- Un documental sobre y respecto a la figura del líder de la banda australiana INXS.
NOTA: Para mi (......) esta bien. No por las nubes pero bueno dándole una oportunidad para éste documental que me ha parecido el más interesante de tantos que hay . Pero es INXS es Michael Hutchence y debe estar aquí.

If there was such a thing as in love from a far, that's what I felt. But then again, everyone was with Michael. No one can replace. So missed.

Poor guy just got lost in the shuffle. I think he really suffered from severe depression. I don't think anyone knew how bad it was.

It was the hate from the press and horrible people around him.
Recall Simon Lebon writes the song "Michael you have a lot to answer for" saying Michael should "stop wanting to be" and criticizing him for helping Paula. Recall Paula accused Bob of trying to put her on the street and Michael offered a place to stay and was helping her so she could afford to care for her kids.
Lebon - Bob's buddy - says in interviews that Michael should mind his own business. The song was NOT a fan song or about drugs as he'd later try to say. People can see the old interviews. Lebon was cruel to Michael.
The song was released Oct 14th, the coroner found that Michael ended up going to the hospital for therapy on the 17th and renewed his prozac Oct 30th. He took off to LA to spend a few weeks with his girlfriend Erin. While Paula frantically tried to get Bob to let her try living in Australia for a few weeks before and after Xmas (see The Police Statement of Paula yates)
Michael didn't have to be in LA, the band had finished the US leg of their tour in September and he wasn't due in Australia for a few weeks. He was photographed at the Viper club on Nov 5th. Happy in LA and iwth his new girlfriend of 6 months, he never wanted to return to England.
He was so depressed he called friend Catherine Meyer a few days before he died "crying so hard.." she could barely make out what he said. He was worn down by the torment from the press and lies. Its in her online article.
Lebon also cruely said he thought Michaels death was a mistake, even though it was repeatedly proven to be suicide.

Just because the song was negative doesn't mean it was upsetting to Michael.
Problem is - and Simon may not have known that Michael was pretty much dragged into the divorce.
Michael gave Paula a place to stay so she wouldn't be on the street and later gave Bob his Cheyne street apartment so Bob could give Paula back her house to sell.
True, if Michael did nothing, he wouldn't be involved but Paula would have lost her bid to get custody of her kids. She had lost her tv job that Bob produced and lost her editor job.
Colin Diamond - Michael's laywer - also didn't want Michael giving her anymore millions and he and Paula were fighting until after Michael died. Then Paula makes Diamond Tiger's godfather and she is able to pay her bills and buy a home. Diamond said to the press that they were getting along again after Michael passed. Looks like Paula got what she wanted. Look up Dailymail Tragic Paula's House for sale. After Bob got custody of Tiger - so she could be raised with her sisters - he sold the home. So at least Tiger hopefully got some money from her Dad's estate via the millions her mom received.
@@ClaraJones-wq8du His brain injury had everything to do with it. He lost his sense of smell and taste. I believe because of this, he made extremely bad choices. Something I have been curious for a while is why was there nobody helping him at all? I understand one is responsible for one's life. But then again, seeing how seemingly 'close' his family and friends were with one another, this came as a bit of surprise.... that they couldn't predict or understand how risky or destructive he became after that particular injury.
@@Qwerty-db1js Michael always was alone,her parents split up when he was a teenager,and he recovered his relationship with them after her dad married again in 1986, sometimes I think that they were a little selfish with Michael,he needs a lovely family,but he never had a family,only when he try with Paula,her daughters and TigerLily their child,I read that in his last months of his life he was close with his dad Kell and his stepmother Sussie,and for that after Michael's and Paula's death Kell and Sussie decided that Bob Geldof got Tiger's custody,because she after lost both parents she needs grow up with a family,to difference of Michael's childhood,with divorced parents,Bob and Jeanne Marine provided a stability,and lovely parents who loves their so much,I hope that TigerLily never forget to her biológical parents

that was a drug that "caused " suicide, it did not prevent it...!
and he never took the meds consistently...

He was responsible for his own drug use and abuse, no one else...
He had been a food and wine connoisseur
But, because he lost smell and taste, he started guzzling alcohol...
He also wasn't faithful to Paula...
she was in LA and he was with a young woman...! In LA
He flew off to Australia, and she had to go back to the UK....
custody problems, over Bob's girls....
And, it was too late....
After a skinfull of drugs, alcohol and dreadful news...about Paula having to remain in the UK....

