After nine months, the beast is here!
Although I could improve as a host, for my first complete map, it’s safe to say I’m proud of it.
Thank you to all of the talented artists who took time to make this happen.

This map makes me so sad.
Ashfur is my favorite character, so seeing him devolve makes me feel so bad for him.
I do like his dance with Hollyleaf though.
THAT DANCE BETWEEN HOLLYLEAF AND ASHFUR WAS AMAZING- AND THE BRINDLEFACE DEATH SCENE- AND THE FIRE SCENE- AND THE CREDITS SOMG OMG THAT MADE MY DAY- THIS WAS AMAZING!
OML I VE THIS SONG AND THIS WAS AMAZING! And I love the thought that hawkfrost made ashfur the craziest and it wasn't just squirrelflight! It was hawkfrost getting revenge on brambleclaw

The concept is so interesting!! And i was surprised to see their relationship depicted as pretty one sided, but honestly, it's a little refreshing to see that their relationship could be an unhealthy one too if circumstances came to that.
Hawkfrost haunting Ashfur and luring him on while Ashfur is still pained and distracted over Squirrelflight is something i can totally see!!
Everyone did an amazing job on this
This looks so awesome! Also thank you for showing there " relationship" like how it actually would be unlike most of the fandom! hawkfrost is a manipulative jerk who manipulated ashfur, that's not a healthy relationship like most people show.

I just liked how you incorporated all of the map’s themes, and the four major characters-
It’s literally so creative, I absolutely adore the composition.
HAWKFROST THAT'S NOT HOW YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TREAT YOUR BOYFRIEND
Personally ashfur and brambleclaw should have gotten together instead of hawkfrost lol
ITS DONE- OH MY GOD I DIDNT KNOW- I ALSO LOVE HOW ASHFUR DANCES WITH HOLLYLEAF BEFORE GETTING KILLED, OVER ALL ITS AMAZING.
I feel like if the books gave him more humanity/human traits like in this map, readers could really feel for Ashfur, having a mix of sympathy and hatred for him. When you make a character that is supposed to be bad/evil have humanity and the ability to relate to the reader, the character feels better and more real and thats why I love this MAP.
This is an incredible depiction of giving a character human traits to be more real and I love it. Keep up the good work everyone!

THIS IS AMAZING!! Been so hyped for this MAP for a while :D
This Au is really cool and also works really well to develop Ashfur a bit more. I honestly really think that it would be really cool to get a Novella or even a Super Edition of Ashfur's perspective of his side and I think this is a really interesting and believable way the Erin's could do it (Likely not as edgy though, I can't see them going as far as having Ashfur wanting to take death berries especially when he becomes Lionpaw's mentor).
As a sort of add on to the idea too, it gives more of a reason why Lionblaze was chosen out of the original 3 to train with Tigerstar and Hawkfrost in the dark forest. Just as Ashfur tries to leave after Hawkfrost's death, he could be manipulated by Hawkfrost to stay because Hawkfrost is kinda the only one who I feel Ash could turn to at this point. Hawkfrost then has his sights set on Lionpaw with him being Ashfur's apprentice and maybe using Ashfur to try to manipulate Lionblaze into being on the side of the dark forest (which would at least give Lionblaze a biiit more character development lol. I know he kinda does this already but Ashfur could be more involved in the Dark Forest training early on and gives Lionpaw more of a reason to think that he's doing the right thing by training with them. It also can lead to their more hostile fight later on too where Lionpaw confronts Ashfur about the dark forest cats and doesn't think that he can get through to him unless if he uses his claws. Hawkfrost could convince Ashfur to do this too by hitting him in his guilty conscious saying that he was the one who let him die and if he had saved him from Brambleclaw so he owes him this much and make it seem like a win/win situation).
Maybe Hawkfrost could also be the one to manipulate Ashfur into madness by making him believe that "Squirrelflight's" kits were actually his (I can't remember if this was cannon or just my own take on the fire scene... honestly, it's been years since I have read it haha). Ashfur could want to just move on and want nothing more to do with her, but Hawkfrost pretty much haunts him by saying things like how the kits look and act more like his then Brambleclaw's, how Squirrelflight was with him at the time and not Brambleclaw, how his kits deserve to know the truth, ect.
Maybe Hollyleaf overhears Ashfur talking to Hawkfrost by the river (which makes sense because of Hawkfrost being a river clan cat and having died by the lake and having connections to the water. It could even be Ashfur yelling at the river or maybe moving him down to the lake where Hawkfrost died) where he confronts him for lying and manipulating him. This is where Hawkfrost could suggest or give Ashfur the idea of telling the clans about the 3, trying everything to keep Ashfur angry to not to lose his grip on him and Ashfur is tired of his lies and manipulation and tells him he wants nothing to do with him or the dark forest anymore and how his manipulation corrupted him and caused him more pain and heartache then ever before. Hollyleaf mistakes the conversation as Ashfur talking to himself about telling the clans about what he had just discovered and jumps to conclusions, confronting and killing him by the river.
While I love the power of three books, I feel like there are so many gaps that could be filled so easily. Granted I still have not read A Vision of Shadows or A Broken Code yet so I'm not sure if any of this goes against things brought up in those series, but I just really like Ashfur and I think he has so much potential for his motivations and his side to be explored a bit more. Especially after seeing how the Erin's have been doing a really great job recently creating some really interesting and intricate characters with Mapleshade's novella and now having characters like Clearsky and Starflower, and I'm sure more in the new series. I would love to see them go back and go more into some of the other morally grey or villains in the books like Ashfur, Darkstripe and Longtail (I think them having a super edition together would be incredible and a good parallel between the two!), Hawkfrost, ect. and just develop them more and go into why they did what they did.
