That first fight with the ninth sister is such a great character establishing moment for Cal in this game. She comes back and you think she's going to be this nuisance, but Cal "sets her free" with a resolute yet remorseful energy right off the bat. The Cal from the first game wouldn't have been so resolute. He even seems to know its tapping a bit into the dark side, but he steadies himself after. Shows how the character has progressed in his life since. Also, I don't know if this is intentional, but I feel like there's shades of Kyle Katarns in Cal, especially in this game, in that he's a force user with Jedi training on one side, but on his other side he's fully adapted into this "do what I gotta do to get by" mercenary. Unapologetically uses a blaster and lightsaber in each hand, invokes many of the Jedi's teachings but with a more pragmatic outlook. To say nothing of the beard and hairstyle as well. 😂
@@Avenger85438 There's no literal (as in gameplay) Dark Side usage yes, but I'm just going off of the acting of the character. The way Cal sort of seems to be trying to steady himself, like he's centering his thoughts or even rationalizing the whole thing to himself, came across to me as trying to not allow darkside tendencies to swell up after "setting her free", letting the hate flow through him etc. He just watched a bunch of his friends die to her previously too so he's going through a lot emotionally at that moment. I think it's a great testament to how good the mo-cap and facial acting is in this game.
The story has everything that the sequel trilogy was totally not... and what it lacked. I think for the future movies, they definitely can learn from the games!!
Yea im glad they are focusing on other characters and their struggles with the empire other than the skywalker saga. Cal is litteraly my favriote jedi the dudes a badass.
@GameClips You did absolutely perfect editing on this one. Flawless. No gameplay or dialogue. Or very very little. Just the cinematic scenes. Was easy to follow and know what would happen between cinematic scenes, had you been playing the game. A manageable 2h53m. Great job!!
Well from the ventress ep from the clone wars series it seemed they were 100 percent loving loyal and trusting to each other but ruthless and scheming to outsiders merrin is treating most of the people she meets like how the sisters treated each other an is ruthless to the empire as the desert ghost 😂
Why couldn’t Bode just accept surrender. He was definitely my favorite character and it’s sad to see such a sick character die. Just a misunderstood father.
I think it really is an interesting that they decided to have the story go along this path because the main antagonists are fairly basic IN the fact that we know from the beginning practically that they will be the antagonists, They make no attempts to try to hide and conceal the fact that they are against Cal, And thus we expect it, And thus we form no emotional attachment to them because we know that more often than naught these characters will end up perishing. However having a character that most people liked, Trusted, And thought of as a valuable ally ultimately ending up betraying you, The protagonist, Is a major blow to people watching or playing the game because that act of betrayal brings up very strong emotions such as pain, Anger, Sorrow, And guilt, And it makes that impact all the much *Larger* than it would normally be from a regular antagonist, The whole betrayal idea can become at times a bit over-used but I really think that they pulled this one off very successfully.
i think this sets A LOT up for the TV shows and movies down the line, this gives a good place to have cal during the OT, and with his actor being in good shape in real life, he could make a live action appearence as cal kestis
Very well done. Steady, believable maturity of Cal as he navigated the challenges of being a Jedi. Enjoyed the relationship with Merrin grow. The Bode betrayal was completely unexpected. I'm still not sure how Kata would've handled her relationship with Cal after he killed her father. That would be emotional dynamite, and it was passed over-not believable. But the look, feel, story, plot growth were captivating and invested the characters in your heart.
This is the best cutscene compilation of this game yet. You kept the characters and weapons as is with no distracting modifications and you kept the music in too! I can truly just sit back and enjoy the story. Well done.
the way the kid just gave up her father was unrealistic to me. You would think that Bode had a bigger influence on the kid but clearly it was the mother. It's odd that they burned the toy they cared about. "Now that my dad's dead I guess I have to grow up now."
I don't really see that she "gave up" on her father but realized that what he was doing was selfish, When Cal tried to reason with Bode that they (The Hidden Path, The Anchorites, And Bode with his daughter) could ALL live together on Tanalorr she told him to listen to them, But ultimately as we know he didn't. She also said that after her mother died Bode changed a lot, Perhaps so much that even she recognized he didn't change for the better. And you have to realize the gesture in her putting her favorite stuffed animal on his pyre, To a child such a stuffed animal is a prized possession and she wanted to give him that prized possession to show that she still loved him and mourns him despite all of the mistakes he made, And thus she put her favorite doll on his funeral pyre so that he could have it with him always.

