    • @Boris82much

@@roxannemoser Threatened isnt the right word. They were big fans of each other and their work and the Stones even helped to produce Michael's first solo album. There wasn't competition just admiration and friendship on all sides. Jagger took notes the first time he saw Hutchence in action.

They have a great original sound but "best ever"? These guys aren't even good enough to wash Zeppelin's feet. I'd respect if someone said they were the best of the 80s but they don't have the talent or depth to rival so many other bands.

My mother was absolutely in love with this man. I remember she would use his last name when she would order pizza from Pizza Hut! Lmfaooo. She went to all their concerts around us she could. Had his posters all over her walls like a teenager would. I had to grow up listening to every tape they made over and over every time a tape player was around! Yea I’m from the tape playing era!! I ended up liking very many of their songs. I never thought he was good looking then. I was crazy in love with Tommy Lee of Motley Crue and Bret Michaels of Poison.. now I see he was very handsome. My mom would die seeing me admit that, lol!! I loved One Thing.. She even got crazy about Australia. Any band that came from there, actor and movie she was all into. Even went there for vacation just because Michael was from there. My mom was very upset when Michael passed. I remember she called me crying . I thought a family member had died.. Bless her heart. She lived only couple years after him. She had a massive heart attack outta nowhere. I always hoped she got to meet Michael in Heaven. Knowing her after seeing her daddy first he was probably second no doubt.. R.I.P. Mom and Michael!❤

      Fun fact
Michael NEVER had brain lesions - think about it - the family would have seen it in the coroner reports as they always had full access. The brain lesions were first talked about by Colin Diamond in July of 98, when he called them brain bruises and again in 99 in Vincent Lovegrove's book. The press quickly said it was a lie to counter the lies about Michael that Bob and his press buddies were pushing after michael died. Helena has NEVER said anything about brain lesions and in an interview in the Syndey Sunday herald - April 99 (newspaper.com)- she said she NEVER heard anything of brain lesions and that when he said he got the MRI she wasn't with him
Michael told EVERYone of the concussion back in 93 and that it impacted his olfactory nerves and caused a skull fissures - small crack - no lesions.
Recall Paula originally threatened to sue for the kinky sex death rumor and said there was no sexual activity going on and that the coroner ruled it a suicide - see freelibrary Speaking on Paula's behalf last night, her lawyer Anthony Burton slammed the "scurrilous and grossly irresponsible speculation" that kinky sex played a part in Hutchence's death. He insisted: "There is no evidence whatsoever to support this." The whole story of her screaming about kinky sex at a hotel restaurant to two police detectives, was also proved a lie BOTH former detectives said the article misquoted them. One has a linked in account currently and repeatedly saids that with an ongoing investigation - as it was just after Michael died - even off the record, they would have had to report what she said - and she never said anything of Michael sexual actvity - but kept blaming Bob and his influence in the press.
For 3 months after Michael died she said "Bob killed my baby" and said Bob drove Michael to suicide. She later had to change the story to avoid a law suit from Bob or him taking her kids - which he did anyway. He NEVER let her see her girls after her suicide attempt in 98.
Bob wasn't upset about a broken heart - he and Jeanne were already together from 94 according to Paula and she accused Bob of having numerous affairs. He was upset that she compared him unfavorably to Michael in her book and then it escalated to jabs in the press - her getting Gerry Agar to say Bob was abusive to counter the negative press against her that she felt Bob was behind.
Bob has for YEARS been trying to distance himself from the fact that he was the LAST person to talk to Michael. there's no police statement from Kym or her boyfriend or from Michelle Bennett. Think about it! The story is that Michelle told him take the day off, that he gave a message to the front desk to tell the manger he wasn't coming in (but didnt call the manger directly?), and the manager supposedly told Martha that he got the message around 8 am - HOWEVER, the band were all waiting for him at the studio when they got the message that he died - around noon. THEY said they received a call from the manager that he was called into the police stations about Michael and they weren't sure why yet. The band were all filmed leaving the studio after they got the news of his death and never said they got a message he wasn't coming in.
Bob knows what he and the press did to Michael and the deflection and hate he's spun for years is now laid bare.

INXS stood out so much more in a different way throughout their Career. Their music was so pure sounding. Brilliantly written. Live performances were just gold! A world without INXS and their music just wouldn't be the same. It's like we needed them through a certain period growing up and we got them. It's sad we lost one of the greatest frontman singers that ever existed. RIP Michael 🙏 You are greatly missed.

Terrence Trent Darby was someone Michael said he admired, and when he sang with inxs, I pictured it as a Kennedy center honors type thing, I think Michael would absolutely be honored and brought to tears by that performance. I like Jon Steven's some of his performances but I wasn't a fan of jd.

