was gold with a brocade interior. I rarely got to drive it, but dad would let me for special occasions, like dances and proms. Once I got established in my career, Cadillac Fleetwoods were my choice, I'm a big guy at 6'4". My first was a 1991, then my 2nd was a 1996, which was my favorite car ever. Although I always dreamed about a 59 Fleetwood, sedan or convertible, I wasn't picky. Enjoy your new elegant, beautiful starlet. Im sure you'll treat her like the Grand Lady she is.
One of my 4100 Eldorados ran to 317,000. Never downshifted hard, never "floored it," always carefully maintained it.
And that's why. Class dismissed.
HT4100 change the coolant yearly put the cork pellets in it and you'll never have a problem with it.
That Baby Blue Caddy convertible is absolutely gorgeous and in a stunning color to boot! As soon as I watched you and Papa Bear bring that out of it's storage cell, I started drooling!!! It is just beautiful!!!!

Whoa, Le Cabs are my favorite Cadillacs. Nice grab.
And I don't know why the 4100 catches so much hate. I've had 6 and only one went bad. Simply replaced it with a Olds 350.

Make sure to use the GM coolant sealer pellets in that engine. Are the climate control, fuel data panel and radio displays not working?
I like the Riviera and the Ultra Papa Bear 🐻
Hello Rich those are nice also. Papa 🐻.
Beautiful Caddy.! Great find.! Despite the low miles, I would replace the plastic cam sprocket due to probably hard and brittle wich makes it crack.
Wow, super cool car! I love Cadillac, I owned a '69 Eldorado for years (at the time didn't realize how beloved they were) loved it!
Keep up the good work... thanks for keeping us crazy in the loop
Makes for a great day when a car like this finds you instead of searching. You always seem very fair and honest. Can picture this car sliding on a dirt road in a Dukes of Hazzard episode.
Don't even dare to sell that car!! That truly is a rare diamond of a gem!!!
Congratulations. Beautiful car.
Thank God you got this instead of some jamoke.
It will stay just as beautiful as she is forever!

Wow Anthony. You find the greatest cars.
Wreath and Crest on the front. Not just a crest. Nice touch ❤
Sweet catch ! She's a keeper! 🇺🇸🫡
Anthony, you don't have to explain urself. It's a great looking car and a keeper. So u and dad or you wife enjoy. Can't wait to see it fully cleaned
Congratulations on your rare fine and I would keep it as well! Would love to see a video series if bringing this rare car back to life.

Totally fits Papa Bear!
Thank you Jaime one for me. Papa 🐻
Not sure how the volunteer showed up in my comment. I hate auto corrupt.
She is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Papa Bear enjoy your new company car
Hi Anthony, enjoying my 2011 Buick Lucerne! Don M
Great find. My father had a 79 in the blue with white interior.
