      It isn't. I have a 9.2 Man-o-War block that's on this channel. Mike can fill you in on the exact block this is, but it should be capable of handling over 1000 easily. It's probably good to 1400-1600.

    Hi Mike, you have some excellent videos regarding Ford EECs. I have a questions pertaining to my 93' Ford Ranger. I'm in a difficult situation regarding repairing a board and I was wondering. Do you know if all the software regarding a engine size, drivetrain, emissions, etc. is located within the one chip that has a sticker on it? If this is the case I wonder if I'd be able to take that chip with the proper information and transfer it to a rebuilt board of the same year with incorrect engine and emissions on it.
    I'm not sure how much farther I'd like to mess with the old board considering I replaced the capacitors already and it didn't register in the truck. I know its because of broken traces at the minimum but I'm not sure if I'm willing to screw around with that.

      Hmm. I sort of have a clue of which chip has the "program" on it for the specific engine type. But in these years Ford was changing things on these EEC's almost every single year. If you remember that time, even home computers were becoming obsolete almost by the time you brought one home. Sometimes there is only so much you can do if your EEC is damaged beyond practical repair.
