Hey guys! I wanted to add a couple more things to this list of what I wish I knew before IVF, and you can hear me talk about these more over on my Instagram so be sure to follow me over there. instagram.com/chelshope/
    Here are some additional thoughts:
-I wish I would have looked into more financial help with IVF (i.e. grants) and talked more with my insurance company about dealing with IVF payments and exhausted all those options. I didn't realize until later on that our high deductible for the year still wouldn't get met because none of the IVF treatments were counted towards it.
-I wish I would have had the perspective that pregnancy is NOT the ultimate goal of IVF, a healthy baby is. Pregnancy is just another step towards that. So in the beginning when I found out I was pregnant, I was basically like, "Yay, we did it!" As if that was the end. Then I experienced how hard pregnancy has been on my body and I'm constantly feeling guilty for thinking this is hard, but it's what I wanted to so I need to be grateful. When really yes, this is hard, but what I want is a baby and this is just another step towards that and I'm willing to sacrifice comfort for a healthy baby. I think just have that mind set right away would have been helpful.
Good luck to all of you on the IVF train or about to board. YOU GOT THIS!! ❤️

I know this video is dated 5 years ago, but the timing of coming across your video is wild. My FET calender was emailed to me while you are talking about being overwhelmed by the seeing your dates and meds all laid out and I feel the exact same as you are describing. Everything just got so real! Thanks for the advice and I'll try to take it one day at a time!

I was going through that “denial” phase for a while. Like how could I be doing IVF? How could I be going through Infertility treatments in my early 20’s? It’s finally starting to sync in. I use to have such a spark when it came to looking at baby stuff and seeing gender reveals. And for a while the thought of IVF clouded that spark I once had. Your video really helped put things back into perspective ❤️ thank you!

Thank you for putting the Progesterone shot in perspective. I started it Friday, and I've been stressing about doing it perfectly. There are definitely a lot of helpful how-to videos out there but no real consistency on needle length, angle, etc. You are right, they wouldn't expect us to do all these shots on our own if they didn't also account for user error. So, when it's all said and done, I also remind myself to take a deep breath and take it a day at a time. Thank you for sharing your journey and congratulations on your baby!

I came across this video since I might have to go for IVF after an ectopic and tube removal and this video has helped so much to be honest, just listening to your experience and you knowing that I’m not the only that at times feels overwhelmed and worked up, it makes me feel you know somewhat better =) Thank you so much for this video! ❤️

Oh my gosh, the entitlement tip! YES! I already feel so much immense pressure from others to share it all... I've already decided to delay sharing information by either a few days or a few weeks to avoid those prying questions.
It was bad enough with IUI, IVF is a whole new ball game. So glad you filmed this girl, I personally really appreciate it!

Im so sorry. Can i suggest a book that' helped me? Is called "it starts with the egg" by Rebecca Fett.... It works!! Please. Read it. Do research on it. There are ways to fix that problem. I'm currently taking 400ml ubiquinol. Along with all the advice the books suggest.

The day I got my Calendar,i panicked. I stopped sleeping well at night.
Oh God! It's so stressful and REAL.
I started my stimulation injections last night.
I don't know what to do to stop fussing.
I'm so worried about the outcome.
I need this to be successful so badly.
    Thanks for sharing your story😘

This video came just in time for me. My husband and I will be starting our process soon but we have other hiccups to take care of as well. Went to the Dr. and she went over the entire process and it was just sooooo overwhelming and so much thrown at us. It made me super scared and nervous. Watching this video and you giving these tips are such a big help. I felt how you felt when you said that you weren't sure you were built for this. Now I feel more confident and going in this process with a positive mindset and just relax. I have watched your journey on here and it was really nice seeing everything!

I’m on day 9 of stimming, Gonal f / low dose hcg and started cetrotide on Friday ! Most likely egg retrieval is this coming week I’m thinking like Thursday or Friday! This coming Tuesday I have another appt to see how the follicles have been growing, I had 21 eggs so far on Friday 😊 it feels so surreal!!!!

That's amazing! Sounds like you're doing really well. Hang in there mama, and be sure to take good care of yourself after egg retrieval!

I sure will , I’m taking some days off of work to be relaxed, and a few days after ET since we’re doing a fresh transfer if everything is looking good after egg retrieval. I’m so happy about this cycle I hope this treatment works on the first try. Ttc for 9 years 🤗 I started following you since day one of your ttc journey and your videos encourage me and I’m sure other ladies going thru the same thing!!! Thank you for your time to open up about your journey, experiences and all the changes Ivf and pregnancy does!!! ❤️❤️❤️
