@stevie31 Miriam's Vanishing looks like it might be very useful in a hybrid INT/DEX build, too, if combined with Assassin's Gambit and Unseen Form. Using Gravitational Missile or an AoW afterward to really catch hosts off guard with it should be fun. 😁 (Collapsing stars is really hard to see when cast in the missile!)
Its videos like this that proves mages have an incredibly high skill ceiling compared to other playstyles. Well done, great combos and perfect spacing. Music was a perfect touch to this too.

worst part is that it breaks lock on... It infuriates me to seven hells when your controls suddenly work differently. And also that goddamned fucntion of "center camera" when you try to lock back on did more psychic damage to me than any spell really could

@@gusriojas2600 wouldn't be as much of a problem if there were five players for a world. Two invaders and three gankers would be totally doable. God can you imagine how good it would be to have a teammate? I so badly wish it was six players for world like dark souls 3

But I would say at least 2 out of three times if I invade against a host and two cooperators, the invader friend usually always ends up trying to fight me, I use all my flasks to try and stave him off while 3 people gank me lol it's such bs. They really should just put legitimate covenants like in dark souls if they want to compete for the hosts rune arcs but right now it's just totally fucked if I'm being honest. I'm an honest invader too, bow before each fight if I can, target the furled fingers before the host. Unfortunately this is just wishful thinking instead of what the games pvp really is. Invulnerability for invaders in the same covenant or "finger" would be fucking great and would fix a lot in itself

I'm just worried that you know whenever it is 4 years from now they release another souls game that they're going to completely gut and remove PvP. There's nothing else combat wise PVP like souls games. For Honor supposedly? I guess. I don't really want to play it I want to play souls games. Sigh
@@Rain1 makes me sad that they've had years to perfect their pvp taking aspects from each fromsoft game and molding it into what could literally be the most perfect pvp game ever created and instead getting some gank ass gameplay. 1v3 is already enough lol I don't want to be worried about "allies" targeting me too. Then again the only way they'll change it is enough people complain and talk about it so I try and point it out on every major pvp souls RUclipsr I can, hopefully nudge them in the right direction you know?. 2:31 dude there's going to be some really high skill level play with gravitational missile because it does continue to move forward just a little bit after you cast it and it starts pulling in. You can see here that it exploded before it was "supposed to" because it hit the wall due to the fact that it moves forward slowly slightly, which caught that dude off guard and he died from it, unable to react to what he thought was going to be the explosion timing.
I have found keeping Miriam's Vanishing in my first spell slot allows me to do some crazy vanishing and reappearing multiple times in a row following up spells. Takes a little getting use to in order to use it correctly but once you do, it pays dividends.
The only benefit in using the finger spell is having a slightly faster cast time than zamor ice storm. The fingers will also still come out as long as you’re halfway through casting the spell whereas ice storm won’t. But ice storm also does more damage so it’s really tough deciding between both spells. Zamor also allows you enough time to heal or you can use spinning weapon and they will true combo together

Been doing it as well. 80 intelligence and faith with the golden seal and prince of death staff. Light weight for fast movement and I just break everything really fast . Combining both schools simultaneously is really fun and so much fuckery you can do in mid fight .
@@happyduke99 I was doing that too but the damage output wasn't doing it for me . Then I switched to the pod staff and golden order . Every incantation and sorcery I use really hard once I switched .

My man, can I ask a suggestion please? I’m doing coop with my friend. I’m mostly PVE Int/Faith, helping my buddy in dungeons. We’re getting invaded constantly. And my spells aren’t dealing with the mix of PvE and PvP well. Do you have any hybrid recommendations, a “just in case I get invaded” mix of spells? It would really help my build out.
I have terra magica and flame grant me strength for 2, with golden vow in my offhand dagger. So I have 8 spells to mix and match pve, and in case I get invaded.
Im trying pvp for the first time with some success. My character is a mage so ive been trying some of these. My main issue atm is being ganked, especially by people with the fist weapons. Any advice here ?
@stevie31 I have it just when there's spells everywhere and 2 guys punching me. I gotta watch my fp more closely too bc I run out a few times and with those players there's nothing I can do. Grav missile is amazing tho
Hey just curious, are you on keyboard or controller? Your spell swaps are an ungodly speed, idk how you're so quick with it. Makes me think you're on keyboard unless I'm just slow. Also, do you have any tips for free-aiming spells? You're really good at that too lol.
@@lukis6220 Just a regular PS5 controller. Most spellls you dont need to free aim, the only ones i free aim in the video here are mass of putrescence and gravitational missle. To free aim, you just need to judge the distance of the spell you’re using. If the target is farther you want to tilt the camera up more and if theyre close you can aim directly into the ground
Never thought I'd see Tibia's Summons wiggle it's way into an actually decent build, much less be capable of doing 4-digit damage, has it always been able of doing this or have I missed something?

Never thought I'd see Tibia's Summons wiggle it's way into an actually decent build, much less be capable of doing 4-digit damage, has it always been able of doing this or have I missed something?
Yeah I have clip of it triple one shoting a group with just the ash of war. All phantoms over 1000 hp

Tibia Summons is a great choice to have after Thorns because it shares roughly the same gesturing. Masterfully deceitful.

How do you feel about cherishing fingers as it compares to zamor?

I saw ice, glintstone , finger, scadutree, and night magic. Only 2-3 ghost flame spells. Nice mix sorc, but I wouldn’t call you a putrescent mage
