It has adjustment of rotation tightness, on the back, under the neoprene. Adjust two hex screws and get ideal tightness again.
P.S. mine serves for approx 10 years. Works just like new.

Get what you pay for. I’ve only had to ever send one light back to SF for repair and it was a quick, no BS transaction and at no cost to me. You are correct about the transferable warranty. I’ve only had the minimus for about 5 months...should have bought this from the start and nothing else.

Thanks for that opinion! I’ve been looking for a deal on the Maximus but I agree with you on that hefty price tag with lack of options! Hopefully my minimus will be with me for many more years! They definitely pay for themselves if they don’t get lost!

Havens Outdoor World True story: we have a small cabin on the Canadian side of the St. Lawrence River. I bought two P3x fury’s when they first came out, and my “main light” is the one this story is about. We used to use a battery operated spotlight at night for anything and everything related to fishing and the cabin...thing threw an incredible beam but was super heavy. Upgraded to the fury, and never looked back. In July of 2016 we had been drinking by the campfire and at some point my light ended up underneath our dock after falling out of my pocket in a drunken stupor. Fast forward a year later, same week (4th of July) and had been in chest high water digging weeds out of my motor intake and guess what I stepped on...there isn’t anything wrong with that light as I sit here typing this story messing around with the thing. Fresh batteries in it and it was good to go. What saved it, was having the tailcap tight, and it must’ve been buried enough in the mud and was I disturbed enough to make it an entire year underwater, thru the brutal Canadian winter and still be fine. It’s my”apocalypse” light. Aside from trying to drive a nail in with the thing....I’m a dedicated surefire guy to say the least.

Great testimonial brother! That is definitely remarkable that you found it and that it was still working!! I also have a fury and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone! I love surefire and trust their customer service but I have grown quite fond of elzetta over the last few years as well. The alpha with dual mode cap is a nearly perfect edc and the Charlie sits by my bedside:) made in Kentucky and worth checking out if you have to purchase another. It is difficult for me Noe to choose a favorite but I would undoubtedly rely on both!

The Maximus is way to heavy and it doesn’t come with an over the skull band at over $200! I have one, I don’t use it because of its weight and frankly, it should come with a helmet adapter or body clip along with the full head gear that’s needed for the weight of the thing. Drives me nuts they don’t throw in one more piece of elastic for that money spent...

I agree with you there buddy! I’ve often wanted to try that model but since mine is still going strong and definitely that price tag I have resisted!
