- The third generation Maruti Swift has finally arrived in India and it is based on the new HEARTACT platform that is shared with the Baleno. The Swift is now lighter, stronger and feels so much better to drive. On the mechanical front, it continues to get the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines.
The 2018 Maruti Swift is offered in 10 variants - Lxi, Vxi, Vxi AMT, Zxi, Zxi AMT and Zxi+ for the petrol engine and Ldi, Vdi, Vdi AMT, Zdi, Zdi AMT and Zdi+ for the diesel engine. The addition of the AMT gearbox is a significant improvement. The Swift rivals the Hyundai Grand i10 and Ford Figo.

Hye Faisal....Like before,,awsmmm review...every detail given crisply...Yeah a much better design then before but still not to my liking...I dnt knw whether u gonna agree to this but The rear is like a beefed up Datsun Go...While datsun looks good in it,this one looks odd ...realy odd...And Marutis habbit of using dull plastic quality more is still prominent..A welcome change is the flat bottom steering..Overall loved ur review..👍...And my pic will be the Grand I 10...It just dsnt feel built to a price...

Sadly,Suzuki swift 1st gen>swift 2nd gen > swift 3rd gen...dezire is better though...
At least the z+ variants shud get more airbags than standard 2 airbags , a spoiler etc. As z+ trim is almost 80k more than z variant.

Well rivals like Grand i10 and Figo still have more airy & roomy feel at rear bench...thanks to big glass area and light coloured cabin.

You didn't mentioned anything about the interior build quality. Is it like Dzire too? I love the design of the car. Feel fresh though.

In swift Vxi and Baleno delta the diffrence between feature costs around 50000 if the price of swift vxi is less then Baleno delta by 50 thousand then swift is worth otherwise go for Baleno .