I loved Michael, but the crush of the band for me was Kirk Pengilly.

Greg exaggerated the Copenhagen story for some reason. He admits he wasn't there, so he's taking what others said and adding a drunk and violent image - nice "friend".
Both Helena and Colin Diamond said he wasn't drunk and they had just come back from her parents place. Colin Diamond first talked about it in 1998 and was the first to note that Michael had two brain bruises - he called them - on his autopsy report. Colin speculated that they came from the Copenhagen incident. (NewsExtra July 1998)
Helena and Michael were standing on a small side street, sitting on their bikes, eating pizza. The cab sped into the side street, screeched to a halt when he almost hit them, furious, he got out as Michael was cumbersomely trying to move the bike to the side while still straddling the bike, holding food in one hand and holding the handlebars with the other. The cabbie and he didn't argue because Michael didn't speak Danish. Within seconds of jumping out of his cab, he punches Michael in the head.
Exactly! That is what Helena explained. And he was visiting the hospital but didn´t want that journalists would write nasty things again about him. It is not good but how can you know if people talk bad about you already when you did nothing wrong. Michael wanted to protect himself but did not know what would follow. It is sad but he surched for new ways to live and found that as good as it could be. Within time he would cure and found new goals as he always did. But one mistake, while feeling so sad and o so tired and having medicine and alchohol made that new goal dissapear. Now he slid away and will find a way to come alive and love again...

Imo, this video's subtitle should be "Michael's TBI changed his life -- and destiny."
It's criminal that the source of Michael's inner turmoil -- the consequences of his (untreated) traumatic brain injury -- was so understated in explaining the change in his psyche, depression, and behavior.
A TBI changes everything -- whether or not loved ones can tell the difference.
There won't be another Michael. He was driving in his own lane & fans got to take the ride along with him. Wish I'd gone to see them in

1+9+9+7+1+1+2+2=32 32 is another number that people see a lot like they do the number 11. Not sure if there's a perceived meaning to it.

And what began his downward spiral, and possibly his demise (the brain injury he sustained), only became publicly known in 2019, with the release of the Mystify documentary ~ 22 years after his death. Even his family and friends had been unaware of it.

Colin Diamond told the press about the coroner finding brain bruises in 1998 less than a year after Michaels death.
Still - the TBI had little to do with the depression that the horrible press and Paula's problems were causing.

Paula at first said she thought depression and Bob and the negative press were to blame. She was upset about the tabloids rumors of an autoeurotic death and told everyone how depressed Michael was.
Her changing her story was most likely for money or to avoid a lawsuit from Bob for labelling him a murderer for driving Michael to suicide, as she did the first few months after Michael took his life.
She also went from saying Bob drove him to suicide to making strange comments that he wouldn't commit suicide because she had a kid - odd cause she herself had several suicide attempts before and after Michael died, and she had 4 kids.
Or she changed her tune for insurance money. She made fast friends with Colin Diamond after Micheal died, made him Tiger's godfather, and she was able to buy two homes and pay off her debts.
She then said she hoped it was autoerotic that went to far, because he did this to her, and they were into that.She was a real piece of work. She was the demise of Michael. Just my opinion

I saw an interview where she said Michael didn't commit suicide and she said she hoped it would have been autoerotic because he did that to her one time and they were into it. I surely didn't make that up.

LATER Paula changed her story to the accidental death and made money doing so.
However, the night Michael died, she told reporters. "Bobs a monster. He killed my baby. Michael snapped from 3 years of torment."
Saw them in '82 when they opened for Adam and the Ants, then again when they opened for The Go-Go's. Pure talent. Could've had their own show.

I think it was a combination of many things. Yes Paula Yates. But Bob Geldof played a part in that too, along with the vile press that hounded him. His brain injury, where he permanently lost his sense of taste and smell. He changed after that injury. Was very moody and depressed causing him to go on antidepressants. The Brit Awards where the douchebag from Oasis called him a 'has been' in front of everyone. He was feeling very insecure and irrelevant after that. I believe it was all just a snowball effect and got to be too much for him.

