- This week we take this old dresser about to be trashed and give it a new life. This dresser makeover was pretty tough on me as I questioned myself every step of the way. The end results were just fabulous and I love it now and I think someone would love this furniture in their home! I hope you guys enjoy the video!

So many years ago when I started watching you, you were on a cold concert floor, in a garage with a black dog , you didn't decoupage back then,but you always used gold. Your signature I guess. Everything you do is lovely, I'm so happy you have an appreciation for antique furniture, their old souls. Thank you for breathing new life into them.

This came out stunning! Also, after watching you for so long, especially since you've gone back to Annie Sloan, I decided to give their wax a go as a top coat. I've only used it a few times (with the same Prima wax brush you use) and I am having issues. My brush is getting really rough. Could you share how you clean yours? I am wondering if I am being too hard on mine and ruining it. I also have issues with getting little fuzzies or hairs in the clear wax. I do use a lint free rag to wipe back, but I think it's just small hairs in the air (I have cats, but they do not come in my room). How particular do you have to be with this? Is it something you can buff out later? Wax is still such a mystery to me, but I just love the finish.
To keep your waxing brush clean and fresh all you have to do is pour some mineral spirits on the bristles and wipe it with a cloth. Your brush is going to be soft clean and you can do this after every use.
After you are done waxing your pieces you have to go over with microfiber cloth and everything is going to look good and smooth. Hope this helps ❤️
@@KachaFurniture So you do not need to rinse off the mineral spirits? I was not sure if it would mess with the wax at all.

Here's a question for anybody out there reading disability design with prima stencils..... If I was going to undertake a project like this and do an end tables for each side of the bed is there any possibility of using the stencils in opposite way or are the stencils available both in a right and????

Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included ruclips.net/user/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

Rub a bar of soap along the inside of the door tracks so the drawers open and close smoothly. Beautiful transformation!

E H: Or even rub real wax along the inside tracks of the drawer sliders - or the wax of a candle works too. It helps a zipper slide more easily.

I know that the "old finish" was in rough shape, but I really liked the dark red with the gold line/flower pattern, it was very "old world"....all things a side....you really did breathe new life into an old piece....it came out beautifully!!!...truly one of a kind work of art!!!...

WOW!!!! That transformation is gorgeous! I wish I could find a piece with those gorgeous Knapp joints in the drawers. That piece dates from 1870 to 1900. Very nice find and even nicer makeover! Well done, Kacha!

Part of creation is the pause between parts or steps. At least,when I did houses it was a use for me to live with a decision and move on. Be having a restful vacation. I am so grateful for your care of the poor little chest and your young pup who wants to join in playing with brushes as you do. Your husband's filming is so much a help. Well done.
