Safari please make a 3 seat Bell 47 style bird and I’ll be all in! Your birds fly non stop during Oshkosh! Proof of a great product!
Awesome work Kayla!
Thanks for remembering the rotor heads! Safari flew almost non stop at Oshkosh! Very Impressive!
No problem. I like to have a VARIETY! Thanks for taking the time to watch and also engage here! I appreciate you!
I didn’t know this was in Marianna. I grew up in Panama City so maybe an hour away. Awesome!
They moved to TN sometime last year. Just north of Nashville I believe. Need to do a follow up visit sometime this year to see the new digs :-)
Stunning heli. Didn’t know it. Being Belgian I know the Dynali and I visited the manufacturer. Looks like a similar concept. Build by super passionate and clever guys. Thank you.
Very interesting!!!! thank you!
Great job kayla!
Well done!!! Great video!!!
Thank You! Thanks for the compliment and Thank You for watching.
Very nice interview and factory tour. Good questions.
Herman Spoot! Thank you! I appreciate you! Thanks for watching.
These are nice looking units, and I learned something as well from this video.
Dru Bradley Thank You for taking the time to watch and also engage here. Subscribe for more to come!
Lovely looking well made helicopter, learned a lot about the company from this video with its obvious enthusiasm, the high inertia rotor blades is good to know, the company deserved to do really well.
Angel Reading. Thank You for engaging here and supportive comments. I appreciate you taking the time to watch. SUBSCRIBE if you haven't and look for more videos to come.
Experimental Aircraft Channel k
Awesome tour. Slick little chopper. Looks like a little Bell 47 in it's genes.
That Welder is a Friggin Artist !!!
Bryan, nice video. Thanks for stopping by today.
Looking forward to speaking more in the future! Thanks for taking the time to check out the channel here!
Nice tour.
Ronald Kehinde. Thank you! Thanks for taking the time to watch. I appreciate you!
I went to Oshkosh in 1990 the kit for the Safari was being sold at 60K with no engine. I liked the design very much and the fact that is powered by Lycoming engines.
Great video
Geoge Bryant Thank you! I appreciate your positive support! Thank you for watching!
Nice Heli's :)
Thank you for Sharing... Excellent Video! I would love to eventually build a Safari 500, maybe someday.
Nicholas Dawsom Thank You! I appreciate the compliment and support. Thank you for watching and I hope that this lights the fire for your interest in aviation in general and one day helps motivate you to build!
Experimental Aircraft Channel I have been passionate about Aviation since I was a kid. Your Videos definately provide a lot of inspiration to get started on my Build Project. I have been involved with Experimental Aviation for over three years and will be picking up my first project (Waiex) the end of next month. I am anxious to get started on this build and involve local kids who are a part of my EAA Chapters Young Eagles. I have always been a big fan of helicopters and hope to build and learn to fly one at some point... Just currently out of my price range. I will stick with Gyro's until I can afford an Eagle HeliCylce or Safari 500. I enjoy your video's and greatly appreciate what you are doing for Experimental Aviation! Cheers!
Tiny version of the Bell 47. No wonder it’s so attractive!
Really loved your video on Safari helicopter factory tour but was wondering if you asked about mast bumping being a 2 blade helicopter and or if they come in turbine engines.
Beautiful product. Is filling the welded chrome moly with oil an industry standard? GREAT idea. Seems you could also add some UV tracer dye if you did have a pressure drop revealed crack, to locate it for repair, if they don't do that already. In my last comment about our Long EZ, the guy who finished it was flying previous to the Long a Lake Buccaneer ultralight knockoff similar (or maybe the same?) to the one in your water STOL challenge video...interesting coinkidink. I know he used to give kids rides in it all the time to promote aviation interest. ;-)
Nice
Great video, very informative. Thank you. I have to admit that I somehow thought that their shop is much smaller. We also spoke with the owners in Oshkosh, very friendly people who are super excited about their products. I guess we'll stop by again at Sun'n'Fun!
Transsib THANK YOU. I appreciate your support. SUPER nice people there and an excellent product. Bobby truly has a PASSION for what he is doing and I think that makes all of the difference.
Hi Transsib, we will be in spot #54 in Paradise City.

Very useful video, mam you are very beautiful...
Hello I’m aviation maintenance technician, I’m looking for a job, I had been fixing aircraft for 22 years , I would work with you , I’m pilot , I’m studying for A&P and ATP, ACTUALLY have private pilot single and multi engine FAA , I LOVED THESE PROJECTS, THANKS YOU ,
Very nice! The 400 looks so much like the Bell 47. I'm falling in love with it but what is the useful load weight as I would be tipping the scales at 230 lbs.
They used to be called Baby Bells, but Bell sued and stopped that on Trademark.
Wish that I’d seen this video sooner, I was at Sun ‘n Fun this year so if I had I might have gotten a ride. I only live about an hour away in Pinellas county. Oh well, maybe next year.
Sorry it couldn't have been made sooner. It is showing up at show all over. I saw just recently they were in Moultrie GA at their AG SHOW. Thank you for watching!
Very informative. The young lady is wonderful. I'd already have one of these ships but I dont fit! Being a giant is no good for the aviation.
Hello Mark, We may be able to make something work! Give us a call at 1-850-482-4141
I would leave the oil out of the frame other than a mist coating to reduce weight and fill the frame with just argon or nitrogen instead and a pressure sensor with a gauge for the instruments. Any loss of frame pressure would trigger a frame crack warning. For crack inspections, test the pressure and wash the frame in soapy water is nice. The other solution would be to try drawing a vacuum in the frame. A vacuum would stop oxidation, you could use very low-pressure nitrogen too, to drive out oxygen. The vacuum could stiffen the frame and draw it all together tighter. Warning then triggered by a loss of vacuum instead of pressure.
