I was at the premiere screening of ‘Mystify’ where Richard Lowenstein presented the film and also had a few questions asked by the audience. He also mentioned special thanks to certain people involved and also mentioned that Rhett was in the audience. We (the audience) applauded and watched ‘Mystify’. I laughed, I cried, I reminisced about my teenage idol and it brought me back to my INXS fan days. It was only when the lights came on, I saw that Rhett was sitting in the row directly in front of me! I didn’t have an opportunity to say anything to him, but it certainly was a surprise he was sitting so close! 😯 RIP, Michael…you (still) mystify me 😿💔❤️
I'm actually switching off... interested in what Rhett has to say but cant listen to the interviewer talk over him all the time...and trying to story top. We don't give a crap about ur life we want to hear about Rhett's
We wanted to hear more from Rhett ! NOT the interviewer disrespectfully taking over him ! Interviewers normally do research …this bloke didn’t about inxs ! Smdh much love Rhett from the uk ❤ and rip Michael ❤xx
Great show! Very interesting conversation! Rhett, so incredibly pleased for you. It seems that you are in such a great place & state of mind now. Your art work & yours and Vera's skull business is captivating! On a separate note, I'm horribly sorry for the loss of your big brother, your mom, & your dad. It must've been tragic. Thank you for speaking so respectfully of Michael. It's true that Michael's death seems mysterious. Like you said, maybe only things that he & God will ever truly know; however, It's beautiful you are willing to turn over stones & inquire. Very strange cross- hatch of circumstances. Additionally, I completely agree that Michael would have been still working for social justice, through lyrics, interviews, & through the use of a technology platform. Fortunately for us, he was ahead of his time, & he left us with some truths. May God bless you & yours! I wish you all things wonderful, & happy your life has gotten sweeter in some ways, with age & wisdom. It seems as if this is your time now. ✌️💀
Rhett seems like a decent guy but the pratt conducting the interview needs to learn how to conduct an interview, instead of constantly cutting Rhett off or speaking over him
Rhett does look like Micheal. It was sad when Micheal passed. He seemed to be a sweet guy. I guess the only good part of Micheals death is he will be forever young. Drugs ruin so many lives. Good for Rhett for being able to stop drugs. Bali is a beautiful place. I pray Rhett will have a happy rest of his life
25:15 How the hell do you, as a supposed fan of INXS, not know that KICK was the band's SIXTH album, as well as say that 'everybody' had their first album? Their self-titled debut album was released in 1980 on a small Australian independent label called Deluxe Records, and at the time, was not released outside of Australia. Hell, it didn't even achieve Gold certification in Australia until after INXS' major label debut Shabooh Shoobah, which itself went Gold in America, and that was only after the band signed to Atlantic (specifically Atlantic subsidiary Atco Records) for releases in North America, PolyGram in the UK & Europe, and WEA (Warner-Elektra-Atlantic) in Australia & Asia, which was legendary manager Chris Murphy's brilliant strategy for negotiating different distribution deals in different territories, which helped the band earn millions they wouldn't have otherwise had they signed to just one label internationally
Totally agree with you, Kreemo, you’d also expect an interviewer to do basic research and to know that INXS comprised 6 members, three of which are brothers. The fact that almost every song was written by Andrew AND Michael is very well documented. Finally, he said that “we’re not here to talk about Michael, we’re talking about you, cos you’re a very interesting guy”. Half the discussion is about Michael!
Shabooh Shoobah was the first INXS album I bought. I knew there were more when I bought Shabooh, but I didn't know how many more. I loved Kick, but still preferred Shabooh over Kick.
This interview COULD HAVE been a very special, informative, super interesting and near-perfect one!! .... Alas- the moderator (interviewer?) was far too rude & obnoxious to allow Rhett Hutchence to simply finish a thought. Rhett was in excellent form here. This really was an almost tragic podcast (or interview?). One that COULD HAVE BEEN something special. Absolutely by no fault of Rhett's!
Shocking how the mother took one kid and not the other especially with no warning. He's a survivor. It can't have been easy for him...... Interviewer needs to listen and give him time to speak instead of talking over him. He literally doesn't listen. Brutal interviewing skills. Lots of times he was speaking and explaining and he cut across with another question. Maybe it's nerves or maybe it's lack of interest. Either way it's bloody rude.
p.s. aforementioned Rat 'Plague' is a little famous for delivering hammer via a small remote controlled car around Surry Hills NSW circa... 19xx ? um ? (over to you Rhett 😇) best, Phil
What an absolute charming man ! I too lost a good 30 years to addiction. Lovely to hear your now comfortable in your own skin. I love your laugh. Im so sorry you lost your brother. Its sounds like you are having a remarkable life. It was a pleasure to meet you. You are an incredible man and I wish we had had a little more Rhett. Good luck to you honey
I think the Stevie Wonder thing was him trying to react to Paul McCartney passing by, and the mic stand fell coincidentally. You can tell the peole next to him are clearly the ones rushing picking up the mic stand.

He looks nothing like Michael. Rhett looks like his father. He's never looked like Michael.

Brother the Michael Hutchence 👏👏❤🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Nice to see Rhett well!
Rhett i wish you all the very best, much love. Nigel you need to learn not to cut off someone while they are talking.
Who is the interview about? Rhett or the interviewer?
Rhett could do voice over work. He's got a great voice

Rhett has such a wonderful voice, So cartatic c to listen too.
Mick Hucknell didn't write Money's Too Tight.
Lovely to hear from you Rhett
Condolences on ur brother mate.
Very sad.
Anyone that voices an opinion is destroyed these days.

Paul Bartel was the Director and Roger was the Producer (Death Race 2000).

What a great interview!! ❤ love the rat story!! Ben!!
Great podcast! Rhett…I’d love to see you guest on a whole lot more….ideally here in the UK! ✌️
That interviewer needs to shut up and let Rhett speak..
worst interviewer i've ever heard in my entire life. every time Rhett had something of worth to say, he was interrupted by this guy.
You need to do your research before you interview
your brother supported you
The interviewer Omg , just shut up and research , i mean don't even know how many people were in the band
Hope you're doing well Rhett
