So for these can you send in a list of mods and they will optimize a tune (assuming you have a free tunes for life membership) or is that only done at dyno shops
Best tune you can get is at a dyno shop. Find the shop you want to use and ask them what scanner to buy. Each shop has to pay a yearly fee to beable to program with that company. I bought a sct scanner and my tune guy only tunes with Diablo sport. So do the research before spending the money. But free is free and not worth sacrificing the money you put into your car on a cheap tune. Email tunes tend to play it safe (to safe) and robs you of power.
I have a 02 gt and im running LT headers ive been running them for alittle for a year now but have only put about 3k miles on it since installed it was running fine for acouple months then started running lean and all hesistating on acceleration ive been told i need a tune multiple times but its pricey for these motors can this mabe fix it ? With the air/fuel ratios ?
Does Bama tuners allow you to modify data charts? For example pulling back timing, advance afr, ect. I'd much rather do the tuning and reflashing myself if I could rather than waiting. Also learning experience.
William Jacobs you can pull timing with this and they will tune a 100shot of nitrous for you as well. But with there nitrous tune I still pull 1 degree of timing at 4000-8000 rpms
Yes on some cars you can change gear setting with the scanner. Better to call summit tell them what gears you have and they will sell you a new speed sensor for your transmission to adjust for it. Way cheaper. You have to know tire size and rear gears. It's one bolt and a wire clip on the rear of the transmission housing. Good luck
Sct scanner i think it had 3 cars but only able to run one tune at a time. So you are not able to hook it up program one and then plug it in car number 2 without putting car number one back at factory settings.
Can someone please explain what is exactly a 93 octane tune maybe I'm overthinking it I don't know and all the forums just recommend me to get it thanks hopefully I didn't over think it and asked a dumb question
Jorge Ramos 93 octane is something you’ll see at a gas pump. The octane rating of gasoline is essential, if you’ve got loads of timing or your compression is through the roof, you’ll want a higher octane gas or you’ll see some spark knocking and pinging
Not sure why you guys keep recommending Bama tunes. They are garbage and not worth the money. $300 for the scanner and $200 for the tune (2017 price). They email me back and informed me my car has to many mods for them to tune it. BBK cold air with a bbk 78mm plenum, 24lbs injectors, pi heads on a non pi block, 373 gears, 2500 stall torque converter, long tube heads with no cats. Waste of 500 bucks, better off buying a nice set of gears or a torque converter. See way more gains for your buck.
To get the cheapest bang for your buck and most power out of this engine you dont mess with the engine, you add a better torque converter for your transmission.......hands down and case closed.
What about my 4.6 Lincoln town car

This could help but I would suggest if not done so already to check your upstream sensors. As you said it was running fine before.
I second replacing and checking o2 sensors mine was running lean replaced those and now runs rich but I need to fix fuel stuff

No unfortunately
@@brickvision8858 That's what I kinda figured. Thank you.
@@ginjaman4784 your best bet is a new ecu that's compatible with new stuff
@@brickvision8858 Yeah I would've probably used a MicroSquirt setup. But I got a 5.3 LS and gonna run a Holley terminator.
@@ginjaman4784 that's what I'm going with
Can you pull timing for Nitrous with this ? Set your own parameters or are you locked in with the 3 pre loaded tunes?
William Jacobs you can pull timing with this and they will tune a 100shot of nitrous for you as well. But with there nitrous tune I still pull 1 degree of timing at 4000-8000 rpms
This is exactly what I needed to see !! I’m going pick one up tomorrow for dirt cheap
@@scottwaters1154 how much timing are you seeing WOT with nitrous tune?
are you sure that baseline is for that car? it clearly has expensive high end bolt ons, and its base line is what stock ones did from factory
can you add custom tunes from some tuner
Bama suxs you better off buying the regular SCT tuner and getting a custom tune from a reputable tuner such as most speed shop
Can this fix the odometer issue that arises after changing rear end gears to 3.73?

good luck finding power in that engine lol
Kevin Wiltshire don't be hating the 2v
I have both a 2013 5.0 and 2001 GT and love them both.
I love mustangs but you have to admit that 4.6 2v is horrible for making power reliable but slow

@@kevinwiltshire2217 It takes so little to get usable power out of any 2v.
Kevin Wiltshire not even close, they can actually make amazing power with boost
