    Thank you again for championing water colour pencils. No one on RUclips demonstrates them better. Love the picture which shows that pencils are not just for the small sketch books, although watercolour pencils and a sketchbook are a great combination out in nature.

    Yay, a new watercolor pencils video!!🎉 Your technique for using watercolor pencils is my favorite! No one else on RUclips shows this technique! It makes working outdoors so much easier and faster, and I enjoy the more loose and expressive results. Thank you so much, to both of you, for taking the time to record, edit, and upload a new video! I hope you both have been well ❤️ .

    The colors in this painting are wonderfully compatible with one another. I loved watching the trees slowly emerge as groupings as you scribbled. And when you activated the pigments - voila, just magnificent! I ‘ve just begun exploring water color pencils and learning different techniques. I love watching you work your magic. Charlie, as a Brazilian, I've been searching for a technique that truly captures my vision of Brazilian landscapes. Your technique with watercolor pencils stands out as the best! No one else on RUclips showcases this method like you do. I'm confident that this technique will transform my outdoor work, making it quicker and allowing for a more free and expressive outcome. I deeply appreciate the effort both of you put into recording, editing, and uploading new videos. Thank you so much!

    I don't know how I missed this one when you first put it up - or rather, when Gail put it up! - but it's a brilliant example of how W/C pencils can be used for 'proper' paintings as well as sketching. No faffing about on a piece of A4 - full size painting. Thanks. Excellent stuff. Guess what I'll be doing next?
    PS As you mention people moaning about the scribble noise; as you may remember, I'm as deaf as a post and always use the auto generated subtitles. They always describe the sound as 'music', 'laughter', 'applause' or sometimes 'foreign'. So you are doing something right! :) .. but sometimes, in ordinary painting videos they think you use Fookus Green - you might appreciate that one!

    Always enjoy your tutorials, this one was hard to watch however because of the light flicker, haven't noticed it before in your videos, it isn't there when you are shooting towards the wall, have you changed your easel light?, looks like it's out of sync with the camera frame rate, the content made up for it though 👍

    • @WendiWells
      @WendiWells Год назад +1

      I thought the flickering light might be caused by a ceiling fan or a fluorescent light. It seems only to be there when he shows a closer view of the painting/easel. Content definitely makes up for it! 👍

    Thank you for another great watercolor pencil tutorial. I have some ideas to help you with reading the names or numbers on your pencils. Use a sharpie pen and write the name on the pencil. Another way is to use a label and write the name on it cover the label with clear tape to keep it from coming off or water damage. You can also color the label with the pencil so you can see the name and the color. I hope this is helpful.

    The other day I bought a rough watercolor paper similar to the type that you use. I was very surprised that the watercolor pencils performed differently on rough paper vs. fine watercolor paper. The pencils dissolved more easily and left no lines. I had been struggling with Caran d ache Museum Aquarelle pencils leaving lines but on the rough paper, I had no problems. Have you found that the texture of the watercolor paper makes a difference when using watercolor pencils in your paintings?