Nice video. Keep up the posting it’s the information content that count for me anyway not The graphics.
Sure looks like an old Bell 47 ...... NICE looking Craft !, I want mine in Orange & Black Zebra pattern !, long range fuel tanks and Leather & Cloth interior ( Saddle Brown ).. ... and an 11X14 glossy in the paint booth for the wall... that should do.... OH darn, The trailer needs to be Orange Too.......... YEP , thats it.
Robert Lafnear REQUEST GRANTED.... oh... just after the deposit! Hah! Thanks for watching and also engaging here! I appreciate you! If you would like more info... Safari Helicopter info is in the description here.
WELL... I just LOVE what I see but it is probably more of a dream now...I'll be 70 soon and I've had a Private since I was 28 and IF you were making these way back-- I'd ON THE LIST for sure,.. just bet this a ball to putt around in. THANK YOU for your reply, Fly Safe and have a great time @ SUN & Fun if ya go.
Thanks a lot! Give us a call or check our website our for more info www.SafariHelicopter.com
21:08 " carbon fiber will make a big difference in aviation to come" That happened 30 years ago. He means a big difference to Safari because carbon fiber has been used in Aerospace now for decades. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is all carbon fiber.
Is there a place to put your backpack or small suitcase ?
Nossa meu sonho é um helicóptero desses .onde estão vocês?
Kayla is super beautiful.
Great video! But please get a new camera, that one can't focus on anything.
Sergio Serfim THANK YOU for watching and for the suggestion. I am working on a budget to get a better camera that handles movement better for this year. Growing this channel one video, one step at a time with your help. :-)
Are the welders certified by the FAA?
Sure wish they would donate one of those bad boys to me LOL
Bryan Liggett That would be NICE wouldn't it. :-) Thanks for watching!
IN THE FUTURE I WOULD LIKE TO FLIGTH A HELICOPTER A PREPARE ONE , SO LONG , GOOD BLESS YOU.
The shipping is free?
183,000 without avionics. Wow.
Are those carved giraffes from South Africa?
Not really sure. Honestly.... I don't remember them. hah! Was busy with filming etc
Hi sir assamblinge rotor how match
Because it is a chopper, one question that was not asked, what about a turbine option??
Damn, you already had the idea of a pressurised frame.
Does this Helicopter Hover
I would have mistaken that machine for an early Bell helicopter.
Gotta like a woman who knows aircraft manufacturing!
Tom Davis Kayla was very informed giving us the tour for sure. Thank you for watching!
Wait a minute.... that old boy is the designer (the P.Eng.) of the new 500? Earlier in the interview, he said he was previously in trucking... so an ex-truck driver designed the new 500???? Oh, that's not overly reassuring at all....
He owned a trucking company. Never said he was a trucker.
@@thelonelytrucker9317 serious structural issues have been highlighted with the design. Fatal mast failures... among other things. I'd love to know that there is a P.Eng aeronautical mechanical engineer overseeing this design and all mods. Show me credentials, or, I look elsewhere and you should too.
@@MrZrryan2 not saying there aren't issues, just that he owned a trucking business. But yes since CHR sold I would have my doubts about this aircraft.
Interesting but you've got to get a stabilized camera.
Bobby, i need the engine, it's been 3 months since I paid
Give the man his money back or give him interest for keeping it so long!
These people use real computers and real monitors. So they make real helicopters.
I bought one. Wait and see what they say when you are missing a part. You're blamed
Walked up to their display at Oshkosh , the people that were there wouldn't give me the time of day almost threw an information package at me , I would never buy anything from them .
Where's my checkbook
Why do I always see a few parts strewn about. No no matter the experimental aircraft. Always seems half as professional as the TRY to look. just sayin’
We have toured both Experimental (kit) and Certified manufacturing of Aircraft. They all look about the same. Some tidier then others sure. But...these are small production mostly "Hand Built" and very labor intensive. Verses say... an assembly line car manufacturer. Thanks for chiming in here and taking the time to watch.

Thank-you, and I appreciate that. I grew up in a small Alberta Town. My Dad bought a automotive repair shop 19 years after he immigrated (alone, no assistance from Govt…). My Dad and Mom opened the shop and they did all mechanical work from wheel-alignments, to brakes, to bearings, to electrical, to transmissions, to exhaust, to oil changes, to radiators / cooling systems, to high level of integrity/honesty.
My point, dear Sir, is that my Parents brought in and out, a modest-average of 6 automobiles per day…
…these experimental aircraft manufacturers/builders/maintainers, maybe do 1/10th of the processing. Yet, their shops are very-far from looking half-ash-professional.
just sayin’
35 per h. Great. But what about safety. Your life at stake. Many other things costly maintenance TBo ? Evry 100 h ? Haa
My Mortgage is Paid, I got to get a 400 !
Be careful what you wish for. I have one with 43 hours on it for sale. Make a honest offer . With a trailer
Hard to watch with all the " uh's and I means, and like, uhs." Not real in depth about anything.. disappointing.
I want to shove a turbine in one...might have one lying around here somewhere
I was 100% on board untill......
1. I sincerely hope that your sales associate is just your secretary giving a tour.
2. The acer pc.
I wouldn't buy a bicycle from that chick....
Jim p. Good thing she only sells Helicopters then I guess. :-) Not everyone is the best on camera...including myself. She actually is doing a great job marketing for the company and has a lot of creative ideas. We spoke a bit off camera on some of her ideas. At any rate... hope you learned something about helicopter manufacturing as I did and you can catch them in person at Sun-N-Fun and Oshkosh this year. Thanks for watching! See you in the next one.
Why because she is a lot smarter then you!
