  • In today’s furniture makeover video I am giving this plain Jewelry Armoire a glamorous makeover. I am creating a custom color using Two Colors from Dixie Belle Paint Company’s Silk line. Then I add two WoodUBend moulding and a raised stencil for added interest. My next step is to cover the raised stencil and WoodUBend Mouldings with the new Dixie Shine. This is my first time using Dixie Shine and I am thrilled to say I love it! This will be a great new addition to my furniture painting supply!

    The power of silver! Nice choice. Nice to see something different from others who only use gold!

    The final edit on this piece was smart. Most furniture artists mix too many treatments together with an end result that may appease those focusing on technique, but that doesn't produce a true aesthetic result.

    Absolutely gorgeous as always, even though it's not a color I would have chosen. Beautiful piece!

    Hello Amy. It is beautiful, and I love the raised stencil with the Dixie Shine.🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰 I remember a while back, you painted a Dresser that had a raised on it, or it may have been wallpaper, but it was colorful and gorgeous!!

    Gorgeous!!! What's your go to for getting grandma's attic smell out of felt lining in the jewelry drawers?? I used mild detergent in water but no success. White lighting?

    Turned out beautiful. Why did you choose the silver foil rather than gilding wax? Not criticizing just curious😊

    • @FlipItFurniture
      @FlipItFurniture  Год назад +3

      I have used gilding wax over a raised stencil in the past and sometimes it gets messy. I thought using the foil would give me some more control and it did!

    How many coats of slick stick do you use?

    • @FlipItFurniture
      @FlipItFurniture  Год назад

      2 coats, waiting 2 hours between the coats and then 12 hours before adding my paint!

    Pretty but I can tell that it’s not your design.