SO MANY bands owe much of their success to MTV: INXS, U2, most of the big 80s bands, new age bands, etc. While I was already familiar with the band because their music was played in clubs I went to, I still remember seeing "Original Sin" for the first time on MTV, and was BLOWN AWAY. All of their videos were just so cool, and of course the music was/is amazing. Loved them hard back then. Still do, but without Michael... just sad. I also may be the only one who has never liked "Never Tear Us Apart." #sorrynotsorry

Severe depression from all the bad press and Geldof and Yate's lies. Look up Catherine Mayer's Paula Yates. She says that Michael called her only a few days before he took his life, crying so hard she could barely make out what he was saying.
Also, although Paula would later support the press invented kinky sex death lie for money, she originally was really upset about it. She said it was a lie and that he was never into tying her up or sex clubs (Said to Q mag Jan 6 98). She originally said she felt Bob drove him to suicide and said "I blame Bob" "Michael snapped after 3 years of torment." She also goes into detail in "The Police Statement of Paula Yates".
Brain injury, prozac etc - all irrelvant. He was being tormented by shady financial people whom he was arguing with at the time, Paula, Bob and worst - the British Tabloids

For those of us with the old mags & subs to archived articles we know Paula ORIGINALLY ANGRILY DENIED THAT IT WAS ER0TIC GAMES. She said originally AND in the police report (which she never officially challenged dispiite tell the press later that she would) said he was depressed because of all the legal wrangling and believed he took his life. It was only later when blamng her ex in the tabliods, led to backlash with people blaming her, calling her a manipulator - that she changed her story. Originally she called mags to deny & complain about the seex game theory. Here's 1 from Jan 1998 -" Yates SLAMS RUMOR-MONGERS in emotional phone call to Q. In an emotionally-charged call to Q -"It (his death) is killing us & killing my oldest daughter, without dealing with (stories suggesting) Michael was having a w-nk on a door - HE WASN'T!" SHE SAID. In the heated 10-min phone call, Yates said: "The police said there was no s-xual activity going on. Hutchence & Yates had never tied each other to the bed - they had a futon. Hutchence had not belonged to an S-M group. Gerry Agar, the widely-quoted friend of the family had "never been employed by me, we met through the school run". Yates said there were a further "50 points of absolute inaccruacies" which she promised to communicate through her lawyer. No such list had appeared by press time."

So lovely to see how INXS became the great band they were, and that each one of them saw the music in a different way. And then bringing it all together ...it just worked !!! Great musical talents, the best ever....and all fronted by a genius great singer, and frontman !!! Micheal could have done so much more for music, they all could together ! A much missed beautiful man. But thank you INXS for keeping 'real' music alive.

No one has been able to do it. The closest was Jon Stevens from Noiseworks (another amazing Aus/NZ act). Truely had MH's heart in it too.
Terence Trent Darby had a crack....but, it's the classic case of a lyric written by an emotion that cannot be fully replicated... and the lads knew it.
Just love that I get to hear "Never tear us apart" before my fav footy team,. INXS forever.

Andrew, we all know that you carried all the weight in INXS. You're a musical genius. Michael brought a kind of lyrical talent and a wonderful voice that only happens once in a million people. I saw you guys every time you were in Kansas City Missouri. The first time was in a dive bar in Wichita, Kansas, where I went to college. I never missed a tour. I have everything on vinyl and CD, and you all deserve to be inducted. Should've happened already, but this time we'll get you in. Much love to all of you, and Michael still lives in our hearts, too. I'm almost 60 years of age, and I still listen to your music. INXS always made me feel better about life.😘😘😍

I met Michael in '87. He was very kind, endearing and thoughtful. Also very intoxicating. I've never before or since exchanged so much personal information about myself! I told him things that no one else knows...not even friends I've had for 40 years! Only problem was, I thought he was just another Australian trucker. I had no idea the guy with the sexy accent was THE Michael Hutchence. Still kicking myself for that one! He seemed to be like any of the many Australian men I met in the 80's.
True gentlemen. A bit of an Ego, but the first to admit it. I can't picture any of them asking for help with anything. That being said, I don't think he was long for this world after he was attacked.
Michael's TBI was very severe. I imagine him being in need of constant companionship to help keep erratic thoughts from driving him to doing what he did. But I got the sense he was not the kind of man who would tolerate being babysat or restrained. This is just my opinion of the man I met, and regret not knowing who he was at that time. After that, I've always a person who they were and if they were a lead singer in one of the best funk/rock/motown bands ever!
      ✌❤🤘🎶