I swear Cal's chest xray would leave dr's perplexed. Dude has to of broken majority of his rib's and at slipped 4 disks and probably broke a vert or two.
I love how at the imperial facility Bode uses Kata as a human shield, positioning her between him and Cal, until they sit down, he starts talking about being a father, and for a moment he makes himself vulnerable by standing in front of Kata with his back to Cal. Briefly, he was really willing to put her safety above his own desire for control.
I do not believe that Bode would give up Tanalorr by doing what he did starting 2:09:20 ish. As he would for certain not have the dream of the safe place for his daughter. If the Jedi could use Tanalorr then he might also have a safer place for his daughter. No Tanaloor then no possibility at all for his daughter. Even if he took the "key" to get there he would likely still need the help from others. So this really shot the story to pieces for me. (I might edit the comment as I continue watching.) -- What an amazing story! Thank you for putting this together!
That part puzzles me as well, and to be honest I still don't understand Bode's logic even after seeing the final battle. Did Bode think that Kata has more chances to survive by living alone on a whole planet? Or in the end, can Cal protect Kata against the empire? Probably not, but he would have much better chances if he had a few more Jedi masters and a hidden organization by their side. Oh, wait... Bode made sure they are dead... This makes the story sooooo rushed and illogical for me, but maybe I'm missing something.
If they make it a base for the Empire's most wanted, the empire will hunt for it. Yes they're hidden and it's hard to get to them, but they don't plan on staying there forever. They leave from time to time, go on missions, take risks. Odds are significant that the empire could conceivably find their way back to the planet and then Kata is in danger. Bode's plan was, never leave the planet, don't attract the empire's attention, Kata and him live safe and in hiding for the rest of their lives. Is it the right thing to do? No, but it's not illogical from the perspective of safety above all other concerns.
@@stoprer actually you should try and rewatch a few scenes if not here lemme break it down to you, basically bobe actually wanted to take cal with him too but after they got the map to the hidden planet cal said that everyone should move there and that the hidden archive could be restructured on the hidden planet but bobe didn't want that he only wanted him, his daughter and even cal to come with him but since cal wanted to bring everyone he had no choice but to flee and go by himself (hope you understand my explanation sorry if there are a few errors in words and spelling)

I hate how all the games literally have everybody standing toe to toe with Vader. Vader is the best lightsaber duelist in the galaxy, bar none, and extremely talented in the force. No outcast would stand toe to toe with him.

The CGI abilities are scary good now. Still not quite approaching real life cinema but still able to be engaging, entertaining, elicit emotion and gets the audience invested in the story as well as immersed in the world. With AI developing at breakneck speed and CGI, there will be a lot of actors out of work. If it's isn't a main character, many "extras" an auxiiary characters will be CGI. Especially any alien characters in the sci fi genre. Very entertaining....almost as good as a movie with human actors. The real leaps have been made in the faces of the characters. Human communication is 75% non-verbal and CGI is gaining ground quickly. Especially the eyes. The eyes are the window to the soul and sheesh they're getting pretty good at it. Fun watch!!

Kyle Katarn, that's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time....
Not really. There's no dark side usage until later, the fight was just Cal realizing wouldn't be able to end it without putting her out of her misary.
@@Kiyosuki yeah. Someone needs to make a in-depth analysis of the storyline. It’s so rich!😃
Thanks for pointing that part out.👍

The story has everything that the sequel trilogy was totally not... and what it lacked. I think for the future movies, they definitely can learn from the games!!
Yea im glad they are focusing on other characters and their struggles with the empire other than the skywalker saga. Cal is litteraly my favriote jedi the dudes a badass.
Nice movie
This feels... like Mass Effect.
Does anyone else get that vibe, from the story?
It feels like Mass Effect to me.
Yeah 🤝
I hope jedi survivor in all conditions
@GameClips You did absolutely perfect editing on this one. Flawless. No gameplay or dialogue. Or very very little. Just the cinematic scenes. Was easy to follow and know what would happen between cinematic scenes, had you been playing the game. A manageable 2h53m. Great job!!

2:08:47 it was supposed to be such a romantic moment, but something went wrong.
Meryn being a jedi more than a jedi just goes to show the jedi should've been a tad more tolerant of the nacht sisters.
She's not exactly representative of what they were either. As a group, a culture, they were kinda awful, don't you think?
they largely left the night sisters alone, so i'd say they were pretty tolerant lol
Tolerance is for the weak. She’s not a night sister either.
Well from the ventress ep from the clone wars series it seemed they were 100 percent loving loyal and trusting to each other but ruthless and scheming to outsiders merrin is treating most of the people she meets like how the sisters treated each other an is ruthless to the empire as the desert ghost 😂
The way that the game is glitching during that kiss to his eyes is beautiful lol
Why couldn’t Bode just accept surrender. He was definitely my favorite character and it’s sad to see such a sick character die. Just a misunderstood father.
Cal could have at least kept his jetpack
I think it really is an interesting that they decided to have the story go along this path because the main antagonists are fairly basic IN the fact that we know from the beginning practically that they will be the antagonists, They make no attempts to try to hide and conceal the fact that they are against Cal, And thus we expect it, And thus we form no emotional attachment to them because we know that more often than naught these characters will end up perishing. However having a character that most people liked, Trusted, And thought of as a valuable ally ultimately ending up betraying you, The protagonist, Is a major blow to people watching or playing the game because that act of betrayal brings up very strong emotions such as pain, Anger, Sorrow, And guilt, And it makes that impact all the much *Larger* than it would normally be from a regular antagonist, The whole betrayal idea can become at times a bit over-used but I really think that they pulled this one off very successfully.
lmao the more angry Dagan got the more he sounds and looks exactly like Anakin.
its anakin as the voice actor
"I can sense your feelings, but I can't sense when you're right above me, Cal." - inquisitor writing.
i think this sets A LOT up for the TV shows and movies down the line, this gives a good place to have cal during the OT, and with his actor being in good shape in real life, he could make a live action appearence as cal kestis
I had a feeling Bode was a weasel the whole time.. dude put off that vibe..
Well done.
That merrin and cal kiss seen had me dying lmao the animations get glitchy
They couldn't get one of the most important scenes right before they released it, lol
What? You think sucking his nose while he sluprs her chin isn´t romantic?
Especially when it looked like she was trying to kiss his eyeballs lol