At the end, I thought things were going good. Elegantly Wasted was getting airplay and it charted. INXS had planned a tour. I couldn't understand it. Still listen to them all the time.
I don't think Mick Jagger was in any way comparable to Michael Hutchence I have never really liked the rolling stones but Michael Hutchence is much more attractive and a better singer than MJ although MJ was friendly, kind and polite and very charismatic when I very briefly me him and another huge star in London's Savoy Hotel in a corridor. I was leaving the building and he and (Guess who) were just coming out of the lifts it has to be said that as I was walking towards them I noticed rays of charisma like a physical force coming from Mick. As I am very short-sighted I didn't realise who they were until they drew level with me - can you guess who the other man was?

One of the many things I love about Michael, and there are many, is that he was so masculine. He could paint his nails or whatever, but he was so incredibly masculine. And as Simon le Bon said, " he was comfortable in his masculinity"

If Michael did nothing, Paula would have lost her bid to get custody of her kids without a place to stay, so he was just helping her out.

Hardly any cocaine in him when he died. the drugs most likely cocaine had to have been taken at least 48 hours prior. See Kym Wilson "I saw michael hanging" article. she talks of vision of Michael's death and what the coroner said about drugs.
Also, in Lovegrove Biography, friends and family said he could barely take drugs post brain injury.
THe controversal death was put out by Bob via the press to distance himself form Michael's obvious suicide

Personally I don't believe it was a suicide. Micheal was into erotic asphyxiation where you hang yourself until you almost pass out, it's supposed to give you a real rush.. but Micheal went to far sadly. He was found naked with sexy pics of Paula all around him, according to what I've read .
@@footbru You so made that up! The coroner ruled it a suicide as did another famed pathologist Dr. Shepherd who later reviewed the case and said it could only be suicide. No one gave a "personal request" to the coroner.
Give it up with the desperate jealous attempt to cover up Michael's obvious suicide. Suicide immediately conjures feelings of love and empathy towards the departed, and it seems that Michael haters - just can't take it!
It was suicide. Autoerotic asph.. involves using a self-releasing mechanism that you expect to come undone - hence the "auto". Michael did NOT hang from the door knob, kneeling facing a pillow with a soft ligature (that would slip undone) as is done in AEA (and often still causes death - dont' do it!!) Instead a very depressed Michael hung himself from up HIGH from the closing hinge above the door, facing the door, and used a bucked belt that couldn't come undone. No way it could be anything other than suicide!

Look up freelibrary: Hutch Died in the nude after last drug party with his ex: kym wilson spent the night in his room" (Odd title - because the article states no drugs were found in the room)
"the police insider said: "There were no sex games. It was 100 per cent suicide."
A detective added: "It is very sad, but not suspicious. We may never know what made him do it."" They didn't know what made him take his life because - like 60 per cent of suicides - he didn't leave a note, but the KNEW 100 PER CENT that ti was suicide
Also, this was right after he died in hte months that PAULA YATES SAID IT WAS SUICIDE. She was upset and REJECTED the tablooid sex game story for several months.
It says - "Speaking on Paula's behalf last night, her lawyer Anthony Burton slammed the "scurrilous and grossly irresponsible speculation" that kinky sex played a part in Hutchence's death.
He insisted: "There is no evidence whatsoever to support this."
Later on January 6th - Paula also threatened to sue Q magazine for saying it was a sex game. She later changed her mind for money or - some speculate - to avoid a slander suit from Bob for calling Bob a murderer and saying he drove Michael to suicide.
Also look up at Freelibrary and newspaper.com "GELDOF `KILLED' MY BABY MICHAEL; PAULA'S RAGE: She blames ex for Hutchence suicide."
Everyone - family friends and experts said suicide - it was only the tabloids and later Paula for some reason, ,change it to the sex game thoery.
And see the findings of a review and recreation done by pathologist Dr. Shepherd by look up this. "dailymail dr. Shepherd this was not a sex game gone wrong"
One more point, the coroner found that he had seen a therapist in October and renewed his prozac November 1st

Hilarious how a so-called man of God os trying to eulogize a man who sang about sex, jad numerous affairs, and drank and took drugs. Lol.

@soniagordon2799 IT'S not fair to blame Paula for Michael's downfall. His downfall was his TBI when he could no longer smell or taste anything. He had violent and aggressive episodes, according to his model girlfriend, Helena. Also, Michael's band members said that Michael had changed a lot and that he was very hard to get along with. The TBI destroyed his entire life.
@@leecarson3426 had he met a woman who supported him, and helped him get help and not manipulate and threaten him with suicide of herself and his child, things could have worked out very differently.