This is an incredible Star Wars story. I don’t like souls games but this was an essential Star Wars tale 🔥
you have difficulty options in these games unlike soulsbornes if that's the main issue.
I just played on story mode cos I don't like Souls games. Fuck the haters.
Just bc they share similarities doesn’t make it a souls game.
The way Cal acts invincible is so badass.
The only thing I force choked during this video was my popcorn. May the Snacks be with you!

Watching this on my phone made me more emotional than all the disney ripoffs in theatre combined ever could
the way the kid just gave up her father was unrealistic to me. You would think that Bode had a bigger influence on the kid but clearly it was the mother. It's odd that they burned the toy they cared about. "Now that my dad's dead I guess I have to grow up now."
Yeah honestly the story and dialogue is pretty.. meh..
@@jakelee5096 better than book of boba and some mando szn 3 episodes for sure tho
I think the kid is force sensitive and she will be Cal's padawan.

100.000.000 times better then all the new Movies of starwars
2:08:40 what a twist was not expecting that
When the game glitched and Merrin was kissing Cal's eyeball
I laughed so hard. Reminded me of the scene in Naked gun
@@GenesyssOmega99you are so right 😂😂😂
Thanks for always putting out these full movies @GameClips!
Crazy that the games stories are better then the movies and tv shows.
I swear Cal's chest xray would leave dr's perplexed. Dude has to of broken majority of his rib's and at slipped 4 disks and probably broke a vert or two.
That kissing scene at 2:08:50 😂😂 the glitching made it look like the most awkward kiss ever, with her just tonguing his nostrils
How they didn't fix that was hysterical. You can see his mouth under her chin 😂
18:05 Chops a persons literal head off. "Yeah, I'm okay." LOL
(I might edit the comment as I continue watching.)

What an amazing story!
@@stoprer I agree. But it seemed at the end that something inside of him had flipped.
I'm so glad Cal ended up with Merrin!!! That bit when they come out of hyperspace in the Abyss got me.
I never saw that twist coming! 😮this was outstanding and the art design along with the cinematography was amazing!
I saw that coming in the moment Bod had his moment with Cal where you clearly felt something was bothering him.
His daughter was a key element in this.
to be honest, until about halfway through the game i assumed he was just gonna be that side character bound to die that just managed to last a little longer than the others lol that twist had me on my toes.
@Gustavo Bastos that’s what I thought because Star Wars has a habit of killing off characters right as you get to like them!
I honestly didn’t see the betrayal coming especially him being a Jedi
I AGREE !
I hate how all the games literally have everybody standing toe to toe with Vader.
Vader is the best lightsaber duelist in the galaxy, bar none, and extremely talented in the force. No outcast would stand toe to toe with him.
Vader isn't the best duelist, never was. Obi-Wan was always better for one, so was Palpatine for another. Vader won fights through brute strength and Force ability, but a superior duelist was a threat to him.
The jedi on Kessel
Anya kuro
Maul doppelganger
Galen Marek
Starkiller clone
There were more in legends Vader is not invincible.
That "outcast" was a fully trained jedi with just as much experience if not more than him if anything Canon seems to treat Vader like he's an invincible force when.
i loved this thank you so much for uploading this i cannot afford a ps5 and stuff to play this but watching it is amazing
Im an hour in and I’m already 10 times more invested in this than the last Jedi movie lol
Fun watch!!
The console is the limitation here, not our cgi tech.
@@jeffbrownstain in think budget is the limit more than anything else

Is it just me or the star wars games start to look more and more like ff games, i mean the enviroments, the characters and even the open world exploration all have the same feel as the newer ff games have, all we need is to include the more fantastical elements of the force such as sith alchemy and sorcery to allows you to create/summon all sorts of abominations or blast your enemies to smitterines with powerful magic and poof you have ff in space
